बेस वक्त मन्वंत्रण की कथा तथा श्रावणिक मन्वंतरण का संक्षिप्त परिचय

मारकंडे जी कहते हैं विश्वकर्मा की पुत्री संज्ञा भगवान सूर्य की पत्नी है उसके गर्व से बेस वक्त मनु का जन्म हुआ है जो विख्यात यह स्वस्ति और अनेक विषयों के ज्ञान के पारायण थे विश्वास के पुत्र होने के कारण ही हुए बेस वक्त कहलाते हैं जब भगवान सूर्य संज्ञा की ओर देखे तो हुए अपनी आंखें बंद कर लेती थी इससे रूस्ट होकर सूर्य ने संज्ञा से या निठुर वचन कहा और मूर्ख तूने मुझे देखकर सदा नेत्रों का संयम करती आंखों बंद लेती है इसलिए तेरे गर्व से प्राजजनों को संयम शासन में रखने वाले यह उत्पन्न होगा या सुनकर संज्ञा देवी भाई से व्याकुल हो उठी उसकी दृष्टि चंचल हो गई यह देखकर सूर्य ने फिर कहा तुमने इस समय मुझे देखकर अपनी दृष्टि चंचल की है इसलिए चंचल लहरों से युक्त नदी तेरी कन्या के रूप में उत्पन्न होगी तदांतर पति के श्राप से संज्ञा में एक पुत्र और पुत्री को जन्म दिया पुत्र का नाम यह हुआ और पुत्री का नाम यमुना नाम से विख्यात महानदी हुई संध्या सूर्य के तेज को बड़े कष्ट से सहन करती थी वह उसके लिए असह्य था उसने सोचा किया करूं कहां जाऊं कहां जाने से मुझे शांति मिलेगी और मेरे स्वामी मुझ पर कुपित भी नहीं होंगे इस तरह अनेक प्रकार से विचार करके प्रजापति कुमारी संज्ञा में पिता के घर का आश्रय लेना ही ठीक समझा वहां जाने के लिए उत्तम होकर उसने अपने छाया को ही सूर्य देव की पत्नी बनाया और उसने कहा तू इस घर में र और मेरी ही तरह सब संतानों तथा भगवान सूर्य की प्रति भी उत्तम बर्ताव करना यूं कह कर संज्ञा देवी अपने पिता के घर चली गई वहां उन्होंने तत्पृष्ट प्रजापति का दर्शन किया उन्होंने बड़ी आधार के साथ पुत्री का स्वागत सत्कार किया हुए कुछ कल तक वही रही इसके बाद पिता ने उन्हें प्रेम पूर्वक समझाते हुए कहा बेटी तुम तीनों लोक के स्वामी भगवान सूर्य की पत्नी हुआ था तुम्हें अधिक समय तक पिता के घर में नहीं ठहरता चाहिए अब तुम स्वामी के घर जाओ मैं तुम पर बहुत प्रसन्न हूं पिता के यूं कहने पर संज्ञा में बहुत अच्छा कह कर उसकी आज्ञा स्वीकार की और उन्हें प्रणाम करके वहां से चली गई वह सूर्य के तेज से बहुत डरती थी और उनके तप का सामान ना करना नहीं चाहती थी इसलिए उत्तर पूर्व में जाकर थोड़ी घोड़ी के रूप में सने और तपस्या करने लगी उधर छाया संज्ञा को ही संज्ञा समझ कर भगवान सूर्य ने उस से दो पुत्र और एक मनोहर कन्या उत्पन्न किया छाया संज्ञा अपनी संतानों को जितना प्यार करती थी उतना संज्ञा के पुत्र पुत्री को नहीं मनु तो उसके है वार्ताओं को सह लेते थे किंतु यह से सहन नहीं हुआ उन्होंने क्रोध में आकर उसे करने के लिए लात उठाई किंतु फिर क्षमा भाव का आश्रय ले उसके शरीर पर लात नहीं लगे तब छाया संज्ञा से कुपित हो यह को श्राप दिया मैं तुम्हारे पिता की पत्नी हूं किंतु तुम मर्यादा का उल्लंघन करके मुझे करने के लिए लात उठा रहे हो इसलिए तुम्हारा