शिव जी द्वारा मार्कंडेय ऋषि को वरदान
श्री सूत जी बोले श्री श्री ओम श्री हरि माया का स्वरूप देखने के उपरांत मारकंडे जी ने अपने हृदय में विचार किया कि मायाधर की माया अपरंपार है उसके माया से मुक्त होने का एकमात्र मर गया उसकी शरण में जाकर विनती करो मुझसे बहुत बड़ा अपराध हुआ है जो मैंने प्रभु की माया देखने की इच्छा व्यक्त की है प्रभु आपकी माया का पहाड़ ब्रह्मा शिव इंद्र आदि देवता तथा योगी महायोगी ना पा सके फिर मेरी क्या समर्थ है यह विचार कर नदी के तट पर बैठे हुए मारकंडे जी अपने मित्रों को मूंदकर श्री हरि के कमल मंत्र चरणों का ध्यान करने लगे उसी समय भगवान शिव शंकर जी एवं देवी पार्वती नदी पर सवार होकर वितरण करते हुए वहां पहुंचे उनके साथ गांड भी थे मार्कंडेय ऋषि भूमि पर बैठे प्रभु का ध्यान कर रहे थे उन्हें देखकर पार्वती जी कहने लगी हे स्वामी इस ब्राह्मण को देखो कठिन तब करने के कारण इसके अस्थि पंजर ही शेष बचे हैं हे स्वामी आप तो भक्त कौशल्य हैं ब्राह्मण की तपस्या का कुछ फल अवश्य दीजिए पार्वती के कहने पर भगवान शिव शंकर ने अपने प्रिया के साथ मारकंडे जी के निकट पहुंचे उस समय मार्कंडेय जी अपने अनंत स्थल में श्री हरि के चतुर्भुजी स्वरूप का दर्शन पा रहे थे अतः शिव जी के आगमन को जानना शर्मा ऋषि को ध्यान मांगना देख शिव जी पार्वती जी से कहने लगी है प्रिय मार्कंडेय ऋषि को ना रोक की चिंता है ना परलोक की मोक्ष प्राप्त करने की अभिलाषा भी इन्हीं के ह्रदय में नहीं है इसलिए मैं श्री हरि के चरणों का निर्माण भक्त प्राप्त हो चुकी है फिर भी तुम कहती हो तो मैं तुम्हारे कथा अनुसार कार्य करूंगा यह गाकर भगवान शिव जी ने अपने योग बल से मार्कंडेय जी के हृदय में प्रवेश किया यह रिशु अचानक ही हरि के चतुर्भुज स्वरूप के स्थान पर बात पर पहने गले में वरमाला और तन में बहुत होते त्रिशूलधारी भूत को देखकर मारकंडे जी ने अपने नेत्रों को खोला दिया और प्रत्यक्ष में भी हुआ रूप देखकर आश्चर्यचकित हुए उसी समय भगवान शिवजी हंसकर बोले हे ऋषि राज तुम्हारी भक्ति देखकर मैं तुम्हारा दर्शन करने चला आया शिव जी के वचनों को सुनकर हाथ जोड़ते हुए मार्कंडेय जी अति विनती स्वरूप में बोले हे प्रभु आप सर्वशक्तिमान है 11 रूद्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ रूद्र आप कहे जाते हैं मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूं मैं आपके सद्गुण रजोगुण एवं तमोगुण रूपी स्वरूप को नमस्कार करता हूं तत्पश्चात शिवजी कहने लगेंगे रिसीवर हमारा दर्शन अन्यथा नहीं होता अतः मनोवांछित वर मांगो जो सदा सर्वदा सर्वत्र तथा आत्मा का दर्शन करते हैं उन ब्राह्मणों की हम सेवा करते हैं भगवान शंकर की अमृतवाणी सुनकर मारकंडे जी का हृदय भर आया और तत्पश्चात मारकंडे जी को कहने लगे हे भगवान आपके दर्शन से बढ़कर मेरी लिए और कौन सा वार होगा आपके दर्शन से मेरी समस्त इच्छा पूर्ण हो गई मैं केवल आपसे यह चाहता हूं कि मेरी भक्ति सदैव भगवान श्री नारायण के तथा आपके चरणों में बनी रहे तब भगवान शिव जी ने आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा हे भक्त मेरी कृपा से तुम कल के अंतिम क्षणों तक जीवित रहोगे और कभी वृद्धावस्था को प्राप्त नहीं होंगे तथा 18 पराणों में से एक पुराण तुम्हारे नाम से प्रगट होकर संसार में यश प्राप्त करेंगे इस तरह तुम्हारा नाम सदैव अमर रहेगा

Lord Shiva's boon to sage Markandeya
Shri Sut ji said Shri Shri Om Shri Hari After seeing the form of Maya, Markande ji thought in his heart that Mayadhar's illusion is limitless. I have expressed my desire to see the illusion of the Lord, Lord, the mountain of your illusion, Brahma, Shiva, Indra etc. Gods and Yogi Mahayogi could not find it, then thinking what is my ability, Markande ji sitting on the bank of the river blindfolded his friends and prayed to Shri Hari. Kamal started meditating on the mantra feet, at the same time Lord Shiv Shankar ji and Goddess Parvati reached there while distributing the river. Markandeya Rishi was also sitting on the ground meditating on the Lord. Look at the Brahmin, because of making it difficult then only his bones are left. Oh Lord, you are a devotee of Kaushalya. Do give some fruit of the Brahmin's penance. The four-armed voice of Shri Hari in his infinite place They were getting darshan of P, so knowing about the arrival of Lord Shiva, seeing Sharma asking for the attention of Rishi, Shiv ji started saying to Parvati ji, Dear Markandeya Rishi, there is no worry about stopping him, nor does he have the desire to attain salvation in the hereafter. That's why I am a devotee of Shri Hari's feet. Still you say, I will act according to your story. By singing this, Lord Shiva entered Markandeya's heart with his yogic power. Markande ji opened his eyes on seeing a ghost wearing a garland around his neck and having many tridents in his body and was surprised to see the visible form as well. Went to see Shiva's words, after listening to the words of Lord Markandeya, folding his hands, said in a very pleading form, O Lord, you are the Almighty, you are called the best Rudra among 11 Rudras. Yes then say Shivji Receiver will be installed, otherwise our darshan will not happen, so ask for the desired groom who always sees the soul everywhere and we serve those Brahmins. Markande ji's heart was filled with joy after listening to Lord Shankar's Amritvani and after that he started saying to Markande ji, O Lord, have your darshan. What other war would be better for me than seeing you, all my wishes were fulfilled, I only want from you that my devotion should always remain in Lord Shri Narayan and at your feet, then Lord Shiva blessed and said, O my devotee By grace, you will live till the last moments of tomorrow and will never attain old age and one of the 18 Puranas will appear in your name and get fame in the world, thus your name will remain immortal forever.
