श्री साई चरित्र अध्याय 46

बाबा की गया यात्रा बकरों के पूर्व जन्म की कथा इस अध्ययन में श्याम की काशी प्रयाग हुआ गया की यात्रा और बाबा किस प्रकार वहां इसके पूर्व ही चित्र के रूप में पहुंचे तथा दो बकरों के घाट जम्मू के इतिहास आदि का वर्णन किया गया है प्रस्तावना है साइन आपके श्री चरण धन्य है जो उनका स्मरण कितना सुखदाई है आपके भाव भाव विनाशक स्वरूप का दर्शन ही धन्य है जिसके फल स्वरुप कर्म बंधन चित्र भिन्न हो जाते हैं यदि आप हमें आपके सगुन स्वरूप का दर्शन हो जा हो सकता फिर भी यदि भक्तगण अपने श्री चरणों में श्रद्धा रखें तो आप उन्हें प्रत्येक अनुभव दे दिया करते हैं आप एक अज्ञात आकर्षण शक्ति तथा निकटतम या दस्त भक्तों एवं अपने स्वामी खींच कर उन्हें एक दयालु माता के समान हृदय से लगे हे साईं भक्त नहीं जानते कि आपका निवास कहां है परंतु आप किस कुशलता से उन्हें प्रेरित करते हैं जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप वार्षिक होने लगता है कि आपका अभय हस्त उनके सिर पर है और यह आपकी कृपा दृष्टि का परिणाम है कि उन्हें अज्ञात सहायता सदैव प्राप्त होती रहती है अहंकार के वशीभूत होकर उच्च कोटि के विद्वान और चतुर पुरुष भी इस भवसागर की दलदल में फंस जाते हैं परंतु है साइन आपके बाल आपकी शक्ति से आशाएं और सूर्योदय भक्ति को इस दलदल से उभर कर उसकी रक्षा किया करते हैं पर्दा की वोट में पीछे रहकर आप ही तो सब न्याय कर रहे हैं फिर भी आप ऐसा अभिनय करते हैं जैसे उसने आपका कोई संबंध ही ना हो कोई भी आपकी संपूर्ण जीवन कथा ना जान सका इसलिए ही श्रेया स्वीकार है कि हम अन्य भाव से आपके श्री चरणों की शरण में आ जाएं और आपके पापों से मुक्ति होने के लिए एक मात्र आपकी ही नाम स्मरण करते रहे आप अपने निष्काम भक्तों की समस्त इच्छाएं पूर्ण कर उन्हें परम आनंद की प्राप्ति कर दिया करते हैं यह वाला आपके मधु नाम का उच्चारण ही भक्तों के लिए अत्यंत सम पद है यह साधन से उसमें राशि और तामसिक गुना का हाथ होकर सातवीं का और धार्मिक गुना का विकास होगा इसके साथ ही उन्हें क्रमशः विवेक बैरागी और ज्ञान की प्राप्ति होगी तब उन्हें आत्महत्या होकर गुरु से भी अभित प्राप्त होगी और इसका भी दूसरा अर्थ है गुरु के प्रति अन्याय भाव से शरणागत होगा इसका निश्चित परिणाम केवल यही है कि तब हमारा मन स्थिर अवशांत हो सकता है इस रंगत गति भक्ति और ज्ञान की माता अद्वितीय है क्योंकि इसके साथ ही शांति बैरागीकृति मोक्ष इत्यादि भी प्राप्त सहज ही हो सकती हो जाती है यदि बाबा अपने भक्तों पर अधूरा करते हैं तो वह सदैव ही उसके समय पर आते हैं चाहे भक्त कहीं भी क्यों ना चला जाए परंतु हुए तो किसी न किसी रुपए में रूप में पहले ही वहां पहुंच जाते हैं यही निम्नलिखित कथा में से स्पष्ट है गया यात्रा बाबा से परिचय होने के कुछ कल पहचान थी काकासाहेब दीक्षित ने अपने श्रेष्ठ पुत्र बापू का नागपुर में उपन्यास संस्कार करने का निश्चय किया और लगभग उसी समय नाना साहब चांदोलकर ने भी अपने श्रेष्ठ पुत्र की ग्वालियर में शादी करने का कार्यक्रम बनाया दीक्षित और चांदूरकर दोनों ही शिरडी आए और प्रेम पूर्वक उन्होंने बाबा को निमंत्रण दिया तब उन्होंने अपने प्रतिनिधि शर्मा को ले जाने को कहा परंतु जब उन्होंने स्वयं पधारने के लिए उसने अलग अनुग्रह किया तो उन्होंने उत्तर दिया कि बनारस और प्रज्ञा निकल जाने के पक्ष में समा पहले ही पहुंच जाएगा पाठकगढ़ कृपया इन शब्दों को थोड़ा ध्यान में रखें क्योंकि यह शब्द बाबा की सरवक्ता के बोधक है बाबा की आज्ञा प्राप्त कर सामान्य इन उत्सवों में सम्मिलित होने के लिए पहले नागपुर ग्वालियर और इसके पश्चात काशी प्रयाग और गया जाने का निश्चय किया पापा कोट श्याम के साथ जाने को तैयार हो गए प्रथम तो हुए दोनों उपनयन