भरत का चरित्र वर्णन
श्री मैथिली जी बोले हे भगवान आपने मुझे यह तो बता दिया कि यह संपूर्ण तिलोक किस प्रकार प्रभु श्री हरि विष्णु जी के ही आश्रित हैं और किस प्रकार परमार्थ स्वरूप ज्ञान ही सब में प्रधान है किंतु आप मेरी इच्छा भरत का चरित्र सुनने की है वह मुझे सुनाओ कहा जाता है कि राजा भरत लगातार योग मुक्त होकर प्रभु श्री हरि विष्णु में चित्त लगाए शालिग्राम क्षेत्र में वास करते थे फिर भी पूरे देश के प्रभाव और प्रभु श्री हरि विष्णु जी में जीत लगाने से भी उनकी मुक्ति क्यों नहीं मिली उनसे उन्हें पुनः ब्राह्मण का जन्म लेना पड़ा ब्राह्मण होकर भी उन भरत जी ने फिर जो भी कुछ किया कृपया करके वह सब आप मुझसे कहे श्री पराशर जी बोले हे मैथिली हुए महा भाग पृथ्वी पति भरत जी भगवान में जीत लगाए चिरकाल तक शालिग्राम क्षेत्र में वास करते रहे हे योगेश्वर हे गोविंद हे माधव हे केशव ए कृष्ण हे विष्णु हे वासुदेवाय आपको बारंबार मेरा परिणाम है इस तरह राजा भरत लगातार प्रभु के नामों का उच्चारण किया करते थे हे मैथिली स्वप्न में के अतिरिक्त और कुछ नहीं करते थे भरत जी 1 दिन नदी पर स्नान करने गए इतने में ही उन्हें नदी के तट पर शीघ्र ही बच्चा जाने वाली प्यासी हिरण 1 में से जल पीने वहां आ गई जैसे ही उस प्यासी हिरण ने जल पीकर अपनी प्यास बुझाई उसी क्षण वहां सब को भयभीत कर देने वाले शेर की भयंकर दहाड़ सुनाई पड़ी शेर की दहाड़ से भयभीत होकर वह ईरानी एकदम उछल कर नदी के तट पर चडगई एकदम उछल कर ऊंचे स्थान पर चढ़ने के कारण उस हिरणी का बच्चा गर्व से गिरकर नदी में चला गया नदी की तेज धारा में बहते हुए उसने के बच्चे को भरत जी ने पकड़ लिया है मैथिली बहुत ऊंचे उछलने व गर्भपात के कारण वह हिरनी बछड़ा खाकर गिर पड़ी और मर गई उस हिरणी को मरे हुए देख भरत जी ने उनके बच्चे को अपने आश्रम में ले आए हे मुनि भरत जी उसको पालने लगे वह मेरे साथ भी उनसे शोषित होकर दिन दिन बढ़ने लगा वह अमृतसर आश्रम के आस-पास ही घास चर आता रहता था और कभी-कभी वन जंगल में दूर जाकर शेर के डर से वापस लौट आता वह मिल्क शाखा दी प्रातः काल वही दूरी भी चला जाता था तो वह स्वयं काल तक वापस आश्रम में ही लौट आता और भरत जी के आश्रम में रहता है दिन भारत जी का मान सदैव उसकी मृत सागर लगा रहत अतः वह अन्य विषयों की ओर नहीं जानता था जिस भरत जी ने अपना संपूर्ण राज पाठ एवं अपने पुत्र तथा बंधु बंधुओं को त्याग दिया था वह भरत जी उस वृक्ष के बच्चे से ही ममता करने लगे यदि किसी समय को वह हिरनी का बच्चा वन जंगल में घूम कर वापस आने में जरा भी विलंब कर देता था तो भरत जी मन ही मन सोचने लगते उस बच्चे को किसी भेड़िया या सिंह में तो नहीं मार डाला ना जाने वहां कहां चले गया मेरी प्रसन्नता के लिए उत्पन्न हुआ वह सुंदर वृक्षासना जानन आज भी तक वहां रह गया है काफी देर तक गए हुए उस बच्चे के लिए भरत जी काफी चिंतित हो रहे थे जब हम रिक्शा जंगल से लौट कर आ जाता तो उसके प्रेम से भरत जी का मुख कमल समान खिल जाता इस तरह उसी में अशक्त जीत रहने से भरत जी की समाधि टूट गई मरते समय भी भरत जी उस वृक्षा को आंसू भरे नेत्रों से देखने रहे और अपने प्राणों को त्याग दिया है मैथिली प्राण त्याग के समय इसने वर्ष भरत जी ने उसी में तन्मय रहने से उसके अलावा प्रभु का चिंतन नहीं किया उस समय की दृढ़ भाव के कारण राजा भरत जी जम्मू मार्ग काला जल पर्वत के घनघोर वन में अपने पूर्व जन्म की स्मृति से युक्त एक मृत हुआ अपने पूर्व जन्म का स्मरण करने के कारण वह संसार से उपरोक्त हो गया और अपनी माता को त्याग कर फिर शालिग्राम क्षेत्र में आकर वास करने लगा वहां सूखे घास फूस और पत्ते खाकर उसके प्राण त्याग दिए

Listen, it is said that King Bharat, freed from yoga, used to live in the Shaligram region, constantly focusing his attention on Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, yet why did he not get freedom even after the influence of the whole country and victory in Lord Shri Hari Vishnu? Even after being a Brahmin, that Bharat ji did whatever he did, please tell me all that Mr. Parashar ji said, O Maithili became the great part of the earth, husband Bharat ji conquered God, lived in Shaligram area for ever and ever, Yogeshwar Oh Govinda, Madhav, Keshav, Krishna, Vishnu, Vasudeva, you are my result again and again, thus King Bharata used to chant the Lord's names continuously, O Maithili, he used to do nothing but dream. Bharata went to the river for one day to bathe. In the meantime, he came there to drink water from the thirsty deer 1, who soon went to the bank of the river, as soon as that thirsty deer quenched its thirst by drinking water, at the same moment there was heard the fierce roar of the lion who frightened everyone. Frightened by the roar of the deer, the Irani immediately jumped up on the bank of the river. Because of climbing up to a high place, the fawn proudly fell into the river. Maithili jumped very high and due to abortion, the deer fell down after eating the calf and died. Seeing that deer dead, Bharat ji brought her child to his ashram. Day by day he used to graze grass around the Amritsar Ashram and sometimes went far away in the forest forest and came back due to the fear of lion. He returns back to the ashram and stays in Bharat ji's ashram for days. Bharat ji's respect was always attached to his dead sea, so he did not know about other subjects, on which Bharat ji gave up his entire secret lesson and his son and brothers. Bharat ji started loving the child of that tree. I didn't kill the lion, I don't know where it went, that beautiful tree that was born for my happiness, Janan, has remained there even today. If he had come back, Bharat ji's face would have blossomed like a lotus with his love. In this way, Bharat ji's tomb was broken due to weak victory in him. Even while dying, Bharat ji kept looking at that tree with tearful eyes and gave up his life. At the time of death of Maithili, this year, Bharat ji did not think about God other than being absorbed in it. Due to the memory of his previous birth, he became above the world and after leaving his mother, he came to Shaligram area and started living there, he gave up his life by eating dry grass and leaves
