श्री शिव महापुराण कथा दसवां खंड अध्याय 13

ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद पुरातन काल में एक बार देवताओं तथा दैत्य में बड़ा युद्ध हुआ देवताओं के अधिपति इंद्र थे और असुर का का अधिपति वृत्त सुरता था उसे युद्ध में वृत्त और ने अपना शरीर इतना बड़ा किया कि किसी भी देवता में उसका सामना करने की समर्थ नहीं रही तब सब देवता युद्ध स्थल को छोड़कर भाग खड़े हुए और बृहस्पति की शरण में जाकर इस प्रकार कहने लगे हे प्रभु वृत्त और ने हमें युद्ध क्षेत्र में पराजित कर भगा दिया इसमें इतनी शक्ति नहीं है कि जो किसी भी प्रकार उसका सामना कर सके आज तो आप कृपा करके कोई उपाय बताएं जिससे मन हमें विजय प्राप्त हो हे नारद देवताओं की प्रार्थना सुनकर बृहस्पति ने भगवान सदाशिव का ध्यान धरते हुए उत्तर दिया है देवताओं यह वृत्त सूरज अपने पूर्व जन्म में चितरत्न नामक एक राजा था इसने विधि पूर्वक त्रयोदशी का व्रत धारण किया था तब शिवजी की सेवा करके उसकी कृपा प्राप्त की थी परंतु शिवरानी द्वारा श्राप दिए जाने के कारण यह इस जन्म में वृत्त सूर्य बनकर प्रकट हुआ वृत्त और बनाकर प्रकट हुआ आज तो यदि तुम वृत्त और पर विजय प्राप्त करना चाहते हो तो प्रदोष व्रत धारण कर भगवान सदाशिव का पूजन करो प्रदोष व्रत धारण करने वाला मनुष्य अपने संपूर्ण मनोरथ को प्राप्त करता है हम तुम्हें प्रदोष के व्रत की विधि बदलते हैं किस ध्यान पूर्वक श्रवण करो ही देवताओं प्रदोष का प्रारंभ कार्तिक मास से करना चाहिए इस प्रकार प्रत्येक मास की त्रयोदशी तिथि को व्रत धारण करके एवं वर्ष पर यंत्र शिवजी का पूजन करना चाहिए यदि कभी शुक्ल पक्ष में त्रयोदशी के दिन शनिवार पड़े तो वह हाथी उत्तम फल देने वाला होता है जब संध्याकाल से पूर्व प्रदोष काल आवे तब किसी प्रसिद्ध शिवलिंग का पूजन करें तत्व प्रात स्नान कर मोहन धारण करें तथा गांव गीत के बहुत से दीपक जलाएं इन दीपकों की संख्या 100 से लेकर सहस्त्र तक उचित है यदि इतनी दीपक जलाने की सामर्थ ना हो तो 10 20 दीपक अवश्य जलाने चाहिए इसके उपरांत सब प्रकार की सामग्री श्रेष्ठ ने विद्या प्रेम पूर्वक शिवजी को भेंट करें तथा सत्रुटी का पाठ श्रवण करें अंत में 200 बार शिवलिंग की परिक्रमा करें के ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कारण फिर स्वयं भी भोजन करें ही देवताओं यदि इस उपाय से तुम सब लोग बात करोगे तो भगवान सदाशिव तुम पर अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर तुम्हें वृत्त और पर विजय प्राप्त करने की शक्ति प्रदान करेंगे बृहस्पति के मुख से यह वचन सुनकर सभी देवता अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए तत्व प्रांत उन्होंने अपने गुरु के आजा के अनुसार प्रदोष व्रत धारण किया फिर शिवजी की कृपा का आश्रय लेकर जब उन्होंने वृत्त और के साथ युद्ध किया और इंद्र की पर रचना द्वारा वृत्त शुरू मृत्यु को प्राप्त हुआ तब अपने शत्रु पर विजय प्रकार सभी देवता अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए इतनी कथा सुना कर ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद अब मैं तुम्हें त्रयोदशी के व्रत की अन्य विधि सुनाता हूं उसे जान लेने से अत्यंत आनंद प्राप्त होता है वह विधि इस प्रकार है की त्रयोदशी के व्रत के दिन चांदी का बल तथा सोने की शिव गिरिज की मूर्ति बनवाई शिवजी की मूर्ति इस प्रकार हो कि उसमें 10 भुज पांच मुख तथा तीन नेत्र रहे इन मूर्तियों को तांबे के कलश में स्थापित करें क्लास के चारों पंचरत्न के बल तथा पुष्प स्थापित करें इसके साथ ही एक चांदी अथवा मिट्टी का दूसरा क्लास भी शामिल भी स्थापित करें उसे क्लास को वस्त्र माला तथा भूषण से सज्जित करें फिर पोषण सूप उपचार विधि द्वारा भगवान सदाशिव का पूजन करें