श्री शिव महापुराण कथा 11वां खंड अध्याय 11

ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद भूलोक के ऊपर भुवलोक है उसकी लंबाई सूर्य तक एक लाख मिल से भी अधिक है वहां प्रत्येक जीव अपने पूर्णिया के अनुसार पहुंचता है और अनेक प्रकार के सुखों का उपभोग करता है हे नारद पहले अप लोक का नाम पिसाचार पुर है वहां भूत प्रेत आदि रहते हैं हुए पृथ्वी के अंश नहीं है हुए तीनों लोक में ब्राह्मण कर सकते हैं तथा प्रसन्न होकर दूसरों को वरदान भी दे सकते हैं उन्हें कभी किसी प्रकार का दुख नहीं होता जो लोग अपने करमावास उसे लोक में जाकर भूत प्रेत होते हैं उनका वृतांत मैं तुमसे कहता हूं सुनो किसी की संगति अथवा अधीनता के कारण को सामग्री एकत्रित कर किसी मनोरथ की प्राप्ति के हेतु किसी देवता की विधि रहित होकर जो पूजा करते हैं हुए मृत्यु के उपरांत पिसाचार पूर्व में जाकर भूत-प्रेत का शरीर प्राप्त करते हैं हे नारद इस आचारपुर के ऊपर हुआ लोक है वहां के निवासी भगवान सदाशिव के भक्त हैं वह अपने कुल देवताओं का पूजन करते हैं तथा उन्हें की आज्ञा अनुसार आचरण करते हैं वह श्रेष्ठ मार्ग द्वारा ज्ञान संचय करते हैं तथा सभी लोग के साथ किसने का व्यवहार रखते हैं भूख लोक के राजा मणि ग्रुप अपने गुना सहित भगवान सदाशिव का पूजन करते हैं और उन्हें के ध्यान में लीन रहते हैं हे नाथ भूख लोक के ऊपर तीसरा गंधर्व लोक है उसमें चरण तथा गंधर्व का निवास है वे लोग गण विद्या में अत्यंत चतुर है वहां किसी को कोई दुख नहीं होता गंधर्व के राजा विश्वास अपने संपूर्ण प्रजा सहित भगवान सदाशिव के मंत्र का जाप करते हैं और उसकी स्तुति करते हुए यह कहते हैं हे भगवान सदा शिव जी आप तीनों लोक के स्वामी आदि रात अंत से परे परम ब्रह्म है ब्रह्मा तथा विष्णु जी आदि सभी देवता एवं ऋषि मुनि आपकी सेवा किया करते हैं हे नारद गंधर्व लोक के ऊपर चौथ बीदर लोग है वहां बीदर निवास करते हैं जो संपूर्ण विधाओं के जानकार है जो लोग शास्त्र के आजा अनुसार योग व्यक्तियों को विद्या दान करते हैं अथवा श्रेष्ठ द्रव तथा विद्यार्थी को शिक्षा दिलाते हैं वह मृत्यु के उपरांत विद्याधर लोग को प्राप्त होते हैं कोई पांच अक्षरी मंत्र का जाप करते हुए उत्तम स्रोत का पाठ करते हैं तथा इस प्रकार प्रार्थना करते हैं यह गिरजापति आप संपूर्ण सृष्टि के उत्पन्न करता सबके स्वामी निष्पाप अविनाशी भक्त वात्सल्य तथा उपकारी हैं आप हमारे ऊपर भी अपना अनुग्रह करें हे नारद विद्याधर लोग के ऊपर पांचवा सिद्ध लोक है जो लोग भगवान सदाशिव का निर्णयता पूर्वक पूजन करते हैं तथा अपने धर्म के पालन में स्थिर रहते हैं वह उसे लोक में निवास पाते हैं वहां के सिद्ध जैन भगवान सदा शिव का मंत्र जपते हुए इस प्रकार प्रार्थना करते हैं हे प्रभु आपका स्वरूप परमहंशो जैसा तथा वेज भूतों की ऐसा है परंतु आप भक्तों की प्रत्येक मनोकामना को पूर्ण करते हैं यह दयाल आप हमारे ऊपर अपने विशेष कृपा सदैव बनाए रखें हे नारद सिद्ध लोक के ऊपर छतवान अप्सरा लोग है वहां रंभा आदि साथ सहस्त्र अप्सराय निवास करती है वह नृत्य दान में अत्यंत प्रवीण है वह अफसर आए इंद्र की सदैव सहायता किया करती है क्योंकि योगो तथा तपस्वी के ताप में विद्या डालने के लिए इंद्र उनका उपयोग करते हैं जो स्त्रियां संसार में धरमपूर्वक अपने पति व्रत धर्म की रक्षा करती है वह इस लोक में पहुंचकर सुखपूर्वक बहुत समय तक भोग विलास का आनंद उठाते हैं हे नारद अप्सरा लोक के ऊपर साथ हुआ राहु लोक है वहां सेहिका नामक राक्षसी का पुत्र राहु निवास करता है राहुल लोक से 10 सहस्त्र जोजन नीचे सूर्य नारायण रहते हैं जिस समय देवताओं को अमृत बनता जा रहा था उसे समय भगवान विष्णु जी अपने चक्र द्वारा राहु का मस्तक काट डाला था तत्पश्चात जब राहु ने शिवजी की बड़ी तपस्या की तो भगवान भूत भवन में उन्हें गृह बना दिया तब से वह निर्भय होकर देवताओं के सामने आकाश में रहने लगा मस्तक कर जाने के कारण राहु ने सूर्य चंद्रमा से शत्रुता बधाई तब भी वह अवसर पाकर सूर्य तथा चंद्रमा को कभी-कभी घर लेट है उसे समय भगवान विष्णु ने अपने चक्र द्वारा उसे हटा दिया संसार में ऐसे अवसर को ग्रहण के नाम से पुकारा जाता है जो सूर्य का मॉडल 10 सहस्त्र जोजन चंद्रमा का मॉडल 12 शास्त्र योजना तथा राहु का मॉडल 13 सहस्त्र जोजन लंबा है इसलिए राहु सूर्य तथा चंद्रमा का प्रबल हो जाता है ग्रहण के समय जो लोग थोड़ा सा भी दान पुण्य करते हैं उसे बहुत फल मिलता है यह नारद इस समय विष्णु जी ने राहु का मस्तक काट डाला तब वहां उसे स्थान में भाग कर शिवजी का तब करने लगा था उसके ताप से प्रसन्न होकर शिवजी ने उसे ग्राफ बना दिया तभी से वह अपने लोक में स्थित होकर भगवान सदाशिव का पूजन करके इस प्रकार स्तुति किया करता है प्रभु आप अपने भक्तों को प्रसन्नता प्रदान करने वाले हैं तथा उसके सब प्रकार के दुखों को नाश करते हैं मेरी यही अभिलाषा है कि आप मुझे अपने चरणों की भक्ति प्रदान करने की कृपा करें

