धनवान वैश्य की कथा सुनकर राजा रघुवर को भेज देना श्री सुखदेव जी बोले हे राजा परीक्षित गढ़ भरत जी राहुल को एक धनवान वैश्य की कथा सुनाते हुए कहने लगे हैं राजन बहुत समय पहले एक धनी व्यापारी एक नगर में रहता था वहां अपने साथ बहुत साथ कीमती द्रव्य लेकर दूसरे देश में व्यापार करने के लिए चला गया किंतु अपने साथ देखभाल करने के लिए कोई नौकर नहीं रखा उसे अकेला जान कई चोर उसके पीछे लगे वह धनी व्यापारी उस नगर के राह पर अपरिचित था जिस कारण राह भूलकर भटकते हुए एक जंगल में पहुंचा उस जंगल में शेर भालू आदि हिंसक प्राणी रहते थे डर के कारण एवं कटीली झाड़ियों सीखने से उसका मार्ग चलना कठिन हो गया फिर भी जैसे तैसे करके मन में यह विचार करता हुआ चला जा रहा था कि किसी प्रकार का यह जंगल पार करके बस्ती में पहुंच जाऊं परंतु कोसों दूर तक नजर दौड़ाने के बाद भी उसे बस्ती ना दिखाई दे जब चलते-चलते बहुत रात हो गई तब चोरों ने उसे किस स्थान पर पकड़ कर लूट आरंभ कर दिया उस समय वैश्य ने विचार किया कि चोरों के लूटने से जो माल बच जाएगा उसे से मैं अपना व्यापार आरंभ कर लूंगा किंतु चोरों ने उसके पास एक पाई ना थोड़ा और मारने के लिए धमकाया वह वेश्या अत्यंत घबराकर उस जंगल में रात बिताने के लिए स्थान खोजने लगा किंतु बाग एवं शेरों की भयानक सुनकर जंगल से निकलने के लिए चल पड़ा राह में सर्प बिच्छू दिखाई देते इसे देखकर वह कहां जाता पैर में कांटा चुभ जाते किंतु उन लोगों के भयानक आवाज सुनाई देती तो जंगल में कहीं आग लगी हुई दिखाई देती वह डर कर भागने लगा ठोकर खाकर गिर पड़ा इसी तरह अत्यंत दुख आते हुए वह एक सूखे हुए कुएं में गिर पड़ा उसको में बरगद की दाल जली हुई थी जिसे पकड़ कर वह लटके हुए लटक गया हुए की तली में एक सांप कुंडली मारे हुए बैठा था आकाशीय बिजली की चमक से उत्पन्न हुई रोशनी में उसने सांप और जिस डाली पर बैठा हुआ था उस डाली को उत्तर रहे दो चूहों को देखकर उसका मन कहां उठा और विचार करने लगे कि यदि हाथ में डाली टूट गई तो मैं सीधा सर्प के पास जा कर लूंगा और उसके धंसने से मर जाऊंगा और यदि इस तरह बैठा रहूं तो चूहे डाली को काट डालेंगे फिर भी सर्प के मुंह से गिर लूंगा यह विचार कर वहां चिंतित हो रहा था उसी बरगद के वृक्ष पर एक शहद का छत्ता था जो डाली हिलने से शहर टपकता था और शहद वैश्य के मुंह में जाता था चाहत का मधुर स्वाद पाकर वह पैसे अत्यंत प्रसन्न हो उठा हे राजन वह साहब माया थी उसी प्राप्त कर वहां अत्यंत प्रसन्न हो रहा था यदि वह प्रयत्न करता तो बरगद की जिस डाल पर बैठा था उसे पकड़ कर ऊपर चढ़ जाता और उसके प्राण बच जाते हैं किंतु उसने ऐसा ना किया क्योंकि माया रूपी साहब को पाकर इतना आनंद विभोर हो गया कि मृत्यु रूपी सत्य को भुला गया और चूहों द्वारा डाली उत्तर जाने के पश्चात शत्रु की मृत्यु के मुंह में जा गिरा यह गति सांसारिक मनुष्य की है मनुष्य माया मोह के जाल में फंसकर परमेश्वर को भूल जाते हैं और लोग मध्य काम एवं क्रोध रूपी चोरों के साथ आठों पहर रहते हैं जड़ भरत के ज्ञान रूपी वचनों को सुनकर राजा राघोगढ़ बोले हैं महात्मा आप धन्य हैं आपने मुझसे अज्ञानी को ज्ञान का उपदेश देकर कृत किया आप के सत्संग से मेरा जीवन सार्थक हो गया

I go, but even after looking far and wide, he could not see the settlement, when it was a long night while walking, then at which place the thieves caught him and started looting, at that time the Vaishya thought that the goods which were left by the thieves to rob. I will start my business with him, but thieves have got a penny from him to kill a little more. Threatened, the prostitute was very frightened and started looking for a place to spend the night in that forest, but after hearing the horror of the garden and the lions, she went to leave the forest. When the sound was heard, there was a fire somewhere in the forest, he started running in fear and stumbled and fell in the same way, feeling very sad, he fell into a dry well, he had burnt banyan lentils, which he caught hanging. At the bottom of Gaya, a snake was sitting with a coil, in the light generated by the glow of celestial lightning, he saw the snake and the two rats answering the branch on which he was sitting, where did his mind rise and started thinking that if the hand If the branch breaks, then I will go straight to the snake and I will die due to its sinking and if I sit like this, the rats will bite the branch, still I will fall from the snake's mouth, thinking that there was worrying about the same banyan. Because after getting the sahib in the form of Maya, he became so happy that the truth of death was forgotten and after being cast by rats, he fell in the mouth of the enemy's death.
