श्रीमद् भागवत की संक्षिप्त कथा
श्री सूक्त जी बोले ही रिसीव श्रीमद् भागवत पुराण में भागवत धर्म के गोपनीय रहस्य है जिस परम ब्रह्मा के द्वारा सृष्टि का सृजन पालन एवं नाश होता है उसका ज्ञान इस पुराण में बतलाया गया है इसी में श्रीमद् भागवत कथा महापुराण में भक्ति योग्य वैराग्य राज्य पक्षी शृंगा ऋषि द्वारा शराब राजा परीक्षित का गंगा तट पर जाना श्री सुखदेव जी का आगमन योग द्वारा शरीर त्यागने की विधि ब्रह्मा जी तथा देवर्षि नारद जी की वार्ता श्री नारायण के अवतार की कथा मैथिली का महात्मा विदुर को उपदेश देना विराट भगवान की कथा भगवान का वारा रूप धारणकर हिरण्यकश्यप का वध करके पृथ्वी गोलाकार ब्रह्मांड में स्थापित करना कपिल देव जी द्वारा महात्मा देव भूत को संघ के योग का उपदेश दक्ष प्रजापति के यज्ञ में सती का देह त्याग करना और भगवान शिव जी द्वार दक्ष का यज्ञ विधि ज्ञान होना राजा दूर पृथ्वी एवं प्राचीन वारसी के चरित्रों का वर्णन राजा प्रियव्रत नाम एवं जड़ भरत की कथा साध्वी पूनम खंडों का वृतांत ज्योतिष चक्र का वर्णन तथा विजेताओं द्वारा सृष्टि विस्तार ब्रिता सुर की कथा भगवान श्री हरि का नरसिंह रूप धारण कर भक्त पहलाद की रक्षा करने का वृतांत मनोहरण करो वर्णन गजेंद्र ग्रह युद्ध का अवतार समुद्र मंथन और भगवान का मोहिनी रूप धारण करने की कथा राजा बलि तथा वामन अवतार की कथा सूर्यवंशी राजाओं की कथा राजा नीर सुकन्या चपरासी सरवन खंडवा माधवा एवं महासागर का वर्णन परशुराम एवं राम अवतार की कथा राजा दुष्यंत और शकुंतला का वृतांत राजावत और देवयानी की कथा वासुदेव के पुत्र के रूप में भगवान श्री कृष्ण का जन्म लेकर गोकुल पहुंचने की कथा वहां नंद यशोदा को अपने बाल लीला दिखा कर मकान आदि चुराना गोपियों के संग रास रचाने का वध करना तत्पश्चात श्री कृष्णा और रुक्मणी जामवंती विवाह सूर्य का 16100 माह भारत आर्मी राजाओं का नाश करना और धर्म की स्थापना करना दुर्वासा ऋषि से सराहना कर यदुवंशियों का नाश करा कर अपने परमधाम जाना रिशु श्रीमद्भागवत पुराण की संपूर्ण कथा एवं सांसद शहर सुना जो सांसारिक महापुराण का पाठ भगवान श्री कृष्ण चंद्र के स्वरूप का ध्यान करते हुए नित्य प्रति करेगा उसे श्याम सुंदर की कृपा प्राप्त होगी और वह अपने जन्म मरण के बंधन से मुक्त होकर भवसागर से पार हो जाएगा
