ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद जब घूम के पुत्र को जन्म दिया तो सब लोग उसकी प्रशंसा करने लगे उसके विपरीत ब्राह्मण की पहली पत्नी सोतेहा की सर्वत्र निंदा होने लगी तब वह अपने साउथ के पुत्र को स्नेह करने की स्थान पर घृणा करने लगी और उसे देख-देख कर जलने लगी वह उसे खूब करने तथा अनेक प्रकार के कष्ट पहुंचने लगी यह देवी ब्राह्मण अपनी दोनों पत्नियों को एक दृष्टि से देखा था और घूम भी यह कहती थी कि यह पुत्र मेरा नहीं अभी तो तुम्हारा ही है परंतु भी सुखदेशा का दुख दूर नहीं होता था हे नारद सउदिया द महायानक कहा गया है इसलिए बुद्धिमान पुरुष को चाहिए कि दूसरा विवाह कभी ना करें विशेष कर उसे स्थिति में जब उसकी पहली पत्नी जीवित हो तथा उसके संतान भी हूं अथवा जब वह लड़का बड़ा हो गया और उसका विवाह भी हो गया तब सुदेश की सा और अधिक बढ़ गई यह डीपी उसे लड़के की पत्नी सुदेश की अधिक सेव किय करती थी तो भी वह उसके प्रति निरंतर कठोर वचनों का ही प्रयोग किया करती थी अंत में एक दिन सुदेश आने यह विचार किया कि जब तक मैं इस लड़के को मार नहीं डालूंगी तब तक मेरा दुख दूर नहीं होगा हे नारद संसार में ऐसा कोई कम नहीं है जिस स्त्री ना कर सके वस्तु एक दिन अवसर पाकर सुदेश आने अपनी साउथ की लड़की को मार डाला तथा उसका सिर काट करो है डाल दिया जहां घुमा शिवजी के प्रति शिवलिंग होकर पूजन के उपरांत डाल दिया करती थी प्रातः काल उन्होंने जब लोगों में उसे लड़के के अंगों को चित्र भीतर देखा तो संपूर्ण नगर में इस बात की चर्चा होने लगी थी सुदर्शन ने अपने सौतेले लड़के को मार डाला है यह सब होते हुए भी वह ब्राह्मण तथा उमा शिवजी की पूजन यह सब होते हुए भी वह ब्राह्मण तथा उमा शिवजी की पूजन में सम्मिलित रहे हुए अपने स्थान में तनिक भी नहीं हटे जब पूजन समाप्त हो चुका तथा उन्होंने अपने लड़की की ऐसी अवस्था देखी तब भी केवल यही कहा कि शिवजी ही हमारे रक्षक हैं वास्तु उनकी जो इच्छा होती है वही कार्य हुआ करती है इस संबंध में हम लोगों को चिंता करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है वस्तु घूमने प्रतिदिन के नियमानुसार पार्टी को उसे स्थान पर डाल दिया जहां उसके लड़के का मस्तक काट हुआ पड़ा था इस प्रकार वह शिवजी की भक्ति में पूर्णता है दिन रही तथा किसी भी प्रकार अपने मन मे खेद नहीं किया उसकी ऐसी दृढ़ता को देखकर शिवजी तुरंत प्रकट हो गए और घूमने इस प्रकार बोले हैं घूम हम तुम्हें अत्यंत प्रसन्न है तुम इच्छा अनुसार वर मांग लो तुम्हारे लड़के को जिसने वध किया है उसे हम अपने त्रिशूल से मार डालेंगे यह घूमने उन्हें प्रणाम करते हुए उत्तर दिया है प्रभु जिसने यह पाप किया है वह स्वयं अपने पाप का फल पाएगा आप किसी का वध ना करें दूसरी मेरी यही इच्छा है कि आप गिरजा सहित उसकी स्थान पर स्थित होता था अपने भक्तों को संपूर्ण मनोरथ प्रदान किया करें घुमा की यह प्रार्थना सुनकर शिवजी प्रसन्न होकर बोले ही घूम हम तुम्हारी प्रार्थना को स्वीकार करते हैं तुम्हारे द्वारा स्थापित किया शिवलिंग भूरेश्वर के नाम से प्रसिद्ध होगा और तालाब का नाम शिवालय होगा तुम्हारे गर्व से 100 पुत्र जन्म लेंगे और तुम जीवन भर अत्यंत सुख हो गया अंत में मुक्तिपथ को प्राप्त करोगे तब ब्राह्मण ने उनकी दोनों स्त्रियों सहित उसे लिंग की परिक्रमा की फिर वह अपने पहले स्त्री से शत्रुता त्याग कर आनंदपूर्वक शिव भक्ति में चलना रहने लगा है नाराज भूरेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग इस चरित्र को जो सुनता सुनता अथवा पड़ता है वह संसार में अनेक प्रकार के सुख भोगकर अंत में शिवपाठ को प्राप्त करता है उसके संपूर्ण पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं तथा किसी भी प्रकार का रोग नहीं रहता मैं तुम्हें द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंग का वृतांत विस्तार पूर्वक सोना यह 12 ज्योतिर्लिंग मुक्ति को प्रदान करने वाले हैं संसार में शिवलिंग की महिमा प्रधान है आईटीआई शिव पुराण ब्रह्मास्त्र शास्त्र अष्टम अध्याय समाप्त

