श्री शिव महापुराण कथा तृतीय खंड अध्याय 19

ब्रह्मा जी बोले हैं नारद हिमाचल की बातों को सुनकर सब लोगों को बहुत आश्चर्य हुआ तब उसमें से किसी ने यह हटाया दी की शिवजी के साथ विवाह कभी नहीं करना चाहिए अंत में बहुत कुछ सोच विचार करके उपरांत बुद्धिमान तथा विद्यमान पुरुष में हिमाचल से यह कहा है राजन आप शिवजी को एक पत्र इस आशय का लिखें कि हुए एक अच्छी सी बारात सज कर लेव यदि उन्होंने ऐसा नहीं किया तो वीर्य के साथ उसका विवाह ना हो सकेगा यदि वह वास्तव में तो किसी तथा योगी होंगे तो आपकी बात को स्वीकार करके श्रेष्ठ बारात सज कर लेंगे हे नारद बुद्धिमानों की इस बात को हिमाचल तथा महिलाओं ने स्वीकार कर लिया तथा शिवजी को अच्छी बारात लाने के लिए पत्र लिखा उसमें क्या कहा था कि आपकी बारात में सभी देवता ऋषि मुनि समकादिक शेषनाग ब्रह्मा जी तथा विष्णु जी को भी आना चाहिए यदि यह लोग नहीं आए तो गिरजा के साथ विवाह ना हो सकेगा इस पत्र के 7 साल नाग में सामग्री देकर हिमालय ने पुरोहित को पुणे शिवाजी के पास भेज जब पुरोहित पुणे कैलाश पर्वत पर पहुंचा तो उसने देखा कि शिव जी ने उसकी मानव अभिलाष जानकर पहले से ही वहां देवताओं की सभा जमा कर सखी को सभा के समान अन्य कोई सभा संसार में नहीं हो सकती थी जिस समय पुरोहित में उसे सभा को दिखा तो उसके आनंद का परिवार ना रहा वस्तु आप उसने प्रसन्न होकर लग्न चढ़ाई उसे लग्न की सामग्री देखकर सभी सभा सदस्य अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए सदुपरांत पुरोहित शिवजी से आजा तथा अपना निक लेकर हिमाचल के समीप लौट आया और उन्हें सब हल्का सुनाया पुरोहित ने नई की जिंदा करते हुए कहा है राजन मैं आपको शपथ खाकर कहता हूं कि गिरजा का पति अत्यंत सुंदर तथा तेजस्वी है और तीनों लोक में उसके समान अन्य कोई नहीं है पुरोहित के मुख से इस शब्द को सुनकर हिमाचल तथा मैं अपनी भाई बांधो सहित अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए पूवरासी जनों में या जब यह समाचार सुना तो उन्हें भी हार्दिक आनंद हुआ

Finally after thinking a lot the wise and present man said this to Himachal, O King you should write a letter to Shiva Ji to the effect that he should arrange a good wedding procession, if he does not do so then his marriage with Virya will not be possible, if he is really some other Yogi, then he will accept your words and arrange a great wedding procession, O Narad Himachal and the women accepted this word of the wise men and wrote a letter to Shiva Ji to bring a good wedding procession, what was said in it was that in your wedding procession all the gods, sages, saints, Samakadik, Sheshnag, Brahma Ji and Vishnu Ji should also come, if these people do not come then marriage with Girja will not be possible, after giving 7 years of material to the snake Himalaya sent the priest to Shiva Ji in Pune, when the priest reached Pune Kailash mountain, he saw that Shiva Ji, knowing his human desire had already gathered the assembly of gods there and had also arranged a meeting of Sakhi There could not be any other gathering like it in the world. When the priest showed the gathering, his joy knew no bounds. He happily offered the wedding procession. Seeing the wedding materials, all the members of the gathering were very happy. After that, the priest asked Lord Shiva and took his wedding procession and returned near Himachal and told him the whole story. While telling the story, the priest said, "King, I swear to you that the husband of Girish is very handsome and illustrious and there is no one like him in the three worlds." Hearing these words from the priest's mouth, Himachal and I along with my brothers and sisters became very happy. When the people of the eastern region heard this news, they too felt very happy.