चारों पहर रात्रि जागरण कर उत्सव मनाए तथा शिव जी को दंडवत प्रणाम करता हुआ अनेक प्रकार से स्तुति करें जब प्रातः काल हो जाए तब स्नान करके शिवजी का फिर पूजन करें पूजन के उपरांत हवन करें तत्पश्चात विसर्जन करके ब्राह्मणों को इस बात भजन कारण फिर ब्राह्मणों से आज्ञा लेकर स्वयं भी भोजन करें हे नारद प्रदोष व्रत की दूसरी विधि यह है कि जब त्रयोदशी के दिन शनिवार पड़े तथा शुक्ल पक्ष को उसे दिन संतान प्राप्ति के हेतु त्रयोदशी का व्रत आरंभ करें यदि तेरा मंगलवार की हो तो वह भी शुभ होती है शुक्रवार को पढ़ने वाली प्रयास स्त्री संतान तथा भगवान की विधि करती है रविवार के दिन पढ़ने वाली त्रयोदशी आयु बुद्धि तथा रोग शांति के लिए फल दायक कही गई है प्रति को चाहिए कि वह संकल्प करें संध्या के समय प्रति पूर्वक भगवान सदाशिव का पूजन करें चारों ओर दीपक जलाकर अपने मनोरथ का प्रकट करता हुआ शिवजी की अनेक प्रकार से स्तुति करें फिर नदी के अंडा कोष को देखकर उसके दोनों सिंघम के बीच के भाग को देखें तथा प्रांत उसकी मूछ का दर्शन करें ऐसे करने से संपूर्ण पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं संसार में जितने भी तीर्थ हैं वह सब बेल के अंडकोष में स्थित रहते हैं अंतर ब्राह्मणों को यथाशक्ति दक्षिणा देकर भोजन कारण और मौन व्रत धारण करें अंत में स्वयं भी लवण सहित होकर भोजन करें अथवा खीर खाएं इस प्रकार एक वर्ष तक त्र योदशी का व्रत धारण करें यदि 1 वर्ष तक व्रत करने की सुविधा न हो तो शनिवार को त्रयोदशी का केवल एक बार ही प्रदोष व्रत धारण करके सब व्रत का फल प्राप्त कर ले हे नारद प्रदोष व्रत की विधियां अनेक प्रकार की है तुम्हें यह बताया है कि स्त्रियों को प्रदोष व्रत किस प्रकार करना चाहिए स्त्रियों को उचित है कि हुए मांग मासी अर्थात अघन मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की त्रयोदशी को व्रत आरंभ करें उन्हें चमेली वृक्ष की दाल से दातुन करना चाहिए तथा भवन के पुष्प शिवजी के ऊपर चढ़ाने चाहिए स्नान आदि से निर्मित होकर जब वे शिव जी का पूजन करने बैठे तो सर्वप्रथम शिवलिंग के ऊपर भाव के पुष्प चढ़ावे फिर अन्य वीडियो से पोषण शॉप आचरण पूजन करके नारंगी का अर्थ दें तथा फनी तथा चित्रों की का निर्माता लगे मार्गशीर्ष मांग के पूजन में शिव जी का नाम हरण होता है स्त्रियों को चाहिए कि वह पूजन आदि से निर्मित होकर रात को शहर का भोजन करें हे नारद पौष मास में शिव जी का नाम लटेश्वर होता है आशुतोष शिव स्त्रियों को चाहिए की होगी इस मास में गुलहर की दातुन का रहता था जाती पुष्प को शिवजी के ऊपर चढ़ने अनार का अर्थ देकर अशोक भारती का निवेद लगे उन्हें स्वयं श्वेत चंदन को खाना चाहिए हे नारद मांग मास में शिव जी का नाम योगेश होता है आज तो स्त्रियों को चाहिए कि हुए इस मांग में विष्णु कांत के दातों करें कुंदन के पुष्प शिवजी पर चढ़ने बीच पूर्वक का अर्थ दें तथा आगरा का निर्माता लगाने के नारद फागुन मास में शिव जी का नाम वीरेश होता है अस्तु इस मास में स्त्रियों को अनार के तत्व करनी चाहिए उन्हें शिव जी के ऊपर धतूरे के फूल पर चढ़ने उचित है यह नारद चैत मास में शिव जी का नाम भाव होता है आज तू इस माह में मलिक अर्थात बैल की दातुन करनी चाहिए धतूरे को शिवजी पर चढ़ाना चाहिए और उसी का हाथ देकर खजूर का निर्माता लगाना चाहिए इस मास में रात्रि के समय स्वयं कपूर खाना उचित है यह नारद वैशाख मास में शिव जी का नाम महादेव होता है वस्तु इस मास में स्त्रियों को उचित है कि लटजीरे की धतूर करें शिव जी के ऊपर चमेली का पुष्प चढ़ावे उत्प्लान का अर्थ डे तथा पुर्थक नामक अन्य का नियमित लगावे हे नारद चेस्ट मास में शिव जी का नाम प्रदुमन होता है अस्तु इस मास में स्त्रियों को शादी की तत्वों करनी चाहिए शिवजी