Brahma Ji said, O Narada, when Ghum gave birth to a son, everyone started praising her. On the contrary, Soteha, the first wife of the Brahmin, started getting criticized everywhere. Then instead of loving her son, she started hating him and became jealous of him. She started torturing him and causing him many kinds of troubles. This goddess Brahmin looked at both her wives with one gaze and Ghum also used to say that this son is not mine, he is yours. But even then, Soteha's sorrow did not end. O Narada, Soteha has been called the Mahayanak. Therefore, a wise man should never marry a second time, especially in a situation when his first wife is alive and he also has children. Or when the boy grew up and got married, Soteha's sorrow increased even more. Though the wife of the boy used to serve Soteha more, she used to use harsh words towards him. Finally, one day Soteha thought that until I do not kill this boy, my sorrow will not end. O Narada, there is no dearth in the world in which a woman does not love her. One day, getting an opportunity, Sudesh killed his step daughter and put her severed head on the Shivalinga where Ghum used to put it after worshipping Shiva. In the morning, when people saw the body parts of the boy inside the picture, the whole city started discussing this matter. Sudarshan has killed his step son. Despite all this, that Brahmin and Uma did not move from their place even a bit while worshipping Shiva. When the worship was over and they saw their daughter in such a state, even then they only said that Shiva is our protector. Whatever he wishes, happens. We need not worry in this regard. As per the daily routine, Ghum put the head on the place where his son's severed head was lying. In this way, he remained completely devoted to Shiva and did not regret in his heart in any way. Seeing such determination of his, Shiva appeared immediately and said to Ghum, "Ghum, we are very pleased with you. Ask for a boon as per your wish. We will kill the one who has killed Bhureshvar with our trident. Ghumna, while saluting him, replied, Lord, the one who has committed this sin will himself bear the consequences of his sin. You should not kill anyone. Secondly, my only wish is that you grant all the wishes of your devotees. Hearing this prayer of Ghumna, Shivji became pleased and said, Ghumna, we accept your prayer. The Shivling established by you will be famous by the name of Bhureshvar and the pond will be named Shivalaya. 100 sons will be born to you and you will be very happy throughout your life. Finally, you will attain salvation. Then the Brahmin, along with his two wives, did parikrama of the linga. Then, giving up enmity with his first wife, he started walking happily in the devotion of Shiv. Whoever listens or reads this story of Bhureshvar Jyotirlinga, after enjoying many kinds of happiness in the world, finally attains Shivpath. All his sins are destroyed and he does not remain sick. I will narrate to you in detail the story of twelve Jyotirlingas. These 12 Jyotirlingas are the best for salvation. The glory of Shivlinga is paramount in the world.
