श्री शिव महापुराण कथा 11वां खंड अध्याय 8

ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे पुत्र नीचे के लोगों का वर्णन तो हो चुका है आप तुम ऊपर के लोगों का वृतांत सुनो 36 लोग में मनुष्य रहते हैं 36 लोग का विस्तार 50 करोड़ योजन है इस योजन में सात दीप हैं जिन्हें चारों ओर से दिग्गज घिरे हुए हैं इन दीपों के नाम इस प्रकार है पहले जमी दीप पलक दीप शाल्मिक दीप पुश दीप कोच दीप साग दीप तथा पुष्कर दीप के सातों दीप क्रम अनुसार एक दूसरे से लंबाई में दुगनी है इन सातों दीपों के चारों ओर खाई के भांति साथ समुद्र है जिसके नाम इस प्रकार है एक चारों दी दूसरा चारों दी दूसरा विरोधी तथा गुरुत्वादी तीसरा सरोदी मंडोली तथा शुरू तोड़ी हे नारद मुनि के पुत्र राजा प्रिया व्रत इन सातों दीप के एक छात्र सम्राट थे प्रिया व्रत में अपने सातों पुत्रों को एक-एक दीप का राज दिया था राजप्रिया व्रत के सातों पुत्रों के नाम इस प्रकार है पहली अग्नि शीघ्र दूसरा नियमराजित मुख बहू काम करता ग्रीन पुस्तक में गाती थी तथा प्रीति हॉट इतनी कथा सुनकर सूद जी ने कहा ही शौक नदी ऋषियों यहां वृत्तांत सुनकर नारद जी ने ब्रह्मा जी से कहा है पिता अपने सृष्टि का यह वर्णन बहुत संक्षेप में किया है आज तुम मेरी इच्छा है कि आप मुझे विस्तार पूर्वक सुनने की कृपा करें ब्रह्मा जी बोले हे नारद जमादीप का विस्तार नियुक्ति योजन का है यह कमल के फूल के समान गोल है इसके भीतरनाव खंड तथा 8 पर्वत है इसके नाम इस प्रकार हैं भद्रासंग खंड हरिवंश खंड कि पुरानखंड घृत खंड केतु माल खंड हिरण्यक खंड करताल खान अरुण खंड लीला खंड पर्वत के नाम इस प्रकार है गंधमान निषाद हेमकूट हिमाचल माला खान नीली गिरी हुई तथा सिंगर तथा इन करो में जो खंड इलाहाबाद नाम है इसके मध्य में सुमेर नामक एक स्वर्ण का पर्वत है वह पर्वत अन्य सभी पर्वतों का राजा है तथा दीपों के बीचो-बीच सुब्रत है इलाहाबाद खान के चारों ओर अनेक पर्वत है हे नारद सुमेरु पर्वत को भी चारों ओर से चार पर्वत घिरे हुए हैं उसके नाम इस प्रकार है मदर मेर सुपरस्टार तथा क्रोध इन पर्वत पर राम अनुसार चार वृक्ष है इसके नाम इस प्रकार है यह कैमरा जामुन कम तथा बरगद या चार ही समुद्र है वह इन प्रकार है दही का शहर का उपयोग के रस का तथा शुद्ध जल का यह देवताओं के बिहार करने में निर्मित चारवान है जिनके नाम इस प्रकार है नंदनवन क्षेत्र रात बेसरा पंजाब तथा सरवत घाट सुमेरु पर्वत के पूर्व की ओर हेमकुंड तथा देवउठनी नामक दो पर्वत है दक्षिण की ओर कैलाश तथा कबीर नामक पर्वत है तथा उत्तर की ओर त्रिभुज तथा मकर नामक पर्वत है हे नारद जम्मू दीप के इन नो करो में भारत खंड कर्मचारी क्षेत्र अर्थात शुभ कार्य करने के लिए सर्वोत्तम है क्योंकि भारत खंड में किए हुए श्रेष्ठ कार्य उत्तम फल देने वाले हैं इस कर्म भूमि में जो मनुष्य पाप पुण्य के जैसे कर्मकर्ता है वैसे ही फल की प्राप्ति होता है इस खंड में क्रम अनुसार चार युग बदलते हैं जबकि वह करो में सदैव त्रेता युग वर्तमान रहता है

O Narad Muni's son, Raja Priya Vrat was a student emperor of these seven islands. Priya Vrat had given the rule of one island each to his seven sons. The names of the seven sons of Rajpriya Vrat are as follows - First Agni Shighr, Second Niyamarajit Mukh, Bahu Kam Karta, Green used to sing in the book and Preeti Hot. On hearing this much tale, Sood ji said Shauk River Rishis, after listening to the story here, Narad ji said to Brahma ji, father, you have described this creation in a very brief manner. Today I wish that you please listen to me in detail. Brahma ji said, O Narad, the expansion of Jamudivee is of Niyukti Yojana. It is round like a lotus flower. It has Bhitarnav section and 8 mountains. Its names are as follows, Bhadrasang section, Harivansh section, Purankhand, Ghrit section, Ketu Mal section, Hiranyak section, Kartal Khan, Arun section, Leela section. The names of the mountains are as follows, Gandhman Nishad, Hemkut, Himachal Mala Khan, Neeli Girihui and Singer. And in these Karo, the section named Allahabad has a golden mountain named Sumer in its middle. That mountain is the king of all the other mountains and Subrat is in the middle of the lamps. There are many mountains around Allahabad Khan. O Narad, Sumeru mountain is also surrounded by four mountains from all sides. Its names are as follows, Mother Mer Superstar and Krodh. According to Ram, there are four trees on this mountain. Its names are as follows, this is Camera, Jamun, Kam and Banyan or Char This sea is of these types, it is of curd, juice and pure water. It is built for the gods to relax and have fun. Its names are Nandanvan area, Raat Besra, Punjab and Sarwat Ghat. To the east of Sumeru mountain there are two mountains named Hemkund and Devuthani. To the south there are mountains named Kailash and Kabir and to the north there are mountains named Trikonoshna and Makar. O Narada, out of these nine regions of Jammu island, Bharat Khand is the employee region i.e. the best for doing auspicious works because the good works done in Bharat Khand give good results. In this Karmabhoomi, a person gets the results according to his deeds, whether they are sins or virtues. In this region the four Yugas change sequentially, whereas Treta Yuga is always present in that region.
