हे नारद इस प्रकार की भविष्यवाणी कर सती ने उसे स्थान से चला जाना चाहा परंतु उसके माता तथा बहाने में उन्हें रोक लिया उसे समय सती जी योग धारण कर अंतर ध्यान हो गए और गंगा तट पर पहुंचकर स्नान करने के उपरांत नवीन वेस्टन को धारण कर गढ़ मन पर्वत पर जा पहुंची वहां उन्हें सर्वप्रथम शिवजी की पूजा की तदुपरांत श्वसन को ब्रह्मांड पर चढ़कर शरीर को त्याग परम ब्रह्म की ज्योति में लीन हो गई उसे समय तीनों लोक में भारी हाकर मच गया और एक ऐसा शब्द उत्पन्न हुआ जिसके कारण दैत्य ने घर नष्ट हो गए और देवता अत्यंत दुखी हुए सती जी के साथ जो गांड यज्ञ मंडप में पहुंचे थे वह भी अत्यंत दुखी हुए उनमें से कुछ तो आत्महत्या करके मर गए और कुछ विभिन्न प्रकार के उपद्रव करने लगे यह देखकर भृंग ऋषि ने अपनी मंत्र शक्ति द्वारा यज्ञ की रक्षा की उसे समय शिव गानों में भगवान सदा शिव के समीप पहुंचकर सब वृतांत उन्हें का सुनाया और उनसे अपनी रक्षा की प्रार्थना की यह समाचार सुनकर शिवजी ने अत्यंत क्रोधित हो अपनी जाता को उखाड़ कर उसके द्वारा अनेक गानों को उत्पन्न किया गानों की उसे आसन के सी ने दक्ष के यज्ञ मंडप पर धावा बोल दिया और यज्ञ को नष्टभांश कर डाला सभी सभा सदस्यों को पूरा दंड देने के उपरांत जब हुए शिव जी के पास पहुंचे उसे समय शिव का क्रोध तो अवश्य कुछ काम हो गया परंतु सती का उपयोग सहन करने में हुए समर्थ ही रहे इस दुख में व्याकुल होकर हुए अपने घरों को साथ ले गंगा तट पर जा पहुंचे और किस स्थान पर सती ने अपना शरीर त्यागा था उसे स्थान पर पहुंचकर वहां सती के शरीर को पड़ा देखा मूर्छित तथा मोहित हो गए कुछ देर पश्चात जब उन्हें चेतन हुआ तो वह ही सती का शरीर ऐसा दिखाई दिया मानो कोई श्रेष्ठ कमल मिला हुआ हो उसे स्वरूप को देखकर शिवजी फिर मुर्जित हो गए इसी का अवश्य आश्रय लेकर उन्हें यह भी प्रदर्शित कर दिया कि मुंह सब दुखों का मूल है इतनी कथा सुनकर ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा यह नारद तुम इस संबंध में कोई संदेश मत करना शिवजी की लीला अत्यंत विचित्र है अस्तु कुछ देर पश्चात जब शिवजी को चेतना प्राप्त हुई तब हुए अपने को निपटा भाग अनुमान कर अधीर और निर्बल हो गए तथा किसी भी प्रकार संतोष धारण न करके जोर-जोर से रोने लगा चिल्लाने लगे है प्राणप्रिया तुम्हारे तिरछे नेत्रों को देख बिना मुझे बेचैनी हो रही है भला तुम इतनी निष्ठुर कैसे हो गई कि मुझे बोलती तक नहीं हो इस प्रकार कहते हुए शिवजी ने सती के अमृत शरीर को अपने हाथ से उठाकर हृदय में लगा लिया तब उपरांत उसे बार-बार कंठ से लगाकर सुनने लगे इस प्रकार अपने प्रेम को प्रदर्शित करते हुए हुए फिर मुरझित हो जाए कुछ देर बाद जब उन्हें चैतन्यता प्राप्त हुई तब हुए सती के अमृत शरीर को अपने कंधे पर लात कर और दुख उठाते हुए चारों ओर ब्राह्मण करने लगे उन्होंने संपूर्ण देश पर्वत दीप समुद्र वन लोक आलोक शब्द ब्रिंग पर्वत आदि संपूर्ण पृथ्वी का भरण किया था उपरांत हुए भारत खंड में आकर देव नहीं देव नदी के तट पर खड़े हो गए उसे स्थान पर एक बरगद का बहुत बड़ा तथा श्रेष्ठ वृक्ष था वही दौड़ दौड़ कर शिवजी ने रुद्रांत करना आरंभ कर लिया साथ ही सती प्रिया आदि अनेकों नाम ले लेकर हुए सती को पुकारने लगे इस समय उनके नेत्रों से आंसू की धारा वह चली हे नारद जी स्थान पर भगवान सदाशिव के आंसू गिरे वह स्थान नेत्र सरवर नामक तीर्थ के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हुआ उसे तीर्थ में स्नान करने से मनुष्य को अपने संपूर्ण मनोरथ की प्राप्ति होती है वह स्थान तपस्वियों के लिए श्रेष्ठ तपोभूमि है उसे तीर्थ पर स्नान करने से संपूर्ण पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं उसे सरोवर की लंबाई का प्रमाण दो योजन है अस्तु वहां उसे समय ठहरने के पश्चात शिवजी फिर आगे चल दिए मार्ग में चलते हुए जिन-जिन स्थानों पर सती के अमृत शरीर का कोई अंग पृथक होकर गिर पड़ा हुए स्थान सिद्ध पीठ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ उसे सिद्ध पीठ स्थान की पूजा करने से संपूर्ण मनोरथ की प्राप्ति होती है उपदेश स्थान पर भगवती महामाया अपने संपूर्ण कलाओं सहित निवास कर अपने भक्तों को सरवत प्राप्त करती है इस प्रकार लीला करने के उपरांत शिवजी एक दूसरे एक स्थान पर जाकर बैठ गए सती के अमृत शरीर को जो भाग शेष रह गया था वह उन्हें उसका दाह संस्कार किया ताड़ूपरान उसकी हड्डियों को एकत्रित करके कर एक माला बनाई जिसे उन्होंने अपने कंठ में धारण कर लिया फिर चीता की भस्म को अपने शरीर पर माल कर वे इस स्थान पर बैठ गए और प्रणेश्वरी भाव भाव में आदि नाम द्वारा सती के स्मरण करते हुए रो-रो कर व्याकुल होने लगे उन्होंने परम ब्रह्म होते हुए भी ऐसे लीलाओं द्वारा सबको मोहित कर लिया है पुत्र भगवान सदाशिव के इस चरित्र को पढ़ने तथा सुनने से भी मुक्ति की प्राप्ति होती है