यह पर आज ही पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ेगा माता का दिया हुआ शराब सुनकर यह भाई से व्याकुल हो उठे और अपने पिता के पास जा उन्हें प्रणाम करके बोल पिताजी यह तो बड़े आश्रय की बात है ऐसा तो कभी किसी ने भी नहीं देखा होगा की माता वात्सल्य छोड़कर अपने पुत्र को श्राप दे पड़े दुर्गानी पुत्रों की प्रति भी माता का दुर्वासा नहीं होता यमराज की यह बात सुनकर भगवान सूर्य ने छाया संज्ञा को बुलाकर पूछा संज्ञा कहां गई वह बोली नाथ माही तो त्वचा चेस्ट प्रजापति की कन्या और आपकी पत्नी संज्ञा हूं अपनी मुझे से ही यह संतान उत्पन्न किए हैं सूर्य ने कई बार घुमा फिरा कर पूछा किंतु उसने सच्ची बात नहीं मतलब सूर्य देव उसे श्राप देने को उदित हुए यह देखकर उसने सब बातें ठीक-ठाक बता दी असली बात का पता लगाने पर भगवान सूर्य को स्पर्म के घर चले गए विश्वकर्मा ने अपने घर पधारे हुए त्रिलोक पूजित सूर्य देव का बड़ी भक्ति के साथ पूजन किया फिर संज्ञा का पता पूछने पर उन्होंने कहा भगवान वह मेरे घर पर आई हुई आवश्यक थी किंतु मैं मैं पुणे उसे आपके ही घर भेज दिया तब सूर्य ने समाधि आस्था होकर देखा हुआ घोड़ी रूप धारण उत्तर पूर्व देश में तपस्या कर रही है उसकी तपस्या का एक ही उद्देश्य है मेरे स्वामी की आकृति सौभाग्य एवं शुभ हो गया सूर्य को उसकी तपस्या का उद्देश्य ज्ञात हो गया अत उन्होंने विश्वकर्मा से कहा आप मेरे तेज को झाड़ दीजिए तब उन्होंने सर्वोत्तम स्वरूप चक्र वाले सूर्य के तेज को छोड़ दिया उसे समय देवताओं ने उनकी बड़ी प्रशंसा की तदांतर देवताओं और ऋषियों ने संपूर्ण त्रिभुवन की पूजनीय भगवान सूर्य का इस्तेमाल आरंभ किया देव उच्या नमस्ते स्रावित समझ पाए थे नमः यजू स्वरूपाय समीक्षा धमवाते नमः नमः देवता बोले भगवान ऋषि वेद स्वरूप आपको नमस्कार है सामवेद रूप आपको प्रणाम है यातुर वेद रूप आपको नमस्कार है आप ही समस्त समूह के अधिष्ठान है आपको प्रणाम है आप ज्ञान की एकमात्र आधार एवं अंधकार का नाश करने वाले हैं आपको नमस्कार है आपका स्वरूप शुद्ध ज्योतिर्मय है आप स्वभाव से ही परम शुद्ध एवं निर्मलता है आपको प्रणाम है आप सबसे महान सर्वश्रेष्ठ सबसे परे और साक्षात परमात्मा है आपका स्वरूप संपूर्ण जगत में व्यापक है आप सबके आत्म रूप है आपको नमस्कार है आपकी सब की उत्पत्ति के कारण ज्ञान का चिंतन करने वाले पुरुषों के प्राप्त आध्या ए की स्थान सूर्य स्वरूप तथा प्रकाश माता स्वरूप है आपको नमस्कार प्रभाव का विस्तार करने वाले आपको नमस्कार है दिन की सृष्टि करने वाले आपको प्रणाम है रात्रि के हेतु भी आप ही तथा संज्ञा और जानने की सृष्टि भी आप ही करते हैं आपको नमस्कार है कदम सर्व मेट बहुत भगवान जगदीश बहते तस्य भरता ब्राह्मण सर्व आश्रम सद्गुरु शाम इस प्रताप सर्वे सत्यम शुद्ध क्रियायाम कृपा ससोली चाम पवित्रता हम आदि को धर्म दोपहर आए जाता रघुवंत्रण सहयोगी जाति तथा भगवान आप ही संपूर्ण जगत है आप में