श्रीमद् भागवत कथा पुराण चतुर्थी स्कंध अध्याय 19 आरंभ

राजा प्रीत द्वारा अवशोषित में यादों का पूर्ण होना एबी दूर राजा प्रीत को आशीर्वाद देकर पृथ्वी अपने स्थान को चले गए ताजा की समस्त प्रजा सुखी हो गई तब राजा ने ब्राह्मणों को बुलाकर अश्वमेध यज्ञ कराने का संकल्प लिया हुए ब्रह्मचारी ओं में जहां इस मनु मनु रहते थे उसी स्थान पर जाकर निष्काम भावना से यज्ञ करने लगे क्योंकि उनके मन में किसी प्रकार का लोकनाथ था किसी प्रकार के लालच से प्रभावित होकर यज्ञ नहीं कर रहे थे इसलिए उसके यज्ञ करने से दूध दही एवं ही की नदी बहने लगी रत्न आदि समुद्र एवं खानों से बिन खुदाई किए हुए प्रगट होने लगे समस्त राजा से दरिद्रता का नाश हो गया हर एक मनुष्य जो उस राजा में निवास करता था सुखी एवं संपन्न हो गया और उसके पश्चात राजा प्रीत ने अपना घोड़ा छोड़कर और अपनी सेना घोड़े के पीछे लगा दी वह श्याम वर्ण वाला घोड़ा सातों दीपों का चक्कर लगा कर चला आया किसी राजा में इतनी सामर्थ ना थी कि उसे बांध सकें एक-एक कर समस्त राजाओं ने उनकी अधीनता स्वीकार कर ली किंतु जब राजा प्रीत ने जो यज्ञ आरंभ किया और घोड़ा रोड चंचल हिर्दय देवराज इंद्र ने विचार किया कि यह यज्ञ संपन्न हो जाने पर राजा प्रीत मेरा इंद्रासन फिंगर पोयम आसीन हो जाए तो उसे छोड़े गए घोड़े को बांध लिया जिससे कि यज्ञ पूर्ण ना हो सके और अपने पुत्र को घोड़ा पकड़ने हेतु भेज किंतु बड़े-बड़े शूरवीर योद्धाओं को देखकर साहस ना कर सका और खाली हाथ निराश होकर लौट आया तथा इंद्र से बोला राजा प्रीत के घोड़ों को पकड़ने की समस्त मुझ में नहीं है आप मैं भोपाल है स्वयं जाकर घोड़ों को पकड़ना ने पुत्र के वचन को सुनकर इंद्र ने विचार किया कि राजा प्रीत अत्यंत धर्मात्मा एवं न्याय तथा वर्तमान उसे युद्ध करके जीत पाना कदाचित संभव नहीं है इसलिए चलकर ही सर्वस्व उचित होगा और योगी का रूप धारण कर घोड़े के पास गया राजा के सैनिकों ने एक योगी को घोड़े के पास जाता देख कर कुछ ना बोले जो इंद्र के लिए बहुत ही अच्छा था और उन्होंने घोड़े की लगाम पकड़कर आकाश मार्ग से होते हुए इंद्रलोक चले गए इंद्र के कार्य को देखकर राजा के सैनिकों ने जाकर सारा वृत्तांत राजा प्रीत को कहा सुनाया तब राजा ने यज्ञ में आए हुए ब्राह्मणों से कहा है ब्राह्मण देव आप लोग अपनी ज्ञान दृष्टि से देख कर यह बदलाव की योगी का रूप धारण करहल कार्य करने किसने किया राजा के वचनों को सुनकर ब्राम्हण में दिव्य दृष्टि से देख कर मालूम किया कि राजा प्रीत को संबोधित करते हुए बोले हे राजन् आपको यज्ञ करते देव देवराज इंद्र को अपनी इंद्रासन के छूट जाने का भय सताने लगा है यह सुनकर आजा कहने लगे मुझे इंद्रासन प्राप्त करने का लोग नहीं है किंतु देवराज ने मेरे यज्ञ को पूर्ण होने से रोकने का प्रयास किया है इसलिए घोड़े को वापस लाना अति आवश्यक है और उन्होंने अपने पुत्र को घोड़ा वापस लाने की आज्ञा दी तथा साथ ही अत्रि ऋषि को भेजा जिस समय अत्रि ऋषि और विजेता इंद्रलोक के नजदीक पहुंचे तो देखा कि यज्ञ का घोड़ा लिए हुए इंद्रदेव जा रहे हैं इंद्र की करनी देखकर विराजत को अत्यधिक क्रोध हुआ और उसने अपने धनुष पर सारा वृत्तांत नामक बाण चलाकर यूं ही प्रयत्न दूरी खींची उसी समय घोड़े को छोड़कर उसके डर से इंद्रदेव अंतर्ध्यान हो गए तब भी जाता स्वयं घोड़े को राजा प्रीत के पास लाकर बोला यह पिता महाराज मुझे देखते ही घोड़ों को छोड़कर इंद्र पलायन भाग जाना कर गया उधर घोड़ा चीन होने से इंद्र अत्यंत लज्जित हुआ तब अपनी माया फैलाकर अंधेरे को उत्पन्न किया और राजा प्रीत के सॉरी यज्ञ को पूर्ण ना होने के उद्देश्य से अनेक बार घोड़ों को चुरा कर ले गया और हर एक बार भी जाता तो उसके हाथ से जुड़े को छीन कर वापस ले आए किंतु इस पर भी इंद्र ना मना तब क्रोधित होकर स्वयं राजा प्रीत ने धनुष बाण उठा लिया और इंद्र का संघार करने हेतु तत्पर हुआ यह देखकर यज्ञ करने हेतु आए हुए विद्वान ब्राह्मण एवं ऋषि यों ने समझाया हे राजन क्रोध करने से तन में संचित शक्ति का वास होता है तुमने सब यज्ञ पूर्ण करने का संकल्प लिया था वैसे ही तुम्हारे हाथों से इंद्र की मृत्यु नहीं लिखी है फिर भी राजा का क्रोध शांत ना हुआ तब रिसीवर पुनः बोले यदि आपको इंद्रासन प्राप्त करने की अभिलाषा है तो उसे इंद्रपुरी से निकाल दो और इंद्रासन का सुख भोगने तब राजा प्रीत ने कहा हे रिसीवड इंद्रासन पाने की जान नहीं है किंतु इंद्र को बार-बार छल करने से मेरा मन फिल्म हो गया