श्री शिव महापुराण कथा 11 खंड अध्याय 26

मारकंडे जी ने कहा हे भीष्म जी समय उसे ब्राह्मण ने यह देखा कि उनके चारों ओर पुत्र महापात्र की यात्रा को जाने को प्रस्तुत है उसे समय उसने अत्यंत दुखी होकर यह कहा है पुत्रों तुम चारों तो महापात्र की यात्रा को जाते हो माया अकेला घर पर रहकर क्या करूंगा अब यह तो तुम मुझे भी अपने साथ ले चलो अन्यथा मेरे क्रिया कर्म का उपाय करते जाओगे जिससे मुझे इस वृद्ध अवस्था में कष्ट ना भोगना पड़े मन इतना दरिद्र हूं कि घर में भोजन के लिए कुछ नहीं मेरे ध्यान के रूप में केवल तुम चारों की हो और तुम मुझे अकेला छोड़ जाना तुम्हें उचित नहीं है यह सुनकर उन लड़कों ने कर दिया है पिता तुम काफिला नगरी के राजा बरामदा तथा उनके दोनों मंत्रियों के पास जाकर हमारा संदेश कहना हुए तुम्हें असंख्य धन देर देंगे जिससे तुम्हारा जीवन सुख पूर्वक कट जाएगा हे भीष्म इतना कहकर उन्होंने राजा ब्रह्म दत्त तथा उनके मंत्रियों के नाम एक पत्र इस पर आशय का लिखा है भाइयों हम तुम पूर्व जन्म के भाई हैं पहले जन्म में कुकर्म करने के कारण हम बाग ग्रह हुआ तदुपरांत मृग चक्रवात तथा हंस हुआ तुमने वन में एक बार राजा को दिखा जिससे तुम्हारी सत्य राज पानी में हुई उन आसक्त के कारण तुम योग भ्रष्ट होकर राजा तथा मंत्री बने हो और हम चारों इस ब्राह्मण के घर में उत्पन्न हुए हैं अब हम लोग महापात्र की यात्रा पर जा रहे हैं वास्तु उचित है कि तुम भी घर में व्यर्थ पड़े न रहकर हमारा साथ दो हम अपने पिता को तुम्हारे समीप भेज रहे हैं तुम इन्हें बहुत सावधान देकर प्रसन्न करना तथा अपने पुत्रों को राज का सौंप कर हमारे पास शीघ्र आना हे भीष्म इस प्रकार पत्र लिखकर उन चारों ने अपने पिता को विदा किया और स्वयं महापात्र की यात्रा को चल दिए वह ब्राह्मण अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर धन प्राप्त करने के लिए कपिल पुरी में जा पहुंचा परंतु उसे वहां राजा से भेंट करने का अवसर नहीं मिला तब वह एक स्थान पर ठहरकर राजा से भेंट करने की प्रतिज्ञा करने लगा सहयोग वास उन्हें दोनों राजा के घर एक पुत्र का जन्म हुआ उनका नाम विश्व से रखा गया विश्व सेन गुण सौंदर्य बल तथा बुद्धि में अदिति था पुत्र उत्पन्न होने पर राजा ब्रह्म दत्त अपनी रानी तथा मंत्रियों को साथ लेकर ब्राह्मण करने के लिए वन में जा पहुंचा वहां उसने अनेक प्रकार से आनंद मनाया हे भीष्म एक दिन राजा ने वैन में किसी पशु को मिथुन करते हुए देखा तब उसने यह इच्छा प्रकट की कि हम भी अपने रहने के साथ भोग करें वस्तु जब वह इस इच्छा से रानी के पास गया तब रानी ने नम्रता क्रोध लज्जा संकोच तथा विनय का आश्रय लेकर राजा को भोग करने से रोका जब राजा ने उसकी यह गति देखी तो पूछा है रानी तुम इस प्रकार हॉट तथा निसंदे क्यों कर रही हो सो मुझे बताओ रानी ने उत्तर दिया है राजन यदि मैं इस कारण आपको बता दूं तो मेरी तुरंत प्रीति हो जाएगी आज तो आप इस संबंध में मुझे कुछ भी पूछने की कृपा ना करें रानी के यह वचन सुनकर राजा अत्यंत आश्चर्य चकित हो निर्मल व्रत धारण कर जगदीश्वर का ध्यान करने लगा जब उसे व्रत रखते हुए 6 दिन तथा छह रात व्यतीत हो गई तब परमेश्वर ने प्रकट होकर राजा सिया कहा है राजन प्रातः काल होने पर तुम्हें सब वृतांत ज्ञात हो जाए हे भीष्म इतना कहा कर जा परमेश्वर अंतर्ध्यान हो गए तब प्रातः काल होने पर राजा अपनी रानी तथा मंत्री को साथ लेकर राजधानी की ओर लौट चला जिस समय वह राजधानी को लौट रहा था तभी मार्ग में अवसर पाकर उसे ब्राह्मण ने जो राजा के अन्य चार भाइयों का पिता था वह पत्र राजा को दिया उसे पत्र को पढ़ते ही राजा का मन संसारी माया मुंह से विरक्त हो गई तब उसने ब्राह्मण को अत्यंत टी बहुत सावधान देकर विदा कर दिया फिर स्वयं भी अपने पुत्र को राष्ट्रीय शासन शॉप कर रानी सहित तपस्या करने के हेतु महापात्र की यात्रा पर चला गया हे भीष्म जब राजा मानसरोवर को जा पहुंचा तब वहां उसकी सुमित नमक रानी ने जो देवल की पुत्री थी उसे बताया है स्वामी उसे समय मैं आपके साथ जो भोग नहीं किया था उसका कारण यह था कि मैं आपको सांसारिक भोग विलास से विरक्त करके यथार्थ मार्ग पर लाना चाहती थी ईश्वर की कृपा से मेरा या मनोरथ पूर्ण हुआ आप इस