कर्दम ऋषि कावन प्रस्थान एवं कपिल जी द्वारा देवहूति को तेज देना कपिल जी से आदेश प्राप्त कर कर्दम जी ने उन्हें दंडवत प्रणाम किया और माया मोह का त्याग कर तब करने हेतु वन में चले गए मैथिली जी बोले हैं विदुर जी कपिल मुनि साक्षात श्री हरिनारायण थे यह सुनकर विदुर जी ने कहा यह जानकर कि कपिल जी साक्षात् नारायण थे और ज्ञान उपदेश देने हेतु अवतार लिए थे सोहे मैथिली जी उन्होंने कैसा ज्ञान दिया तथा सर्वप्रथम उनके द्वारा ज्ञान प्राप्त करने वाला प्राणी कौन था आप पूरी कथा विस्तार में सुनाने की कृपा करें तब मैथिली जी ने कहा कर्दम जी के वन प्रस्थान करने के पश्चात अपनी माता देवी के साथ कपिल जी उस पवित्र सरोवर के पास सरस्वती के तट पर रहने लगे जहां विदुर सर तीर्थ बना है 1 दिन उनकी माता को ब्रह्मा के कहे वचनों का स्मरण होगा आय वह कपिल जी के निकट जाकर बोली है हे प्रभु इंद्रियां मेरे बस में नहीं है यदा-कदा मेरा मन अत्यंत चंचल एवं अधीर हो जाता है जो छठ प्रतिक्षण मुझे अज्ञान रूपी सागर में डूबने का प्रयास करती है मेरा सौभाग्य कि आपने मेरी कोख से जन्म लेकर मेरे तन को पवित्र किया किंतु आप मुझ पर कृपा करके अपने ज्ञान रूपी भंडार से उपदेश देकर मेरे मन की चंचलता एवं विषय कामना की भावनाओं को दूर करके मैं आपकी शरण में हूं प्रभु जैसे सूर्य की किरणों के आगमन से अंधकार रूपी रात्रि का अंत हो जाता है उसी प्रकार मेरे मन से अज्ञान रूपी अंधकार को दूर कर प्रकार ज्योति से मेरे अत्यंत करुणा ज्योतिर्मयी करें देवहूति के वचन सुनकर कपिल देव जी मृदुल शरीर में बोले हे माते यह गुण भेद को पूछ कर तुमने मुझे अत्यंत आनंदित प्रदान की ऋषि मुनि और ज्ञान तत्व को जाने वाले प्राणी ही ऐसे बात पूछते हैं अतः सुनाओ मनुष्य के कल्याण हेतु आध्यात्मिक योग है जिससे मनुष्य मात्र का कल्याण होता है और मोह माया के बंधन से मुक्ति पाकर सद्गति को प्राप्त होता है विषयों की कामना से बंधन की प्राप्ति होती है तथा प्रभु के ध्यान भजन से मुक्ति का द्वार खुलता है भागवत भक्ति एक ऐसी साधन है जिसमें मन की शुद्धि होने के साथ प्राकृतिक से परे भी अखंड ज्योति के दर्शन होते हैं काम मात्र लोग एवं क्रोध को विद्वान लोग अतीत का नाम देते हैं और असंगठित को मोक्ष प्राप्त करने के मार्ग की बाधा अत्यंत मन से आश्रित भाव को त्याग कर प्रभु के चरण कमलों का ध्यान करना चाहिए और ज्ञानियों के साथ बैठकर सत्संग सुनना चाहिए कपिल जी के वचन को सुन कर दे होती बिचारने लगी कि ज्ञानी जन एवं भक्तों कैसे होते हैं उनकी रूप रंग में कैसी विशेषता होती है जिससे उनकी पहचान कर सकें और सत्संग पा सकें उनकी भावनाओं को कपिल जी पहचान गए और बोले हे माते ज्ञानी महात्माओं को किसी के वचनों से कष्ट नहीं पहुंचता चाहे उन्हें दूर वचन कहो अथवा गुणवान करो वह सदैव समान रहते हैं कभी किसी पर क्रोध नहीं करते शांत स्वभाव एवं मधुर वाणी ही उनकी पहचान है वह सदैव प्राणियों से प्रेम करते हैं और 19 दिन में मेरे चरणों का ध्यान करते हैं और क्रियान्वयन में मग्न रहते हैं हर प्रकार की बलि एवं बुरी बातों को परमेश्वर की इच्छा मान कर चलते हैं अपनी समस्त इंद्रियों को एकाग्र करके प्रभु की ऐसी स्थिति करना ही सच्ची प्रभु भक्ति है और ज्ञानी महात्मा जान इंद्रियों को एकाग्र करने में समर्थ होते हैं मुझे प्राप्त करने की अभिलाषा से मोह माया घर परिवार का त्याग करके वनों को चले जाते हैं तब करते हैं उनकी दृष्टि में पशु पक्षी अथवा मनुष्य हर किसी को एक भाव से देखते हैं कपिल जी के मुख से ज्ञान से परिपूर्ण बातें सुनकर देव अति अति विनयशील होकर बोली है ज्ञान चक्षु मूर्ति स्त्री को ऐसा ज्ञान प्राप्त होना कठिन है अतः आप अपने भक्ति मुझे प्रदान करें एवं पूजा करने की विधि बदला कर प्रकृति का वर्णन करके मेरे मन में ज्ञान ज्योति का प्रवेश करें तब कपिल देव जी ने कहा माथ प्राकृतिक का भेद शरीर कहलाता है प्रकृति के समस्त तत्व शरीर में विद्यमान है जो सतोगुण रजोगुण एवं तमोगुण के नाम से जाने जाते हैं यह तीनों गुण परीक्षा है और माया वृक्ष की शाखा है प्राकृतिक रूप शरीर को पंच तत्वों से मिलकर बना है क्षिति जल पावक अग्नि गगन एवं समीर वायु पांच तत्वों से अलग आत्मा का रूप होता है मृत्यु को प्राप्त होने पर प्राणियों का शरीर पंचतत्व में विलीन हो जाता है किंतु आत्मा कभी नहीं मरती वह अजर और अमर है इसलिए इंद्रियों के सुख को सर्वोत्तम सुख मानने की भूल नहीं करनी चाहिए और आत्मा को पूर्ण ब्रह्म परमात्मा का स्वरूप समझना चाहिए क्योंकि अत्यंत तो गोवत शरीर से आत्मा निकलकर परमात्मा के रूप में जाकर विलीन हो जाती है परमेश्वर धार धार माय ही सबका जनक उत्पन्न करता हूं माही सर्व विद्यमान हूं मेरा ध्यान भजन एवं सुमिरन करके प्राणी बहुत मन धन से छुटकारा मुक्ति को प्राप्त करेगा