के ऊपर बकुल का पुष्प चढ़ाना चाहिए रात्रि के समय स्वयं लॉन्ग खाना उचित है हे नारद आषाढ़ मास में शिव जी का नाम उमापति होता है वस्तु इस मास में स्त्रियों को जीत है कि वह नारंगी के दतन करें तथा शिवजी के ऊपर कदम के पुस्तकों को चढ़ाए स्वयं रात्रि को तिल खाने चाहिए है नारद श्रावण मास में शिव जी का नाम शु प्राणी होता है इस मास में स्त्रियों को जीत है कि वह जाति गीता तुम करें तथा कमल का पुष्प शिवजी के ऊपर चढ़ने जामुन के फलों का अर्क अधिकार दूध का निवेद लगाना उचित कहा गया है रात्रि के समय में स्वयं हुए खाने चाहिए हे नारद भाद्र मास में शिव जी का नाम सदैव होता है कि महासच में वृद्धि स्त्री को कामकुल की धतूर करनी चाहिए तथा चंपक के फूलों से शिवजी का पूजन करना चाहिए स्वयं रात्रि के समय गुरु का भोजन करना चाहिए हे भारत अश्विनी अर्थात कंवर मास में शिव जी का नाम बामदेव होता है आज तू इस मास में प्रति स्त्रियों को कामकुल की दातुन करनी चाहिए तथा कनेर के पुष्प शिवजी के ऊपर चढ़ाने चाहिए रात्रि के समय स्वयं काशीफल का भोजन करना चाहिए हे नारद बाहर में कार्तिक मास में शिवजी का नाम जगदीश्वर होता है आज तो वृत्ति स्त्री को उचित है कि वह इस मास में उग्र कदम की दातुन करें तथा शिवजी के ऊपर रक्त उत्पाद चढ़ाई रात्रि के समय में फल खाना चाहिए हे नारद इस प्रकार जो स्त्री प्रदोष करती है उसे सिद्ध प्राप्त होने में कोई असमय नहीं रहता है इस भांति 1 वर्ष तक व्रत धारण कर लेने पर उत्पन्न कर देना उचित है इस विधि को सुनने तथा पढ़ने से भी दोनों लोगों में आनंद प्राप्त होता है

Brahma Ji said, O Narada, once in ancient times a big war took place between Gods and demons. The ruler of Gods was Indra and the ruler of demons was Vritra Surta. In that war Vritra Surta made his body so big that no god was capable of facing him. Then all the gods left the battlefield and ran away and went to Brihaspati and said, O Lord Vritra Surta defeated us in the battlefield and drove us away. He does not have that much power to face him in any way. Today, please tell us a solution by which we can win. O Narada, on listening to the prayers of the Gods, Brihaspati replied while meditating on Lord Sadashiv. Gods, this Vritra Suraj was a king named Chitratna in his previous birth. He had observed the Trayodashi fast as per the prescribed rituals and then served Lord Shiva and received his blessings. But due to the curse given by Shivrani, he appeared in this birth as Vritra Surya and appeared by forming Vritra Surta. Today, if you want to win over Vritra Surta, then observe Pradosh fast and worship Lord Sadashiv. A man who observes Pradosh fast achieves all his desires. We tell you the method of observing Pradosh fast. Listen to this carefully, O Gods. Pradosh should be started from the month of Kartik. In this way, one should observe a fast on Trayodashi Tithi of every month and worship Lord Shiva with Yantra. If Trayodashi day in Shukla Paksha falls on Saturday, then it gives excellent results. When Pradosh Kaal comes before dusk, then worship a famous Shivaling. Take a bath in the morning and wear Mohan and light many lamps of the village song. The number of these lamps is appropriate from 100 to thousand. If you do not have the capacity to light so many lamps, then 10-20 lamps must be lit. After this, offer all types of materials to Lord Shiva with love for knowledge and listen