इसलिए मैं उसे दंड देना चाहता हूं तब ब्राह्मणों ने उन्हें समझाया आरंभ किया उसी समय देवर्षि नारद और ब्रह्मा जी भी आए और बोले के राजा प्रीत अब धर्मात्मा एवं न्याय के पुजारी जी हैं यदि आप सो हुआ यज्ञ नहीं भी करोगे तब भी श्री नारायण का दर्शन आपको प्राप्त होगा और मुक्ति पथ पाओगे इसलिए मेरा कहा मान यज्ञ की पूर्णाहुति कर दो उसक वचन सुनकर राजा प्रीत ने उसकी आज्ञा मानकर यज्ञ की पूर्णाहुति कर दी उसके बाद स्वयं ब्रह्मा जी वहां से प्रस्थान कर श्री हरि नारायण के पास पहुंचे और कहने लगे हे प्रभु आप तो अंतर्यामी है भक्तों के स्वामी हैं आप यह भी जानते हैं कि इंद्र की इच्छा के विपरीत कोई यज्ञ नहीं कर सकता और इस तरह महाराज प्रीत का संकल्प झूठा सिद्ध हो जाएगा आगे आपकी इच्छा प्रभु ब्रह्मा जी के वचनों को सुनकर तीन लोग तीन पति भगवान वासुदेव अपने प्रिय वाहन गरुड पर सवार होकर राजा प्रीत की यज्ञशाला में पधारे उसके चेहरे पर अलौकिक आभा चमक रही थी उसका चतुर रूप देखकर राजापरी सहित उपस्थित ऋषि गाना अपने भाग्य को सवारने लगे और प्रभु के सामने दंडवत करके वेद मंत्रों से उसकी स्तुति करने लगे

Seeing the work of Indra went to Indralok via the road, the king's soldiers went and narrated the whole story to King Preet, then the king said to the brahmins who came to the yagya, brahmin god, you people saw this change from the point of view of your knowledge. Who did the work to assume the form and listened to the words of the king? Seeing the divine vision in Mahan, I came to know that while addressing the king Preet, he said, O king, Devraj Indra, while performing the yajna, has started tormenting the fear of missing his Indrasan, hearing this, Aaja started saying that I do not have people to get Indrasan but Devraj has tried to stop my yagya from being completed, so it is very necessary to bring back the horse and he ordered his son to bring the horse back and also sent Atri Rishi, when Atri Rishi and the conqueror reached near Indraloka. Seeing that Indradev was going with a horse of Yagya, Virajat got very angry after seeing Indra's action and he tried to distance himself by shooting an arrow named Sara Vritant on his bow. Seeing this, the learned Brahmins and sages who came to perform the yajna explained, O king, due to anger, the accumulated power resides in the body, you had resolved to complete all the sacrifices, in the same way the death of Indra has not been written by your hands, yet the king's The anger did not subside, then the receiver said again, if you have a desire to receive Indrasan, then remove it from Indrapuri and enjoy the pleasure of Indrasan, then King Preet said, O receiving Indrasan, I do not want to get Indrasan, but by deceiving Indra again and again, I do not. The mind has become a film, so I want to punish him, then the Brahmins started explaining to him, at the same time Devarshi Narad and Brahma ji also came and said that King Preet is now a priest of righteousness and justice, even if you do not perform the yagya that has happened. You will get the darshan of Shree Narayan and you will get the path of liberation, that's why I said that Yajna should be done. After listening to his words, King Preet obeyed his command and completed the yagya, after that Brahma himself left from there and reached Shri Hari Narayan and started saying, O Lord, you are the inner lord, you are the lord of the devotees. That no one can perform a yajna against the wishes of Indra, and thus Maharaj Preet's resolve will be proved false. Further, listening to the words of Lord Brahma ji, three people, three husbands, Lord Vasudev, riding on their beloved vehicle Garuda, went to King Preet's yagyashala. A supernatural aura was shining on his face, seeing his clever form, the sages present along with the royal princess started singing their luck and worshiped him in front of the Lord and started praising him with Veda mantras.