अपराध के लिए मुझे क्षमा प्रदान करें रानी के मुख से यह वचन सुनकर राजा ब्रह्मदत को अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई तब प्रांत वह वहीं रहकर रानी सहित शिवाजी भगवान की तपस्या करने लगा और अंत में परम पद को प्राप्त हुआ हे भीष्म कुदक रक नमक जो भाई मित्र था वह भी राजा के चले जाने के उपरांत अपने पूर्व जन्म का स्मरण का सांसारिक मोह माया त्याग और संख्या शास्त्र की रीति योग धारण का मुक्ति हो गया तथा पाचक नमक दूसरी बात को वेद की रीति के अनुसार शिवजी तब करने योग्य मार्ग द्वारा परंपरा को प्राप्त हुआ इस प्रकार विश्वामित्र के सातों पुत्र अनेक जन्मों में अनेक शरीर धारण करने के उपरांत मोक्ष को प्राप्त हुआ उनकी मुक्ति का कारण पितरों की सेवा ही समझनी चाहिए मित्रों की भक्ति करने से मोक्ष अवश्य प्राप्त होती है ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद भीष्म पितामह के मुख से पितरों की ऐसी महिमा सुनकर युधिष्ठिर को अत्यंत प्रसन्नता प्राप्त हुई तब से उन्होंने अपना मन पितरों की सेवा में विशेष रूप से लगाए पितरों का यह चरित्र अत्यंत पवित्र है जो लोग इसे पढ़ने सुनते तथा अथवा दूसरों को सुनते हैं हुए संसार ऐसा प्रकार के आनंद प्राप्त कर अंत में मुक्त हो जाते हैं इतनी कथा सुना कर तू जी ने कहा यह शौक नदी ऋषियों ब्रह्मा जी के मुख से शिव जी के गुण चरित्र का श्रवण कर नाराज दिया अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए तथा भगवान सदा शिव का स्मरण कीर्तन करते हुए उनसे विदा लेकर ब्राह्मण करने हेतु चल दिए भगवान सदा शिव की महिमा तीनों लोक में प्रसिद्ध है जो लोग श्री शिव गिरजा का स्मरण पूजन एवं ध्यान करते हैं वह दोनों लोक में अवश्य ही आनंद प्राप्त होता है इति श्री शिव

Markande ji said, O Bhishma ji, at that time the Brahmin saw that all his sons were ready to go for the Mahapatra pilgrimage. At that time he said with great sorrow, sons, you four are going for the Mahapatra pilgrimage. Maya, what will I do by staying alone at home. Now you take me along with you, otherwise you will keep making arrangements for my last rites, so that I do not have to suffer in this old age. I am so poor that there is nothing to eat at home. I only have you four as my concern and it is not right for you to leave me alone. On hearing this, those boys said, father, you should go to King Baramda of the city of Faifala and his two ministers and convey our message. We will give you innumerable wealth, so that your life will be spent happily. O Bhishma, after saying this, they wrote a letter to King Brahma Dutt and his ministers with the meaning, brothers, we are brothers from our previous birth. Due to our misdeeds in our previous birth, we were born in a forest. Thereafter, we became a deer, a cyclone and a swan. You showed yourself to the king once in the forest, due to which your truth was revealed. Due to their attachment, you became corrupt in your yoga. You have become a king and a minister and we four were born in this Brahmin's house. Now we are going on a journey to Mahapatra. It is appropriate that you also accompany us instead of staying idle at home. We are sending our father to you. You please him by giving him a lot of caution and hand over the kingdom to your sons and come to us soon. O Bhishma. After writing this letter, all four of them bid farewell to their father and themselves set out for the journey to Mahapatra. The Brahmin was very happy and reached Kapil Puri to get money, but he did not get a chance to meet the king there. Then he stayed at one place and took a vow to meet the king. A son was born to both the kings. He was named Vishwa. Vishwa Sen was adept in qualities, beauty, strength and intelligence. After the birth of the son, King Brahma Dutt along with his queen