to the recitation of Satruti. In the end, circumambulate the Shivaling 200 times and feed the Brahmins. Then eat yourself too. O Gods, if you all follow this method, then Lord Sadashiv will be very pleased with you and will bless you with the blessings of victory over the world. All the gods were very happy to hear these words from Brihaspati that he will give power. He observed Pradosh fast as per the order of his Guru. Then taking shelter of the grace of Lord Shiva, when he fought with Vritra and Vritra and died by creating wings of Indra, then all the gods were very happy after victory over their enemy. After telling this much story, Brahma ji said, O Narada, now I will tell you another method of Trayodashi fast. Knowing it gives immense happiness. That method is as follows that on the day of Trayodashi fast, make a silver idol and a golden idol of Shiv Girij. The idol of Lord Shiva should be such that it has 10 arms, five faces and three eyes. Install these idols in a copper urn. Install Panchratna idols and flowers on all four sides of the vessel. Along with this, also install another idol of silver or clay. Decorate the vessel with clothes, garlands and ornaments. Then worship Lord Sadashiv by Poshan Soop Upchar method. Celebrate the festival by staying awake all the four hours of the night and worship Lord Shiva in many ways while bowing down to him. When it is morning, take a bath and worship Lord Shiva again. After worship, perform havan. After that, immerse yourself and offer prayers to the Brahmins. Then, after taking permission from the Brahmins, eat food yourself. O Narada. The second method of Pradosh fast is that when Trayodashi falls on Saturday and Shukla Paksha, start the Trayodashi fast for getting a child on that day. If the day falls on Tuesday, it is also auspicious. The Trayodashi fast that is read on Friday is for women, children and God. Trayodashi that is read on Sunday is said to be fruitful for age, wisdom and disease-relief. The person should take a resolution. In the evening, worship Lord Sadashiv with full devotion. Light lamps all around and praise Lord Shiva in many ways while expressing your desire. Then, looking at the egg-shell of the river, see the part between its two Singhams and see its moustache. By doing this, all sins are destroyed. All the pilgrimages in the world are situated in the testicles of the vine. Give Dakshina to the Brahmins as per your capacity, take food and observe silence. Wear it and at the end, eat food with salt or eat kheer. In this way, observe the fast of Trayodashi for one year. If you are not able to observe fast for one year, then observe Pradosh fast only once on Trayodashi on Saturday and get the fruits of all the fasts. O Narada, there are many types of methods of Pradosh fast. You have been told how women should observe Pradosh fast. It is appropriate for women to start the fast on Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha of Maang Masi i.e. Aghan month. They should brush their teeth with the pulse of jasmine tree and offer flowers of the house to Lord Shiva. After getting ready from bath etc., when they sit to worship