लोक आलोक पर्वत का वृतांत राजा परीक्षित में श्री सुखदेव जी से पूछा है महात्मा रहा था प्रियव्रत का रथ चलने से सात दीपों और सात समुद्र बन गए थे आप उनका विस्तार पूर्वक वर्णन करने की कृपा करें राजा परीक्षित के वचनों को सुनकर श्री सुखदेव जी बोले हे राजन् आपने अति उत्तम प्रश्न किया है मैं जब बुद्धि के हुए खंडों का विस्तार पर्वक वर्णन करता हूं आप ध्यान देकर सुने जब डिपो में 100000 योजना भूमि है और इसी भूमि के चौथे भाग में लोक आलोक पर्वत तथा एक तिहाई भाग में सातों दीप एवं समुद्र है राजा प्रियव्रत के सातों दीपों को आपने सातों पुत्रों में बांट दिया और स्वयं तब करने के लिए वन में चले गए उसके पश्चात प्रियव्रत के बड़े पुत्र और नीतीश ने जब को दीप को नवखंड में बैठकर अपने पुत्रों को एक-एक खंड का राजा बना दिया उसके पुत्रों के जो नाम थे वही नाम पर नाव खंडों के नाम पूरे उत्कल खंड किरण खंड भद्रेश्वर खंड के तू मलखान का बखान नाभि खान कि पुरुष खान भरतखंड और नरहरी खंड 11 पर्वत नौ खंडों के सिहासन विद्यमान है जम्मू दीप के मध्य इक्वल लावता वृत्त खंड के बीच सुमेरु पर्वत है जो एक लाख योजना ऊंचा है यह पर्वत 84 हजार योजन पृथ्वी के ऊपर तथा 16000 योजन पृथ्वी के नीचे दशा है वृत्त के उत्तर भाग में नील सोए तथा त्रिभुवन पर्वत है इन तीनों लोगों से तीनों खान की सीमा बनती है इनका वृत्त के दक्षिण में स्वयं फूट तथा हिमालय फैले हुए हैं इस पर्वत से नर हरी खंड श्री पुरुष खंड एवं भरतखंड की सीमा बनती है इनका प्रीत की पश्चिम और गद आगमन तथा माल वन पर्वत है पूर्व दिशा में नील तथा निष्ठा पर्वत है गधा मान एवं माल मान पर्वत भव्य अश्व खड और केतु माल खंड की सीमा बनते हैं इसके अतिरिक्त मदार मेरु मदार सुप्रिया और कुमुद नाम के चार पर्वत 10 10,000 योजना लंबे मेरु पर्वत से निकले हुए हैं इन चारों पर्वत पर दूध शहद जल एवं रस के 4 कुंड हैं चारों और अत्यंत सुंदर बाग बगीचे तथा पुष्प वाटिका है सुमेरू पर्वत की चोटी पर 10000 योजन से ब्रम्हपुरी जो स्वर्ग गणित रत्नों से बनी हुई है तथा कुबेर पूरी वरुण पूरी इंद्रपुरी और यमपुरी में बसी हुई है जहां एक एक पहर बात सूर्य का रथ पहुंचता है ब्रम्हपुरी से प्रभावित होकर गंगा जी सुमेरु पर्वत के नीचे गंगोत्री में जाकर मिल गई हैं और वहां से बहती हुई लोक कल्याण कर रही है
