ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद इंद्राणी की बात सुनकर इंद्र अत्यंत लचित हुए तदुपरांत जामुन होने या देखा कि ऐरावत हाथी ऊंचे शराब घोड़ा काम दे दो गांवों तथा कल्पवृक्ष आदि वस्तुएं कहीं भी दिखाई नहीं देते तब उन्होंने बृहस्पति से या पूछा है गुरु इन सब वस्तुओं को यहां से खून चुरा लेग बृहस्पति ने उत्तर दिया हे इंद्र तुम्हारी सभी वस्तुओं को कौरवों ने दान कर दिया है उसने अपना जन्म सफल बनाने के हेतु तीन घड़ी में ही संपूर्ण सूखकर्म कर लिए हैं यह सुनकर इंद्र ने अत्यंत चिंतित होकर कहा हे प्रभु अब आप मुझे यह बताएं कि मैं अपनी वस्तुओं को फिर कैसे प्राप्त कर सकूंगा बृहस्पति ने उत्तर दिया है इंदिरा इस संबंध में तुम यमराज के पास जाकर उपाय पूछो हे नारद बृहस्पति की सलाह मानकर इंद्र यमराज के पास गए और उसने इस प्रकार कहने लगे है यमराज तुमने गौरव को हमारा पद देकर उचित नहीं किया उसने तीन घड़ी के भीतर ही हमारी संपूर्ण वस्तुएं दान कर दी आप तुम उन वस्तुओं को हमें किस प्रकार लौट कर दिलाओगे इंद्र की बात सुनकर यमराज ने भवरा को अपने पास बुलाया अत्यंत क्रुद्ध हो इस प्रकार कहा एक गौरव तुझे पराई संपत्ति नष्ट करने का क्या अधिकार था भला तुझे ऐसा कर्म करने का साहस किस प्रकार हुआ यह सुनकर कौरवों ने निर्भय होकर उत्तर दिया है यमराज जब तक मैं वहां का स्वामी रहा तब तक मैंने जो जी में आया किया ऐसी स्थिति में आप मेरे किसी भी कार्य को पाप कैसे कर सकते हैं यमराज बोले दान देना तो पृथ्वी में उचित कहा गया है क्योंकि वहां दान देने का फल प्राप्त होता है देवताओं के लोक में दान देने का फल नहीं मिलता हे नारद इस प्रकार यमराज के कौरवों को बहुत डराया धमकाया परंतु वह तनिक भी भयभीत नहीं हुआ उसे समय चित्रगुप्त ने हंसते हुए यह कहा यह धर्मराज गौरव ने वेद के अनुसार उत्तम धर्म किया है आज तो वह दरगाह में नहीं हो सकता और तू कौरव ने देवलोक में रहकर शिवजी के नाम पर जो दान दिया है वह भी उचित है इस पूर्ण कर्म के कारण गौरव के सभी पाप नष्ट हो गए हैं हे नारद चित्रगुप्त किया समृद्ध सुनकर धर्मराज ने इंद्र से कहा है देवराज इंद्र तुमने 100 अश्वमेध यज्ञ करके इंद्रलोक को प्राप्त किया है तथा गौरव ने अपने शुभ कर्मों द्वारा सभी पापों को नष्ट कर डाला है उचित है कि आप तुम अगस्त स्थिति आदि सभी मुनियों के पास जाओ और उसकी सेवा करके धन आदि भेष में देकर अपनी वस्तुएं प्राप्त कर लो इसकी अतिरिक्त अन्य कोई उपाय नहीं है यह सुनकर इंद्र यमराज के पास से लौट आया तब प्रांत उन्होंने मुनियों की सेवा सोवियत एवं भेद आदि द्वारा अपनी वस्तुएं पुणे प्राप्त कर ली हे नारद दूसरे जन्म में गौरव विश्व की पुत्री के गर्व से जिनका नाम सुरक्षित था और जो विरोचन को विवाह गई थी उत्पन्न हुए विरोचन में अपने मस्तक इंद्र को दहन देकर तीनों लोक में यश प्राप्त किया था गौरव ने इन्हीं विरोचन का पुत्र होकर तीनों लोक में बाली के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ बल्कि शिव जी की सेवा करके सदैव आनंदित रहा इंद्र का मनोरथ पूर्ण करने के हेतु विष्णु जी वामन ब्राह्मण का रूप धारण कर उसके समीप दान लेने गए बाली ने विष्णु जी को चल जानते हुए भी उन्हें प्रसन्न किया उसे दहन के प्रभाव से वह इस समय सूट सूत लोक का राजा है तथा विष्णु जी उसके नगर में रहकर प्रतिदिन उसे अपने दर्शन से कृतार्थ किया करते हैं

Brihaspati replied, Indira, in this regard you go to Yamraj and ask for a solution. O Narada, following Brihaspati's advice Indra went to Yamraj and he said, Yamraj you did not do right by giving our position to Gaurav. He donated all our things within three hours only. How will you return those things to us? On hearing Indra's words, Yamraj called Bhavra to him and became very angry and said, Gaurav, what right did you have to destroy someone else's property? Hearing how they got the courage to do the deed, the Kauravas fearlessly replied that Yamraj, as long as I was the lord of that place, I did whatever I felt like doing. In such a situation, how can you call any of my deeds a sin? Yamraj said that giving donations is considered appropriate on earth because there one gets the reward of giving donations. In the world of gods, one does not get the reward of giving donations. O Narada. In this way, Yamraj intimidated the Kauravas a lot, but they did not get scared at all. At that time, Chitragupt laughingly said that this Dharmaraj Gaurav has done the best religion according to the Vedas. Today he cannot be in the Dargah and the donation that you Kaurava have given in the name of Lord Shiva while living in Devlok is also appropriate. Due to this perfect deed, all the sins of Gaurav have been destroyed. O Narada, hearing Chitragupt enriched, Dharmaraj said to Indra that Devraj Indra, you have achieved Indralok by performing 100 Ashvamedha Yagyas and Gaurav has destroyed all the sins through his good deeds. It is appropriate that you go to all the sages like Agastya etc. and take his blessings. There is no other way to get your things by serving and giving money etc. O Narada, in the second birth, Gaurav was born as the daughter of Vishwa, whose name was safe and who was married to Virochana, and Virochana had given him fame in all the three worlds by burning his head to Indra. Gaurav, being the son of this Virochana, became famous in all the three worlds by the name of Bali. In fact, he remained happy by serving Lord Shiva. To fulfill Indra's desire, Lord Vishnu took the form of Vaman Brahmin and went to him to seek donations. Bali, knowing Vishnu Ji to be a fool, pleased him. Due to the effect of burning him, he is now the king of Soot Soot Lok and Lord Vishnu resides in his city and blesses him with his darshan every day.
