ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद अगस्तती जी से उपदेश प्राप्त करने के उपरांत रामचंद्र जी रामगिरी पर्वत पर आकर गोमती नदी के तट पर बैठे फिर हुए शिवलिंग की स्थापना कर भस्म रुद्राक्ष को धारण शिव जी का ध्यान करने लगे उन्होंने भगवान सदाशिव की मूर्ति को अपने हृदय कमल में स्थापित किया रामचंद्र जी ने शिव जी के जी स्वरूप का ध्यान किया था उसका वर्णन इस प्रकार है जिसकी क्रांति करोड़ सूर्य के समान सुंदर जिसमें करोड़ों चंद्रमाओं के समान शीतलता जिसके पांच मुख तथा तीन नेत्र जिसके चार भुजाएं तथा इसके मस्ताक्स पर चंद्रमा विराजमान है वह भाग नंबर उठे तथा सांपों पर जनेऊ पहने जिसके कंठ में हलाहल की सहायता जिसके दोनों चरण कमल के समान कमल तथा सुंदर है जो आपने गौर शरीर पर भस्म रामायण तथा अत्यंत दयालु अनाड़ी अप्रिय अविनाशी अद्वितीय विद्या हर्ष सत्य तथा धर्म कैसे साक्षात स्वरूप है हुए शिव जी अपने भक्तों पर अत्यंत दया करेंगे हे नारद शिव जी के ऐसे वचन का ध्यान धरकर रामचंद्र जी शिव सहस्त्रनाम का जाप करने लगे उन्होंने वन में पुष्प तथा कम मूल खाकर 4 मार्च व्यतीत कर दिए उसे समय शिव जी ने रामचंद्र जी की परीक्षा लेनी चाहिए तथा जिस प्रकार समुद्र प्रलय का लाने पर अपनी मर्यादा को त्याग देता और उसे समय जैसा भयानक शब्द होता है उसके सामान एक घर शब्द उसे स्थान पर हुआ जहां रामचंद्र जी बैठे हुए शिवजी का ध्यान कर रहे थे उसे शब्द को सुनकर हम चंद्र जी ने चारों ओर देखा परंतु कोई भी दिखाई ना दिया ठीक उसे समय चारों ओर वन में हगने की ज्वाला फैल गई रामचंद्र जी ने उसे दृश्य को देखकर अपने नेत्र बांधकर यह अनुमान किया कि संभवत यह किसी देते की माया है तदुपरांत हुए अपने हाथों में धनुष बाण लेकर अपनी बानो द्वारा उसे ज्वाला को बुझाने का प्रयत्न करने लगे उसके पास जितने भी अस्त्र-शस्त्र थे हुए सब उसे आदमी की भेंट हो गए परंतु अपना कोई भी प्रभाव नहीं दिखाई सके इस समय रामचंद्र जी का धनुष भी उसके हाथ से छूटकर पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ा और देखते-देखते चलकर भस्म हो गया यह दृश्य देखकर रामचंद्र जी मलित हो पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े हे नारद चैतन्य प्राप्त होने पर रामचंद्र जी ने जब शिवजी का ध्यान किया तो उसके नेत्र खुल गए और वह अग्नि भी अदृश्य हो गई उसे समय उन्होंने यह देखा कि अपने मुख लक्षणों से युक्त भगवान सदाशिव परम तेजस्वी रूप में नदी पर सवार हो इसके सामने खड़े हुए उसे स्वरूप को देखकर रामचंद्र जी को अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई तब प्रांत उन्होंने विष्णु जी को लक्ष्मी सहित और रुद्र आदि का पाठ करते हुए गरुड़ पर सवार हो वहां आते हुए देखा फिर उन्होंने ब्राह्मणी सहित मुझे भी रुद्रसूत का पाठ करते हुए आंसर अरुण हो वहां आते देखा तो प्रांत उन्होंने इस ज्वाला से प्रकट होकर संपूर्ण मुनियों को शिवजी की स्तुति करते हुए देखा उसके बाद उन्होंने यह देखा की संपूर्ण अधिक बल भी अपने मुख लक्षण तथा पत्तियों सहित शिव स्त्रोत का पाठ करते हुए वहां चले आ रहे हैं फिर उन्होंने गंगा आदि प्रसिद्ध नदियों सहित वेद मंत्र का पाठ करते हुए समुद्र को भी वहां आते देखा इस प्रकार संपूर्ण देवताओं तथा शेष आदि नाम को अपनी स्त्रियों सहित शिवजी की स्तुति का गायन करते हुए वहां आते हुए देखा हे नारद नंदगढ़ तथा गणेश जी भी अपने वाहनों पर सवार होकर वहां जा पहुंचे उसे देव सभा को देखकर रामचंद्र जी को आनंद प्राप्त हुआ उसका वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता रामचंद्र जी ने शिव जी के ऐसे चरित्र को देखकर संपूर्ण सभा सहित स्तुति की

