ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद तब हिमालय चल ने अपनी सभा में गिरजा को बुलाया और जिस प्रकार विष्णु जी ने उपरोहित को बताया था वह सब वृतांत सुनाते हुए या पूछा है पुत्री तुम्हारा पति कौन है तुम उसे हमें बताओ तो हम उसके साथ तुम्हारा विवाह कर देंगे या का कर गिरिजा ने ललित होते हुए उत्तर दिया के पिता यदि आप शपथ पूर्वक मेरी बात मानने के लिए तैयार हो तो मैं पुरोहित जी को अपने पति का नाम बता दूंगा उसी के अनुसार वह तिलक चड्ढा आवेंगे हिमाचल के प्रसन्नता पूर्वक यह बात स्वीकार कर ली तब गिरिजा ने उपरोहित को अलग ले जाकर कहा कि तीनों लोकों में सबसे उत्तम जो कैलाश पर्वत है वह शिवजी निवास करते हैं तुम वही जाकर उन्हें टीका चढ़ाव क्योंकि मैं उन्हीं के साथ अपना विवाह करना चाहती हूं ही नारा दिया सुनकर उपरोहित अपने साथ ही एक नई को लेकर टीका चढ़ाने के लिए चल दिए परंतु उन्होंने नहीं खाया नहीं बताया कि वह किसी व्यक्ति को टीका चढ़ाने के लिए जा रहे हैं वस्तु या वह कैलाश पर्वत पर पहुंचे तो वहां एक शब्द ब्रिज के नीचे शिवजी को दूर से ही बैठे देखकर उन्हें प्रणाम किया उसे समय शिवजी ध्यान मग्न बैठे थे वास्तु वे दोनों भी कुछ दूरी पर चुपचाप बैठे थे लेकिन थोड़ी देर बाद ही नहीं ने क्रोध में भरकर को पुरोहित से यह कहा एक उपरोहित जी तुम मुझे ऐसे निर्जन स्थान में क्यों ले आए हो यहां तो चारों ओर दैत्य की दैत्य दिखाई पड़ते हैं वस्तु यह प्राण वचन संभव है तुम यह से तुरंत भाग लो और क्रिया के लिए कोई दूसरा पति चढ़ाव यह व्यक्ति तो गिरजा का पति होने के समर्थ आरोग्य है नहीं की बात सुनकर उपरोहित में उन्हें डरते हुए कहा नरेश मूर्ख क्यों चुपचाप क्यों नहीं उठा रहा था इस प्रकार पर्व लाभ क्यों कर रहे हैं उपरोहित की इस देवता को देखकर तथा गिरजा के प्रतीत का स्मरण कर शिवजी ने अपने समाधि खोली उसे समय उपरोहित हाथ जोड़कर उसके सामने जहां खड़ा हुआ और बहुत प्रकार से स्तुति तथा प्रश्न सा करने लगा हे नारद उपरोहित में क्रिया के गुण तथा सौंदर्य का वर्णन करते हुए शिवजी से कहा है प्रभु गिरजा आपके साथ विवाह करना चाहती है अतः आप उसे स्वीकार करें तब शिव जी ने उनसे कहा है उपरोहित तुम्हें ऐसी बात कहनी उचित नहीं है क्योंकि हिमाचल की पुत्री के साथ संबंध करने की योग्य हम नहीं हैं हिमाचल पर्वत के राजा है तथा बहुत धनवान है इसके विपरीत हम निर्धन है मित्रता शत्रुता कथा विवाह अपने सामान बालों वाला के साथ करनी चाहिए गिरजा मुझे आप पति बना कर कोई सुख नहीं पाएंगे बल्कि वह एक कहेंगे कि मेरे बाद टूटे हुए समय इस उसे बहुत कष्ट उठाना पड़ेगा वह राज पुत्री है अतः उसका विवाह किसी राजा के साथ होना ही उचित है दूसरी बात या है भी कि मुझे तिलक चढ़ाने पर तुम्हें पुरस्कार निधन भी नहीं मिल सकेगा क्योंकि हम तो दक्षिण में थोड़ी सी भस्म ही तुझे दे सकते हैं है नर्क शिव जी की यह बात सुनकर उपरोहित ने उत्तर दिया है प्रभु यदि आपकी भरम हमें मिल जाए तो इससे चढ़ा कर हमारे भाग्य और क्या होंगे वास्तु आप अब आप कुछ और अधिक न कहकर मुझे तिलक चढ़ाने दीजिए इतना कहकर उपरोहित में शिव जी के तिलक चढ़ा दिया शिवजी को भी इस समय अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई परंतु नायक को यह बात अच्छी नहीं लगी जब उपरोहित ने घर लौटना चाहा उसे समय शिव जी ने उसे थोड़ी सी भस्म देखकर उसे विदा कर दिया इसी प्रकार नई को भी उन्होंने थोड़ी सी भस्म दे दी उपरोहित तो उसे भस्म को पाकर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए परंतु नई को अत्यंत क्रुद्ध आया उसने उपरोहित से कहा है उपरोहित तुमने राजा हिमाचल की पुत्री का तिलक एक अवधूत को चढ़ा दिया इससे चड़के पूरी तरह और क्या हो सकती है भला तुमने किसी लोग में पढ़ कर ऐसा बुरा काम किया यदि तुमने किसी राजा से यह तिलक चढ़ाया होता तो हमारे राह इस प्रकार नहीं करती जैसे कि आप कट रही है शिवजी ने तो केवल एक मुखी भर रख देती है और कुछ से भी कुछ अच्छी बात नहीं करें मेरे घर में तुम भले ही ले जाओ मुझे तो उन्होंने मार्ग का खर्च भी नहीं दिया अब भला मैं किस प्रकार अपने घर का मुहूर्त लूंगा परम पता नहीं राजा हिमाचल इस वृत्तांत को सुना कर क्या दान देगा मैं तो सारा दोस्त तुम्हारे ही सिर पर रख दूंगा यह याद रखना इतना कह कर 9 में क्रोध को भस्म को खोलकर वहीं फेंक दिया हे नारद आपको पुरोहित और नई अपने अपने घर पहुंचे तो उसे भस्म के प्रभाव से पुरोहित के घर में संसार के संपूर्ण रन और सुख सामग्री उत्पन्न हुए जिसे पूर्वी तथा उसकी पत्नी को बहुत आनंद हुआ एक दिन नहीं की स्त्री पुरोहित के घर आई जब उसने यह देखा कि उसके घर में सुख की संपूर्ण सामग्री उपस्थित है तो उसने पुरोहित की पत्नी से उसे ऐश्वर्या का कारण पूछा जब पुरोहित की पत्नी ने उसे यह बताया कि यह सब संपत्ति शिवाजी द्वारा दी गई भस्म के कारण प्राप्त हुई है तो उसने अपने पति के पास पहुंचकर कर यह सब हल्का सुनाया उसे सुनकर नहीं दौड़ा-दौड़ा उपरोहित के पास आया और झटका करके यह कहने लगा कि तुम मुझे इस स्थान का आधा भाग दो उसे समय उपरोहित में उसे यह उत्तर दिया मुझे तुमने शिवाजी द्वारा दी गई भस्म का सीधा धार करके उसे फेंक दिया इसलिए तू की संपत्ति से वंचित रहा आप मुझसे लड़ने के लिए कोई आए या है यदि तू संपत्ति प्राप्त करना चाहता है तो फिर उन्हीं के पास चला जा जिन्होंने पहले तुझे भस्म दी थी उपरोहित की बात सुनकर नहीं फिर कैलाश पर्वत पर गया परंतु इस बार उसे वहां से निराश लौट आना पड़ा

