ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा है नाराज जिस समय गिर जाने कामदेव को जलते हुए देखा उसे समय वह भयभीत होकर वहां से भाग कर अपने घर जा पहुंची इस दशा को देखकर माता पिता सीख रही गिरजा के सामने जा पहुंचे उसे समय हिमाचल के संपूर्ण नगर में खलबली मच गई जब गिरजा को कुछ चैतन्यता प्राप्त हुई तब उनकी माता ने इस प्रकार पूछा यह पुत्री तुझे इस प्रकार किसने भयभीत किया है जो तू लंबी-लंबे सांसें ले रही है तब गिरिजा ने जो कुछ दृश्य देखा था वह सब विस्तार पूर्वक सुनाया उसे सुनकर माता-पिता ने गिरजा को बहुत शांत होना दिया हे नारद को समय बाद तुम गिरजा के सामने पहुंचे तब गिरिजा ने अत्यंतलाजीत होकर तुमसे यह कहा कि आप मुझे ऐसा उपाय बताएं जिससे मुझे शिवजी की प्राप्ति हो यह सुनकर तुमने उत्तर दिया है गिरजे शिवजी केवल तपस्या के वशीभूत रहते हैं यदि तुम उन्हें अपने प्रति रूप में प्राप्त करना चाहती हो तो वन में जाकर कठिन तपस्या करो शिवजी तपस्या के वशीभूत होकर सब लोगों का पालन करते हैं और उसी के बल पर सबका संघार भी करते हैं तपस्या के बल पर ही शेषनाग पृथ्वी को अपने मस्ताक्स पर धारण किए हुए और तपस्या के द्वारा ही देवता संपूर्ण वस्तुओं को प्राप्त करते हैं या सुनकर गिरिजा ने उत्तर दिया यह मुनिराज आपका कथन सत्य है परंतु गुरु के बिना किसी को सच्चे ज्ञान की प्राप्ति नहीं होती है आप मुझे अपनी शिष्या बनाकर तपस्या की विधि बताएं ब्रह्मा विष्णु तथा शिव जी गुरु के बिना शक्तिहीन हो जाते हैं आप मेरे गुरु बनकर स्वीकार करें हे नारद यह सुनकर तुमने शिवजी का ध्यान किया और गिरजा को अपनी शिष्या बनाकर पंचाक्षर मंत्र का उपदेश दिया था दो प्रति वहां से लौटकर मेरे पास आए और गिरजा तुम्हारे उपदेश को पाकर अपने मन में तपस्या करने की डेड इच्छा को ले सखियों सहित अपने पिता हिमाचल के समय जा पहुंचे उसे समय साथियों ने पर्वत राज हिमाचल को संबोधित करते हुए यह कहा है राजन गिरजा अपने मन की अभिलाषा को कहते हुए लज्जित है आज तो उनकी ओर से हम आपसे यह प्रार्थना करती है कि आप गिरजा को तपस्या करने के नियमित वन में जाने की आज्ञा दें जिससे वह शिव जी को प्राप्त करने के लिए तब कर सके सखियों की यह बात सुनकर हिमाचल अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने इस प्रार्थना को स्वीकार करते हुए गिरिजा को तपस्या के निर्माता वन में जाने की आज्ञा दे दी तब दो प्राण गिरजा अपने साथियों को साथ लेकर अपनी माता के पास पहुंची और उसने भी यही प्रार्थना की मां महीना ने जब इस समाचार को सुना तो उन्हें अत्यंत चिंता हुआ उन्होंने अत्यंत उदास होकर गिरजा से यह कहा यह पुत्री तुम घर में ही रहकर तपस्या करो माता-पिता के घर को किसी तीर्थ अथवा देवालय से काम नहीं समझना चाहिए तुझे इस प्रकार कष्ट सहन करना उचित नहीं है तुम यही तपस्या करो

Hearing this, Girija replied that Muniraj, your statement is true but without a Guru, no one attains true knowledge. Make me your disciple and tell me the method of penance. Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv Ji become powerless without a Guru. Accept me as your Guru. O Narada, hearing this, you meditated on Shiv Ji and made Girja your disciple and preached the Panchakshar Mantra. Two disciples returned from there and came to me. After getting your preaching, Girja, with a strong desire to do penance in her heart, reached her father Himachal along with her friends. At that time, the companions addressed the mountain king Himachal and said that Rajan Girja is ashamed to tell the desire of her heart. Today, on her behalf, we request you that you give permission to Girja to go to the forest regularly to do penance, so that she can attain Shiv Ji. Hearing this from the friends, Himachal became very happy and accepting this prayer, he gave permission to Girija to go to the forest for penance. Then Girja took her friends along with her to her mother. When mother Mahina heard this news, she became very worried. She said to Girja in a very sad tone, "Daughter, you do penance by staying at home only. The home of the parents should not be considered any less than a pilgrimage or a temple. It is not right for you to bear this kind of pain. You do penance only here."