संस्कार में सम्मिलित होने नागपुर पहुंचे वहां काका साहब दीक्षित ने संप को ₹200 खर्च के निर्माता दिए वहां से हुए लोग विवाह में सम्मिलित होकर ग्वालियर गए वहां नानासाहेब अंबेडकर ने ₹100 और उसके संबंधित श्री यथार्थ भी ₹100 शर्मा को भेंट किया फिर बाबा समकाशी पहुंचे जहां जठर में लक्ष्मी नारायण जी के भव्य मंदिर में उसका उत्तम स्वागत किया गया अयोध्या में जठर व्यापक ने भी जमा का अच्छा स्वागत किया श्याम और पोते अध्ययन 21 दिन तक काशी बनारस में दो मास्टर कर फिर गया को रवाना हो गए मैं प्लेट फैलाने का समाचार रेलगाड़ी में सुनकर हिंदू लोगों को थोड़ी चिंता सी होने लगी फिर भी रात्रि को हुए गया स्टेशन उतरे और एक धर्मशाला में जाकर रहे प्रातः काल गया वाले पुजारी पांडा जो यात्रियों को उठाने भोजन की व्यवस्था किया करता था आया और कहने लगा कि सभ्यतरी को प्रस्थान कर चुके हैं इसलिए अब आप भी शीघ्रता करें श्याम ने सहज ही से पूछा कि क्या गया में फ्लैग फैला है तब पुजारी ने कहा नहीं आप निर्मित मेरे यहां पधार करो वस्तु स्थिति को स्वयं अवलोकन कर लें तब वह उसके साथ उसके मकान पहुंचे उसका मकान क्या एक विशाल भव्य पर ठहराया गया जो उन्हें अत्यंत प्रिय लगा बाबा का एक बड़ा चित्र जो कि मकान के अग्रिम भाग के ठीक मध्य में लगा था देखकर वह अति प्रसन्न हो गए उनका हृदय भर आया और उन्होंने बाबा के शब्दों को इस स्मृति आई वह काशी और प्रज्ञा निकल जाने के पश्चात शर्मा से आगे ही पहुंच जाऊंगा सम की आंखों से आंसुओं की धारा बहने लगी और उसके शरीर से रोमांस को आया तथा कांत रुधिर गया और रोटी-रोटी उसकी वाइन बाद ही ए पुजारी ने श्याम की जो ऐसी स्थिति देखी तो उसने सोचा कि वह व्यक्ति प्ले की सूचना से भयभीत होकर रुद्रणाग कर रहा है परंतु सामान्य उसकी कल्पना के विपरीत ही प्रार्थना किया यह बाबा का चित्र तुमने कहा से मिला है उसने उत्तर दिया कि मेरे दो तीन सौ दलाल मनमाड और पुणे क्षेत्र में कार्य करते हैं तथा वह क्षेत्र से गया आने वाले यात्रियों की सुविधा विशेष ध्यान रख करते हैं जहां शिर्डी के साईं महाराज की कीर्तन मुझे सुनाई पड़ती है लगभग 12 वर्ष हुए मैंने स्वयं श्री जाकर बाबा के श्री दर्शन का लाभ उठाया था और वही सामा के घर में लगे हुए उसके चित्र में आकर्षित हुआ था तभी बाबा क्या-क्या में सहने जो चित्र मुझे भेंट किया था या वही चित्र है सम की पूर्व स्मृति जागृति हुई और जब गया वाले पुजारी हो यह ज्ञात हुआ कि यह वही श्याम है इन्हें मुझे इस चित्र द्वारा अनुग्रहित किया था और आज मेरे यहां अतिथि बनकर उठा रहे हैं तो उसके आनंद की सीमा ना रही दोनों बड़े प्रेम पूर्वक मिलकर हर्षित हुए फिर पुजारी ने श्याम का बादशाह ही ढंग से भाभी स्वागत किया हुआ एक धनी व्यक्ति था स्वयं डोली में और श्याम को हाथी पर बिठाकर खूब घुमाई तथा हर प्रकार से उसकी सुख सुविधा का ध्यान रखा इस कथा में सिद्ध कर दिया कि बाबा ने वचन सत्य निकले उनके अपने भक्तों पर कितना स्नेह था इसको तो छोड़ो वह तो सब प्राणियों पर एक साथ प्रेम किया करते थे और उन्हें अपने ही स्वरूप समझते हैं यह निम्नलिखित कथा से भी विदित हो जाएगा दो बकरे एक बार जब बाबा लाडी बाग से लौट रहे थे तो उन्होंने बकरों का एक जून आते देखा उनमें से दो बकरों ने उन्हें अपने और आकर्षित कर लिया बाबा ने जाकर प्रेम से उसकी सारी रात ने हाथ से थप थप आया और उन्हें 32 रुपए में खरीद लिया बाबा का यह विचित्र व्यवहार देखकर भक्तों को आश्चर्य हुआ और उन्होंने सोचा कि बाबा तो इस पौधे से ठगे गए हैं क्योंकि एक बकरे का मूल्य उसे समय तीन-चार रुपए से अधिक न था और वह दो बकरों अधिक से अधिक आठ रूपए में प्राप्त हो सकते थे उन्होंने बाबा को घोषणा आरंभ किया परंतु बाबा श्याम बैठे रहे तब सामान और तात्या में बकरा मूल