Brahma Ji said, O Narada, there is Bhuvalok above Bhulok, its length is more than one lakh miles from the Sun, every creature reaches there according to its Purniya and enjoys many kinds of pleasures. O Narada, the name of the first Uplok is Pisachar Pur, ghosts and spirits etc. live there, which are not a part of the Earth, Brahmins can do this in all the three worlds and can also give blessings to others if pleased, they never have any kind of sorrow. Those who go to their Karmavas that lok become ghosts and spirits, I tell you their story, listen, those who collect materials due to someone's company or subordination and worship any deity without any method for the fulfillment of any wish, after death go to Pisachar Purva and get the body of a ghost or spirit. O Narada, there is a lok above this Aacharpur, the residents there are devotees of Lord Sadashiv, they worship their family deities and behave as per their orders, they accumulate knowledge through the best path and behave with everyone in a good manner. The king of Bhuk Lok, Mani Group, is the king of God with his Guna. They worship Sadashiv and remain engrossed in his meditation. O Nath, above Bhookh Lok, there is the third Gandharva Lok. Charan and Gandharva reside in it. They are very clever in Gan Vidya. No one has any sorrow there. Gandharva's king Vishwas, along with his entire subjects, chants Lord Sadashiv's mantra and while praising him says, O Lord Sada Shiv, you are the master of all the three worlds, the Supreme Brahma beyond the beginning, night and end. Brahma, Vishnu Ji and all the other gods and sages serve you. O Narad, above Gandharva Lok, there are fourth Bidar people. Bidar resides there, who are knowledgeable about all the disciplines. Those who donate knowledge to Yog persons as per the instructions of scriptures or provide the best liquid and education to the students, they attain Vidyadhar people after death. While chanting any five letter mantra, they recite Uttam Sutra and pray in this way, O Girjapati, you are the creator of the entire universe, the master of all, you are innocent, indestructible, devotee, affectionate and benevolent. Please shower your blessings on us too. Narad Vidyadhar Lok is the fifth Siddh Lok. Those who worship Lord Sadashiv with determination and remain steadfast in following their religion, get place in that Lok. Siddh Jains there, while chanting Lord Sadashiv's mantra, pray in this way. O Lord, your form is like Paramhansho and like that of the veg ghosts, but you fulfill every desire of your devotees. O kind one, please always keep your special grace on us. O Narad, above Siddh Lok, there are 66 Apsaras. There, along with Rambha, thousands of Apsaras reside. They are highly skilled in dance and donation. They always help Indra who comes to power because Indra uses them to impart knowledge to the yoga and the heat of ascetics. Those women who protect their husband's vow and religion with righteousness in this world, after reaching this Lok, happily enjoy the pleasures and luxuries for a long time. O Narad, above Apsara Lok, there is Rahu Lok. Rahu, the son of a demoness named Sehika resides there. 10 thousand Yojans below Rahul Lok, lives Surya Narayana. At that time, Rahu was becoming the nectar of the gods. At that time, Lord Vishnu cut off Rahu's head with his Chakra. After that, when Rahu did a great penance of Lord Shiva, Lord Shiva made him his home in Bhoot Bhawan. Since then, he fearlessly started living in the sky in front of the gods. Due to cutting off his head, Rahu had enmity with the Sun and the Moon. Even then, getting the opportunity, sometimes the Sun and the Moon get close to each other. At that time, Lord Vishnu removed him with his Chakra. In the world, such an occasion is called an eclipse. The model of the Sun is 10 thousand yojans, the model of the Moon is 12 Shastra Yojana and the model of Rahu is 13 thousand yojans long. Therefore, Rahu becomes stronger than the Sun and the Moon. At the time of eclipse, those who do even a little charity get great results. This Narad, at that time, Vishnu Ji cut off Rahu's head. Then he ran to the place and started praying to Lord Shiva. Pleased with his heat, Lord Shiva made him a graph. Since then, he is situated in his world and worships Lord Sadashiv and praises him in this way. Lord, you are the best for your devotees. You are the one who gives happiness to the soul and removes all its sorrows. It is my desire that you kindly grant me devotion to your feet.
