इस ब्रिटेन को सुनकर देवर्षि नरत ने ब्रह्मा जी से कहा है पिता आप इस कथा का विस्तार पूर्वक वर्णन कीजिए कि शिवजी वहां किस प्रकार प्रकट हुए और गिरजा में उसके कांठ में वरमाला किस लिए पहना दिया ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा है नारद गिरजा तो जन्म जन्म मंत्र से भगवान शिव की संगिनी थी तब वह किसी अन्य को वरमाला किस प्रकार पहना देती स्वयंवर सभा में हुए इसके समीप पहुंचकर आगे बढ़ जाती थी वही अपने मन में अत्यंत लज्जित होकर रह जाता था इस प्रकार गिरिजा ने सब लोगों को सभा में देखा परंतु वह किसी को भी देखकर प्रसन्न न हुई जब उन्हें वहां परम ब्रह्म शिव जी दिखाई न दिए तो उन्होंने अत्यंत चिंतित होकर यह विचार किया की भला क्या कारण है जो शिवजी अभी तक यहां नहीं पधारे हैं उसे समय उन्होंने मन ही मन शिव जी की बहुत प्रकार से स्तुति करते हुए यह कहा हे प्रभु मैं तो सदैव से आपकी चेरी हूं मेरे चाहे करोड़ों जन्म क्यों ना बीत जाए परंतु मैं आपके अतिरिक्त अन्य किसी के साथ विवाह ना करूंगा हे स्वामी यदि मुझ से कोई अपराध बन पड़ा हो तो आप उसे क्षमा कर दें और मुझे इसी समय अपना दर्शन देकर कृतार्थ करें हे नाथ इस प्रकार मन ही मन प्रार्थना करती हुई जब गिरजा भगवान सदा शिव के प्रेम में मग्न हो गई इस समय शिव जी उसके आंतरिक इसने को पहचान कर वहां प्रगट हो गई भगवान शिव जी के तेज तथा स्वरूप को देखकर सभी सभा सदस्य शिक्षा की तरह गए उन्हें कोई पहचान भी नहीं पाया शिवजी सब मनुष्यों के अहंकार का नाश करने वाले हैं आज तू उसे समय उन्होंने यह लीला भी राखी की हुए उसे सभा मंडप में एक सुंदर बालक के रूप में प्रकट हुए भगवान भूत भवन के उसे रूप को पहचाने ने में असमर्थ होने के कारण सब लोग न्यू उन्हें एक साधारण बालक ही समझा और अपने पास से दूर हटा देन छह जब हुए भागने पर भी नहीं भेज और निर्भय होकर अपने स्थान पर ही खड़े रहे तब कुछ लोगों ने क्रुद्ध होकर यह चाहा कि उन्हें जान से ही मार डाला चाहिए अंजना चाहिए अपनी इच्छा की पूर्ति के लिए पहले तो कुछ देवताओं ने साधारण अस्त्र शस्त्रों द्वारा उसके ऊपर प्रहार किया परंतु जब शिवजी के ऊपर उन शास्त्रों का कोई प्रभाव ना हुआ तो वह अपने तीन लक्षण शास्त्रों द्वारा उन पर प्रहार करने की इच्छा करने लगे यह गति देखकर शिवजी ने उन सब की ओर जीवन ही अपनी आंखें उठा कर देखा तो उसके हाथ तथा शरीर दंडवत हो गए और उसे समय जो जैसा बैठा था पत्थर की मूर्ति के समान इस प्रकार बैठा रहा गया है नारद इस स्थिति को देखकर विष्णु जी ने अपना सुदर्शन चक्र उसके ऊपर छोड़ परंतु वह भी निष्फल हो गया उसे समय सब लोगों को मन में अत्यंत आश्चर्य हुआ कि वह परम शक्तिशाली बालक कौन है परंतु शिव जी की माया में मोहित होने के कारण किसी को उसके वास्तविक भेद का पता ना चल सका शिवजी के इस चरित्र को देखकर गिरिजा मुस्कुराने लगे उसे समय जब मैं शिव जी का ध्यान धरकर विचार किया तो यहां जाना कि यह बालक और कोई नहीं साक्षात् भगवान सदा शिव ही है इस समय हुए बाल रूप भगवान भूत भावन भी मेरे और देख कर हंस दिए तब मैंने उसकी स्तुति करते हुए कहा यह प्रभु हम लोगों का इसमें कोई दोस्त नहीं है आपकी माया के वशीभूत होकर ही हम भगवती जगदंबा को प्राप्त करने की इच्छा से यहां आए थे जब अब आप हमें जो आ गया देंगे वह शिरोधारा होगी इसके उपरांत मैं गिर जाए की भी स्तुति करते हुए कहा है देवी अब आप वह चरित्र कीजिए जिससे हम लोगों की चिंता दूर हो मेरे मुख से निकले हुए इन शब्दों को सुनकर भगवान त्रिशूल पानी अत्यंत पसंद है तब उन्होंने अपने माया को हमारे ऊपर से हटा लिया उसे समय चेतन नेता प्राप्त होने पर हम सब लोगों को उसे बालक के स्थान पर साक्षात सदस्य खड़े हुए दिखाई दिए उनका स्वरूप इतना सुंदर था कि उसे देखकर करोड़ कामदेवला जीत हो जाए हुए मनी एवं स्वर्ण निर्मित आभूषणों को धारण किए हुए थे और ऐसे मनमोहन प्रतीत हो रहे थे जिसका वर्णन करना निस्ताप संभव है