He was sitting quietly but after a while Narada, getting angry, said to the priest, "Uparohit ji, why have you brought me to such a deserted place? Here, demons and devils can be seen everywhere. This is a matter of life and death. You should run away from here immediately and bring another husband for the ritual. This person is capable of being the husband of Girja. Hearing this, Uparohit said to him in fear, "You fool, king, why were you not getting up quietly? Why are you taking advantage of the festival in this way?" Seeing this deity of Uparohit and remembering the idol of Girja, Shivji opened his meditation. At that time, Uparohit stood in front of him with folded hands and started praising and asking questions in many ways. O Narada, Uparohit, while describing the qualities and beauty of the ritual, said to Shivji, "Lord, Girja wants to marry you, so you should accept her." Then Shivji said to him, "Uparohit, it is not right for you to say such a thing because we are not worthy of having a relationship with the daughter of Himachal. Himachal is the king of the mountain and is very rich. On the contrary, we are poor. Friendship is not enmity." Story: You should marry someone with hair like yours. Girja, you will not get any happiness by making me your husband. Rather, he will say that after me she will have to suffer a lot. She is a king's daughter, so it is appropriate that she should be married to a king. Secondly, if you apply tilak to me, you will not get any reward because we can give you only a little ash in the south. Hearing this from Shiv Ji, Uprohit replied, "Prabhu, if I get your illusion, then what will happen to our fortune by applying it. Now, without saying anything more, let me apply tilak." Saying this, Uprohit applied tilak to Shiv Ji. Shiv Ji also felt very happy at this time, but Nayak did not like this. When Uprohit wanted to return home, at that time Shiv Ji, seeing a little ash on him, sent him away. Similarly, he gave a little ash to Nayak also. Uprohit felt very happy to get the ash, but Nayak got very angry. He said to Uprohit, "Uprohit, you applied the tilak of King Himachal's daughter to an ascetic, you are angry with this." What else can happen? You did such a bad deed by reading someone's name. If you had offered this Tilak to a king, then you would not have crossed our path the way you are passing by. Shivaji has only kept one face on his forehead and does not say anything good to anyone. Even if you take me to his house, he did not even give me the travel expenses. Now how will I get the Muhurta of my house? I do not know what donation King Himachal will give by telling this story. I will put all my wealth on your head. Remember this. Saying this, I opened the ashes and threw it there in anger. O Narada, when the priest and the priest reached their respective homes, then due to the effect of the ashes, all the wealth and comforts of the world were produced in the priest's house, which made Purohit and his wife very happy. One day, the wife of the priest came to the priest's house. When she saw that all the comforts were present in his house, she asked the priest's wife the reason for her wealth. When the priest's wife told her that all this wealth was obtained due to the ashes given by Shivaji. So she went to her husband and told him all this but he did not listen to her and ran to Uprohit and started saying in a loud voice that you give me half of this place. At that time Uprohit replied to him that you made a straight edge of the ashes given to me by Shivaji and threw it away, therefore you remained deprived of the wealth. Who else should come to fight with me, if you want to get the wealth then go to those people who had given you the ashes earlier. Not listening to Uprohit, he again went to Mount Kailash but this time he had to return disappointed from there.