Seeing this, Bhring Rishi protected the Yagya with his Mantra Shakti. At that time, Shiva reached near Lord Sada Shiva in the Ganges and narrated the whole incident to him and prayed for his protection. On hearing this news, Shiva became very angry and uprooted his Jata and created many Ganas with it. Using that Ganas as a seat, he attacked the Yagya Mandap of Daksha and destroyed the Yagya. All the members of the assembly got angry. When he reached Shivji after giving him full punishment, Shiv's anger had certainly subsided a bit, but he was still able to bear the pain of Sati. Distressed with this grief, he took his family members along and reached the bank of Ganga and reached the place where Sati had given up her body and saw Sati's body lying there. He became unconscious and fascinated. After some time, when he regained consciousness, the same Sati's body looked as if it had been smeared with a great lotus. Seeing that form, Shivji again became unconscious. Taking shelter of this, he also showed him that the mouth is the root of all sorrows. After listening to this story, Brahmaji said, Narad, you should not send any message in this regard. Shivji's leela is very strange. So, after some time, when Shivji regained consciousness, he became impatient and weak, thinking that his part was over, and not being satisfied in any way, he started crying loudly and shouting, "My beloved, I am feeling restless seeing your slanting eyes. How have you become so cruel that you don't even talk to me like this?" Saying this, Shivji lifted the immortal body of Sati with his hand and put it in his heart. After that, he started listening to it by putting it to his throat again and again. In this way, while showing his love, he started to wilt. After some time, when he regained consciousness, he started kicking the immortal body of Sati on his shoulder and started to dance all around while suffering. He filled the entire earth with the whole country, mountains, deep seas, forests, worlds, light, words, Bring mountain etc. After that, he came to Bharat Khand and stood on the bank of Dev Nahi Dev river. There was a very big and great banyan tree at that place. Shivji started to do Rudraant and also started calling Sati by taking many names like Sati Priya etc. At this time, a stream of tears started flowing from his eyes. O Naradji, Lord Sadashiv's tears fell at that place. That place became famous as a pilgrimage named Netra Sarvar. By bathing in that pilgrimage, a man gets all his wishes. That place is the best Tapobhoomi for ascetics. By bathing in that pilgrimage, all sins are destroyed. Give proof of the length of the lake. So after staying there for some time, Shivji moved ahead. On the way, the places where any part of Sati's Amrit body fell after getting separated became famous as Siddha Peeth. By worshipping that Siddha Peeth place, all the wishes are fulfilled. At the place of Updesh, Bhagwati Mahamaya resides with all her arts and receives her devotees as her savior. After performing this leela, Shivji went and sat at one place after another. The part of Sati's Amrit body that was left, he cremated it. He collected her bones and made a garland which he wore around his neck. Then he smeared the ashes of a leopard on his body and sat at this place and started crying and becoming restless while remembering Sati by the name Aadi in Praneshwari Bhaav. Despite being the supreme Brahma, he has fascinated everyone with such leelas. By reading and listening to this character of son Bhagwan Sadashiv, one also attains salvation.