लेने का कारण पूछा तो उन्होंने उत्तर दिया कि मेरे कोई कार्य स्त्री तो है नहीं जिसके लिए मुझे पैसे इकट्ठे करके रखते हैं फिर उन्होंने चार शेर दाल बाजार से मांग कर उन्होंने खिलाए जब उन्हें खिल-खिल चुके तो उन्होंने को ना उसके मालिक को बकरा लौटा दिए तब पश्चात ही उन्होंने बकरों के पूर्व जन्मों की कथा इस प्रकार सुनाई श्याम और तात्या तुम सोचते हो कि मैं इस सऊदी में ठहर गया हूं परंतु ऐसा नहीं इसकी गत कथा सुनेगा जन्मों मे दोनों सगे भाई थे और पहले इनमें परस्पर बहुत प्रेम था परंतु बाद में से एक दूसरे पर का डर शत्रु बन गए बड़ा भाई आलसी था किंतु छोटा भाई बहुत परेशानी था इन्हें पर्याप्त धन उपार्जन कर लिया था इसे बड़ा भाई अपने छोटे भाई से ही किया करता था इसलिए उन्हें छोटे भाई की हत्या करके उनका ध्यान धड़कने की ठानी और अपना आदमी या संबंध भूल कर वे एक दूसरे से बुरी तरह झगड़ने लगे बड़े भाई ने अनेक पर्याप्त न किया परंतु वह छोटे भाई की हत्या में असफल रहा तब वह एक दूसरे से प्राण खाता शत्रु बन गए एक दिन बड़े भाई ने छोटे भाई के सिर पर लाठी से प्रहार किया तब बदले में छोटे भाई ने भी बड़े भाई के सर कुल्हाड़ी चलाई और परिणाम स्वरुप वही दोनों की वृद्धि हो गई फिर उन्होंने कर्मों के अनुसार दोनों बकरे को जीवन को प्राप्त हुआ जैसे ही वह मेरे समीप से निकले तो मुझे उनके पूर्व इतिहास का स्मरण हो आया और मुझे दया आ गई इसलिए मैंने उन्हें कुछ खिलाने पिलाने तथा सुख देने का विचार किया यही कारण है कि मैं इसके लिए पैसे खर्च किए जो तुम्हें मांगे प्रतीत हुए हैं तुम लोग को यह लेनदेन अच्छा नहीं लगा इसलिए मैंने उन बकरों को उनका रेडियो को वापस कर दिया केवल मनुष्य ही नहीं सभी प्राणियों के लिए बाबा के हृदय में अपार प्रेम था श्री सद्गुरु साइन नाथ को प्रणाम सुभम भवति

Baba's Gaya Yatra, the story of the previous birth of goats. Still, if the devotees have faith in your holy feet, then you give them every experience. You have an unknown power of attraction and you draw the closest devotees and your masters and embrace them like a kind mother. O Sai, the devotees do not know where you live, but with what skill do you inspire them, as a result of which it starts to seem that your protective hand is on their head and it is the result of your kind glance that they always get unknown help. Under the influence of ego, even highly learned and clever men get stuck in the swamp of this world, but Sain, your hair, your power, hopes and sunrise devotion are able to get out of this swamp. You emerge from the curtain and protect him. Staying behind the curtain, you are the one who is doing all the justice. Still you act as if it has nothing to do with you. No one could know your complete life story. That is why it is accepted that we should come to the shelter of your feet with other feelings and keep remembering only your name to get freedom from your sins. You fulfill all the desires of your selfless devotees and make them attain supreme bliss. This chanting of your Madhu name is a very equal position for the devotees. By this Sadhana, the zodiac and tamasic guna will be involved in it and the seventh and religious guna will develop. Along with this, they will get wisdom, renunciation and knowledge respectively. Then they will also get blessings from the Guru by becoming selfless. And its other meaning is that one will surrender with a feeling of injustice towards the Guru. Its only