उद्धव जी को आत्म तत्व का ज्ञान होना
भगवान श्री कृष्णा जी बोले हैं उद्धव जी सत्संग से मुझे परम आनंद प्राप्त होता है सत्संग का रसपान कराने वाले मनुष्य के हृदय में मेरे चरणों के प्रतीक उत्पन्न होती है गीता वेद पुराण आदि के पढ़ने से मुझे इतनी क्षमता नहीं होती तो जानते हो ब्रज में मैंने तुम्हें गोपियों को ब्रह्म ज्ञान का उपदेश देने कराने के लिए भेजा था किंतु जाकर उनके प्रेम करने के स्वरूप में इस तरह रंग गए कि ब्रह्म ज्ञान का उपदेश ही भूल गए गोपियों ने ना तो वेद पड़ा था और ना ही पुराण फिर भी वह मेरे प्रेम में कांटों पर मरना रहती थी इसलिए कि वह मुझे अपना समझती थी उनके हृदय में सभी विषय भावना उत्पन्न नहीं हुई केवल वह मेरे मित्र मंडल को देखकर वे प्रसन्न रहती थी एक बुद्ध उन सब ने मेरी भक्ति की जिससे मैंने प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें बैकुंठ लोक प्रदान किया संसार में विचार रहे विषयों प्राणी स्वरूप गंधवानी हाथी को सर्वश्रेष्ठ मानकर सत लिप्त रहते हैं जिससे उन्हें दुख होना होता है प्राणी को चाहिए कि निष्काम भाव से फल की आशा किए बिना ही कर्म करें फल की चिंता ना करें कर्मानुसार फल अवश्य प्राप्त होता है यह यथार्थ सत्य है आत्मा को शुद्ध करके ह्रदय में मेरे स्वरूप का ध्यान करके पूजा करना श्रेष्ठ है जो मनुष्य जगत को दिखाने के लिए धर्म कर्म करता है उसे सांसारिक यश प्राप्त होता है किंतु मेरे प्राप्ति नहीं होती मुझे प्राप्त करने के लिए मन शुद्ध हो एकाग्रता पूर्ण श्रद्धा एवं भक्ति योग एवं मनुष्य आत्मा एवं शरीर को एक मानते हुए आपके यहां के कारण ऐसा कहते हैं क्योंकि आत्मा का स्वरूप परमात्मा से है और स्थूल शरीर पांच तत्वों में निर्मित हो जो प्रभु की माया कहलाती है स्थूल शरीर का जन्म होता है और मृत्यु को प्राप्त होता है सुषमा शरीर आत्मा अजर अमर है इस प्राणी को आत्मा का ज्ञान हो जाता है अर्थात ह्रदय में ज्ञान ज्योति का आविर्भाव होता है वह परमात्मा के अत्यंत निकट पहुंच जाता है यह उद्धव जी कथा का तत्व है कि आत्मा स्वयं एक प्रकाश कुंजी है कर्तव्य एवं भुगतान आदि कार्यस्थल सांसारिक सूचना शरीर के द्वारा कार्य संपादित होता है और ठंड भी उसी ही भोगना होता है जीव ही कर्म का भोक्ता और कारक है बाय है जगत के परिवर्तन को जो प्राणी ज्ञान समझता है वह घन घोर अनर्थ करता है और सदा जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र में फस रहता है इस तरह जब जीव जन्म मरण के बंधन से मुक्त नहीं हुआ तो वह परतंत्र ही समझो स्वतंत्रता जो तब होती है जब वह मुक्त रहता है यदि तुम यह विचार करते हो कि उत्तम से उत्तम कार्य करने वाले सुखी रहता है तो यह सोचना भी अनुचित है क्योंकि प्रयास ऐसा देखा जाता है कि धर्म का नहीं करते हुए सुखी रहते और धर्मात्मा पूर्व दुखी देखने गए हैं इसलिए के उद्धवजी प्राणी कर्म करें और कर्म का फल मुझे अर्पित कर दे इसी से उसे सच्चा सुख प्राप्त होगा यदि धर्म कर्म के कारण प्राणी स्वर्ग चला जाता है तो वह उन्हें इंद्र आदि देवता के समान दिव्य रथ प्राप्त होता है ऐश्वर्य की वस्तु प्राप्त होती है पूर्ण फल के अनुसार वह दिव्य सुखों का भोग करता है तत्पश्चात जब उनके पुण्य फल समाप्त हो जाते हैं तो नीचे गिरने लगता है यही संगति करने से आधार मार्ग पर चलता है तो उसे नरक प्राप्त होता है जहां कर्म अनुसार दंड निर्धारित है