Lord Shiva, first of all, offer flowers of Bhaav on Shivling. Then, by doing Poshan Shop Aacharana Puja from other videos, give the meaning of orange and start the fun and pictures. In the worship of Margashirsha Maang, the name of Lord Shiva is abducted. Women should get ready from worship etc. and eat city food at night. O Narada, in Paush month, the name of Lord Shiva is Lateshwar. Women should use Gulhar toothbrush in this month.The flowers should be offered to Lord Shiva by giving the meaning of pomegranate, the offering of Ashok Bharti should be made, he should eat white sandalwood himself, hey Narad, in the month of Mang, the name of Lord Shiva is Yogesh, today women should wear Vishnu Kant's teeth in the parting, Kundan flowers should be offered to Lord Shiva, give the meaning of Purva and apply the decoction of Agra, Narad in the month of Phalgun, the name of Lord Shiva is Veeresh, so in this month women should use pomegranate, it is appropriate to offer Dhatura flower to Lord Shiva, this is Narad, in the month of Chaitra, the name of Lord Shiva is Bhaav, today in this month you should brush the teeth of Malik i.e. bull, Dhatura should be offered to Lord Shiva and by giving its hand, date palm should be applied, it is appropriate to eat camphor yourself at night in this month, hey Narad, in the month of Vaishakh, the name of Lord Shiva is Mahadev, in this month it is appropriate for women to offer Dhatura of Latjira, offer Jasmine flower to Lord Shiva, the meaning of Utplan is Day and Purthak One should regularly apply the name of Lord Shiva on the other hand, O Narad. In the month of Chest, the name of Lord Shiva is Praduman. Therefore, in this month, women should perform rituals related to marriage. One should offer Bakul flower to Lord Shiva. It is appropriate to eat cloves at night. O Narad. In the month of Ashadha, the name of Lord Shiva is Umapati. In this month, women should chew oranges and offer Kadam flowers to Lord Shiva. They should eat sesame seeds at night. O Narad. In the month of Shravan, the name of Lord Shiva is Shudra. In this month, women should recite Geeta and offer lotus flower to Lord Shiva. It is said to be appropriate to offer extract of jamun fruit and milk. One should eat cloves at night. O Narad. In the month of Bhadra, the name of Lord Shiva is always there. A woman should consume Dhatura of Kamakul and should worship Lord Shiva with Champak flowers. One should eat Guru's food at night. O Bharat, in Ashwini i.e. Kanwar month, the name of Lord Shiva is Bamdev. Today, in this month, you Every woman should brush her teeth with Kamakul and offer Oleander flowers to Lord Shiva. She should eat Kashiphal at night. Oh Narada, in the month of Kartik, Lord Shiva is called Jagdishwar. Today, it is appropriate for a woman to brush her teeth with Ugra Kadam in this month and offer blood products to Lord Shiva. She should eat fruits at night. Oh Narada, the woman who observes Pradosh in this way, there is no delay in attaining Siddhi. In this way, it is appropriate to generate it after observing the fast for one year. Both the people get pleasure by listening and reading this method.