definite result is that then our mind can become stable and restless. The mother of this color, speed, devotion and knowledge is unique because along with this, peace, renunciation, salvation etc. can also be easily attained. If Baba does not do anything to his devotees, then he always gets it at the right time. No matter where the devotee goes, if he is there, he reaches there in some form or the other. This is evident from the following story. The Gaya trip was a few days after getting acquainted with Baba. Kakasaheb Dixit decided to perform the Upanayana ceremony of his eldest son Bapu in Nagpur and almost at the same time Nana Saheb Chandolkar also planned to get his eldest son married in Gwalior. Both Dixit and Chandolkar came to Shirdi and lovingly invited Baba. Then he asked his representative Sharma to take him along. But when he requested Baba to personally attend, he replied that the Sama will reach Pathakgarh earlier after leaving Banaras and Pragya. Please keep these words in mind because these words indicate Baba's oratory. After taking Baba's permission, Baba decided to first go to Nagpur, Gwalior and then to Kashi, Prayag and Gaya to participate in these festivals. Papa agreed to go with Kot Shyam. First of all, both of them reached Nagpur to participate in the Upanayana ceremony. There Kaka Saheb Dixit told the Samachar to come. ₹200 were given for the expenses. The people from there went to Gwalior after attending the marriage. There Nanasaheb Ambedkar presented ₹100 and his relative Shri Yatharth also presented ₹100 to Sharma. Then Baba reached Samkashi where he was given a warm welcome in the grand temple of Lakshmi Narayan ji in Jathar. In Ayodhya, the Jathar community also gave a warm welcome to the Baba. Shyam and his grandson studied in Kashi Banaras for 21 days and then left for Gaya. On hearing the news of the plates being spread in the train, the Hindu people started getting a little worried. However, they got down at Gaya station at night and stayed in a dharamshala. In the morning, the priest of Gaya, Panda, who used to make arrangements for waking up the passengers and giving them food, came and said that the saints have left, so now you should also hurry up. Shyam casually asked whether the flag has been spread in Gaya. Then the priest said no. You should come to my place and observe the situation yourself. Then he went with him to his house. His house was a huge grand building which he liked very much. There was a big picture of Baba in it. Seeing that it was installed right in the middle of the front portion of the house he became very happy, his heart was filled with emotion and he remembered Baba's words that after leaving Kashi and Prajna, I will reach ahead of Sharma. Tears started flowing from Sam's eyes and his body started to tremble and blood started flowing and he started crying for food. When the priest saw Shyam in such a condition, he thought that the person is doing Rudranag out of fear of the news of the play, but contrary to his imagination he prayed, where did you get this picture of Baba from? He replied that two to three hundred of my agents work in Manmad and Pune