Brahma Ji said, O Narada, after receiving teachings from Agastya Ji, Ramchandra Ji came to Ramgiri mountain and sat on the banks of river Gomti. Then, he established Shivling, wore ashes and Rudraksha and started meditating on Lord Shiva. He established the idol of Lord Sadashiv in his heart. Ramchandra Ji meditated on the form of Lord Shiva and its description is as follows - one whose revolution is beautiful like crores of Suns, who has coolness like crores of Moons, who has five faces and three eyes, who has four arms and Moon is seated on his forehead, he should rise and wear sacred thread on snakes, who has Halahal in his throat, whose both feet are like lotus and beautiful, who has ashes of Ramayana on his fair body and is very kind, innocent, unpleasant, indestructible, unique, knowledge, joy, truth and religion, who is the embodiment of truth and religion, Lord Shiva will show great mercy on his devotees, O Narada, meditating on such words of Lord Shiva, Ramchandra Ji started chanting Shiv Sahasranaam. He spent 4 March in the forest eating flowers and roots. At that time, Lord Shiva should test Ramchandra Ji and the time when In this way, when the ocean causes a deluge, it abandons its dignity and there is a terrible sound like time. A sound similar to that was heard at the place where Ramachandra was sitting meditating on Lord Shiva. On hearing that sound, Ramachandra looked around but could not see anyone. At that very moment, the flames of burning spread all around in the forest. Ramachandra, on seeing that scene, closed his eyes and assumed that it was probably the illusion of some demon. Thereafter, taking bow and arrow in his hands, he tried to extinguish the flames with his arrows. All the weapons that he had fell to the man, but he could not show any effect. At that time, even the bow of Ramachandra fell from his hand and fell on the earth and within no time, it turned into ashes. On seeing this scene, Ramachandra fell on the earth, oh Narada. On gaining consciousness, when Ramachandra meditated on Lord Shiva, his eyes opened and that fire also became invisible. At that time, he saw that Lord Sadashiv, with his facial features, in a very radiant form, was coming out of the river. Standing in front of it, Ramchandra ji was very pleased to see its form. Then he saw Vishnu ji coming there riding on Garuda along with Lakshmi and reciting Rudra etc. Then he saw me also coming there along with the Brahmini, reciting Rudrasut, and Arun, then he saw all the sages appearing from this flame praising Lord Shiva. After that he saw that all Adhik Bal also coming there reciting Shiv Stotra with their facial features and leaves. Then he saw the ocean also coming there reciting Veda mantra along with famous rivers like Ganga etc. In this way, he saw all the gods and Shesh etc. coming there along with their wives singing praises of Lord Shiva. Narada, Nandgarh and Ganesh ji also reached there riding on their vehicles. Seeing the assembly of gods, Ramchandra ji felt joy that cannot be described. Seeing such a character of Lord Shiva, Ramchandra ji praised him along with the entire assembly.