and ministers went to the forest to marry the Brahmin. There he enjoyed in many ways. O Bhishma. One day the king saw some animal mating in the forest. Then he expressed his desire that he should also enjoy things along with his stay. When he went to the queen with this desire, then the queen said to him, Taking recourse to humility, anger, shame, hesitation and modesty, she stopped the king from indulging in pleasures. When the king saw her in this state, he asked, "Queen, why are you behaving so hot and shameless? So tell me." The queen replied, "O King, if I tell you the reason, I will immediately fall in love with you. Today, please do not ask me anything in this regard." Hearing these words of the queen, the king was very surprised and took a pure fast and started meditating on Jagadishwar. When six days and six nights passed while he was fasting, then the Lord appeared and said to King Siya, "O King, you will come to know the whole story in the morning, O Bhishma. Saying this, go." The Lord disappeared. Then in the morning, the king returned to the capital with his queen and minister. While he was returning to the capital, a Brahmin, who was the father of the king's four other brothers, found an opportunity on the way and gave him a letter. On reading the letter, the king's mind became detached from worldly illusions. Then he sent the Brahmin away after giving him utmost caution and then he himself made his son the ruler of the country along with the queen. Bhishma went on a journey to Mahapatra to perform penance. When the king reached Manasarovar, his queen Sumit, who was the daughter of Deval, told him that the reason I did not enjoy life with you at that time was that I wanted to make you disinterested from worldly pleasures and bring you on the right path. By the grace of God, my desire was fulfilled. Please forgive me for this crime. Hearing these words from the queen, king Brahmadat was very happy. Then he stayed there and started performing penance of Lord Shivaji along with the queen and finally attained the ultimate position. Bhishma, Kudak Rak, who was his brother friend, also got salvation after the king left, by remembering his previous birth, renouncing worldly attachment and adopting Yoga according to the method of Sankhya Shastra. And the other thing that was attained by Pachak was attained by the tradition of Shivaji through the path that was to be followed according to the method of Vedas. In this way, all the seven sons of Vishwamitra attained salvation after taking many bodies in many births. The reason for their salvation should be considered to be the service of ancestors. By worshipping friends. Salvation is definitely attained. Brahma Ji said O Narada, on hearing such glory of ancestors from the mouth of Bhishma Pitamah, Yudhishthir felt very happy. From then onwards, he devoted his mind especially in the service of ancestors. This character of ancestors is very sacred, those who read and listen to it or tell it to others, get such bliss in the world and finally get liberated. After narrating this much tale, Tu ji said this Shauk river, after listening to the character of virtues of Lord Shiva from the mouth of the sages Brahma Ji, the sages became very happy and while remembering and singing the praises of Lord Sada Shiva, took leave from him and went to do Brahmin. The glory of Lord Sada Shiva is famous in all the three worlds. Those who remember, worship and meditate on Shri Shiv Church, definitely get bliss in both the worlds. Thus Shri Shiv