area and they take special care of the convenience of the travelers coming to Gaya from that area where I can hear the kirtan of Sai Maharaj of Shirdi. About 12 years back I myself had gone to Gaya and took advantage of Baba's darshan and the same is installed in Sam's house.He was attracted to his picture. Then Baba's old memories of the picture which he had gifted me, or is it the same picture, awakened. When the priest of Gaya came to know that this is the same Shyam who had blessed me with this picture and today he is staying at my place as a guest, then his joy knew no bounds. Both of them were very happy to meet with love. Then the priest welcomed Shyam like a king. He was a rich man himself in a palanquin and took Shyam for a ride on an elephant and took care of his comfort in every way. This story proved that Baba's words were true. Leave aside how much love he had for his devotees, he used to love all the creatures together and considered them as his own form. This will also be known from the following story. Two goats: Once when Baba was returning from Ladi Bagh, he saw a herd of goats coming. Two of them attracted him towards them. Baba went and lovingly patted them with his hands and bought them for Rs. 32. The devotees were surprised to see this strange behavior of Baba. And they thought that Baba has been cheated by this plan because at that time the value of a goat was not more than three-four rupees and he could get two goats for eight rupees at the most. They started to make a declaration to Baba, but Baba Shyam remained seated. Then Baba Shyam asked the reason for buying the goat and Tatya to which he replied that I do not have any work for which I have to collect money. Then he asked four lions of pulses from the market and fed them to him. When they were done feeding him, he returned the goat to its owner. Only after that he narrated the story of the previous births of the goats in this manner - Shyam and Tatya, you think that I have stayed in this Saudi but it is not so, you will hear its story. In previous births, both were real brothers and earlier they loved each other a lot but later due to fear of each other they became enemies. The elder brother was lazy but the younger brother was very troubled. They had earned enough money. The elder brother used to love his younger brother only. So he decided to divert his attention by killing the younger brother. And forgetting their own people or relations, they started to love each other badly. The elder brother tried many things but he was unsuccessful in killing the younger brother. Then they became enemies of each other. One day the elder brother hit the younger brother on the head with a stick. In return the younger brother also hit the elder brother with an axe and as a result both of them died. Then both the goats got life back according to their deeds. As soon as they passed by me, I remembered their past history and I felt pity. So I thought of feeding them and giving them some happiness. That is why I spent money for this, which seems like a demand to you. You people did not like this transaction. So I returned their money to the goats.
