ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे पुत्र विश्वेश्वर नाथ जी एवं काशी जी से बढ़कर अधिक श्रेष्ठ अन्य कुछ नहीं है काशी में मुक्ति दासी के समान रहकर शिव भक्तों की सेवा किया करती है उसे काशी के पांच कोस के भीतर में ऐसा कौन सा स्थान नहीं है जहां करने से मुक्ति प्राप्त न हो शिवजी काशी को एक पल के लिए भी नहीं त्यागते वह करोड़ों ब्रह्म हत्य एवं शास्त्रों पापों को नष्ट करने वाली है विष्णु जी भी वहां अपनी मृत्यु चाहते हैं हे नारद मेरी भिगो के बीच में भगवान सदा शिव ने कृपा करके अवतार लिया था और कैलाश में जाकर रहने लगे थे फिर उन्होंने दक्ष प्रजापति की पुत्री के साथ अपना विवाह किया हुए ही सती दूसरे जन्म में हिमालय की पुत्री के रूप में प्रकट हुई और शिवजी के साथ विवाह ही गई शिव गिरिजा ने अनेक प्रकार की लीलाएं की फिर शिवजी अपने गानों सहित काशी जी में पधारे उसे समय विष्णु आदि सब देवता भी उनके साथ काशी जी में पहुंचे कैलाशपति शिवजी ने काशिपति विश्वनाथ की पूजा की इस प्रकार विष्णु आदि सब देवताओं ने भी उनका पूजन किया तदुपरांत विश्वनाथ जी ने साक्षात प्रकट होकर कैलाशपति शिवाजी से भेंट करने के उपरांत यह कहा है कैलाश स्वर आप में और मुझ में कोई भेद नहीं है यह सुनकर कैलाशपति शिवजी बोले हे विश्वेश्वर आप यही काशी में रहकर अपनी भक्तों को मुक्ति प्रदान किया करें यह मेरी कामना है तब विश्वनाथ जी ने यह कहा आप भी गिरजा एवं घरे सहित कृपा करके यही स्थित रहे जिस प्रकार खांसी आपको अत्यंत प्रिय है उसे प्रकार मैं भी इसे बहुत स्नेह करता हूं हे नारद इतना कह कर भी सोने की अंतर ध्यान हो गए तथा पूर्ण से वही स्थिति हुए मि विष्णु जी तथा सब अन्य देवता ऋषि मुनि आदि भी वहां रहकर दोनों मूर्तियों का पूजा एवं ध्यान किया करते हैं विश्वनाथ जी के समान दूसरा लिंग पृथ्वी पर अन्य कोई नहीं है जो अन्य लिंग है उन्हें विश्वनाथ जी लिंग की संतान एवं परिवार के समान समझना चाहिए विश्वनाथ की संपूर्ण सृष्टि के समीप है हर ईश्वर उसके मंत्री हैं ब्रह्मेश्वर वेद पाठ करने वाले हैं वीरेश्वर भंडारी है भैरव कोतवाल है तारकेश्वर धाम अक्षय है अधिकारी है इस काशी में भगवती अन्नपूर्णा देवी भी विराजमान है जो काशी निवासियों का ब्राह्मण पोषण करती है हे नारद अब तुम काशी के प्रसिद्ध लिंगो का वर्णन सुनो एक विष्णु दूसरा केशव मुख तीसरा लोक चतुर्वेदी हरि क्रीटेश्वर वृद्धेश्वर कमलेश्वर कालेश्वर त्रांबरेश्वर के धारेश्वर पशुपति कामेश्वर सुक्तेश्वर चंदेश्वर ग्रिनेश्वर तथा नंदीश्वर प्रतिकेश्वर भर मूर्ति पर ब्रिटेश्वर रामेश्वरम उत्तर प्रदेश स्वर लकेश्वर वर्णेश्वर शनिश्वर सोमेश्वर जनेश्वर रामेश्वर संगेश्वर हरिश्वर हरिकेश्वर शैली पार्वती ईश्वर कोडिंगेश्वर यागेश्वर सुरेश्वर शुक्रेश्वर डाकेश्वर रामेश्वर कृपाणेश्वर गुप्तेश्वर मध्यकेश्वर भुवनेश्वर बुद्धेश्वर शुक्रेश्वर टिकेश्वर धमकेश्वर ऋषिकेश्वर ध्रुवेश्वर हाथ के स्वर कपड़ेश्वर नीलेश्वर सारीजवर लटेश्वर त्रिपुरेश्वरी हरिवेश्वर वाराणसी तथा रामेश्वर 59 लिंग अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध है हे नारद जो मनुष्य भगवान विश्वनाथ का नाम लेकर 20 देश यात्रा करता है उसे अत्यंत आनंद मिलता है भगवान विश्वनाथ की सेवा द्वारा ही हरिकेश दंड पीठ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध होकर समस्त शिवगणों के अधिपति हुए ब्रह्म दत्त का पुत्र गुण निधि भी भगवान विश्वनाथ की सेवा द्वारा कुबेर पद को प्राप्त हुआ जो मनुष्य का आशीर्वाद त्याग दे उसकी गणना पशुओं में करनी उचित है खांसी का चांडाल भी अन्य राजा से श्रेष्ठ है जिस गीत को ऋषि मुनि आदि बड़ी तपस्या द्वारा प्राप्त करते हैं वही गति काशी में निवास करने पर भगवान सदा शिव की कृपा से न्यास ही प्राप्त हो जाती है अगस्त्य मुनि उन विश्वनाथ जी के पूर्ण उपदास तथा विश्व मंत्र ने भी उनकी सेवा द्वारा ब्रह्मा निष्पद को प्राप्त किया है उन्हें की पूजा करके वशिष्ठ मुनि तीनों लोक में मूर्छित हुए हैं है पुत्र भगवान विश्वनाथ का यह आख्यान भी अत्यंत पवित्र है जो व्यक्ति इसे पढ़ना अथवा सुनता है उसे दोनों लोक में आनंद की प्राप्ति होती है

Vishnu Ji also wants to die there. O Narada, in the middle of my journey, Lord Sada Shiva had taken incarnation by his grace and started living in Kailash. Then he married the daughter of Daksha Prajapati. Sati appeared as the daughter of Himalaya in her second birth and got married to Shiva Ji. Shiva Girija performed many types of divine acts. Then Shiva Ji came to Kashi with his songs. At that time all the gods like Vishnu etc. also reached Kashi with him. Kailashpati Shiva Ji worshipped Kashipati Vishwanath. In this way all the gods like Vishnu also worshipped him. Thereafter Vishwanath Ji appeared in person and met Kailashpati Shivaji. After doing this he said Kailash Swar, there is no difference between you and me. Hearing this Kailashpati Shivji said, O Vishweshwar, you should stay in Kashi and give salvation to your devotees, this is my wish. Then Vishwanath ji said, you should also kindly stay here with the church and house. Just as you love Kashi very much, I also love it very much. O Narada, after saying this he went into deep meditation and completely got into the same state. Lord Vishnu and all other gods, sages, saints etc. also stay there and worship and meditate on both the idols. There is no other Linga on earth like Vishwanath ji. The other Lingas should be considered as the children and family of Vishwanath ji Linga. Vishwanath is close to the entire creation. Every God is his minister. Brahmeshwar is the one who recites Vedas. Veereshwar is the treasurer. Bhairav is the police officer. Tarkeshwar Dham is Akshaya, he is the officer. Bhagwati Annapurna Devi is also present in this Kashi, who nourishes the Brahmins of Kashi residents. O Narada, now listen to the description of the famous Lingas of Kashi.