ही कर आचार प्राणियों सहित समस्त ब्रह्मांड हॉट क्रोध है आती हो उड़ा लोक में जब आप भ्रमण करते हैं तो आपके साथ ही या ब्रह्मांड भी घूमता है आपकी करने का स्पर्श पाकर ही संपूर्ण वस्तुएं पवित्र होती है आपकी किरण ही अपने इस वर्ष से जल आदि को पवित्र करते हैं जब तक इस जगत में आपकी दिव्य राशियों का सहयोग नहीं होता तब तक छाया आत्मा प्रसिद्ध धाम इस नेता रूपम तेजस्वी सनम पूर्व ऋग्वेद की यह संपूर्ण इच्छाएं पूरी दूरी हो या दुर्वेद के सब मंत्र तथा सामवेद की संपूर्ण सिद्धियां आपकी ही अनुष्ट प्रकट होती है जगन्नाथ तप ऋग्वेद में है आप ही जोग वेद में है तथा आप ही सामवेद माय है नात इस प्रकार आप प्रिया में यह तीनों वेद आपके ही स्वरुप है आप ही ब्रह्मा के पर और अपार रूप है वित्त अमृत स्थल तथा सूक्ष्म सभी रूपों में आपकी स्थिति है इस श्वेत कास्ट आदि जो कल के छोटे-छोटे विभाग हैं वह सब आपके ही स्वरुप है आप ही छाया आत्मा प्रतिक्षण बीट लाने वाला कल रूप है भगवान आप प्रसन्न हुए और आपकी इच्छा से ही अपने प्रचुर तेज को शांत कीजिए मारकंडे जी कहते हैं देवताओं और देव ऋषियों के इस प्रकार स्तुति करने पर तेजो राशि अविनाशी भगवान सूर्य ने विश्वकर्मा के द्वारा अपने देश को काम किया कर दिया उनका जो ऋग्वेद माय तेज था उसे पृथ्वी का निर्माण हुआ यजुर्वेद में देश से भूगोलक की रचना हुई और सामवेद में तेज ही स्वर्ग वालों के रूप में प्रतिष्ठित हुआ विश्वकर्मा में सूर्य के तेज से 16 भागों में से 15 भाग छठा दिए और उसके द्वारा शंकर जी का त्रिशूल भगवान विष्णु चक्र वासु गानों के भाई शंकर अग्नि की शक्ति कुबेर किसी भी का तथा न्याय देवता यश एवं विधियों धारों के लिए भयंकर अस्त्र शस्त्र बनाएं भगवान सूर्य ताप से अपने तेज के 16 में भाव को धारण करते हैं तेज कम होने के बाद में अश्व का रूप धारण करके उत्तर पूर्व नमक देश में गए और वहां उन्होंने घोड़ी के रूप में संज्ञा को देखा उन्हें आते देख संज्ञा को पर आए पुरुष की आशकादा हुई इसलिए वह अपने पृष्ठ भाग्य रक्षा करते हुए सामने की ओर से उनके समझ गई फिर वहां उनके मिलने पर पहले दोनों नासिक का सहयोग हुआ इससे अश्वनी संज्ञा के मुख से दो पुत्र प्रकट हुए और अत्यंत तक छपने से प्रसिद्ध हुआ फिर वयात के अन्य आचार्यवत नामक एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ जो ढाल तलवार और कवच धारण कीजिए बाढ़ और तरकश से सुसज्जित हो घोड़े पर चढ़ा हुआ ही प्रकट हुआ है तत्पश्चात् भगवान सूर्य ने संज्ञा को अपने अनूप स्वरूप का धारण कराया उनके इस रूप को देखकर संज्ञा को बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई फिर उसने भी अपना रूप धारण कर लिया तब सूर्य देव अपनी प्रतिमति पत्नी संज्ञा को साथ ले अपने निवास स्थान पर आए भगवान सूर्य के जो प्रथम पुत्र थे उनकी वे स्वस्थ नाम से प्रसिद्ध थी हुई दूसरे पुत्र का नाम लिया था कि माता के श्राप से ग्रसित थे पिता नीम के शराब का अंत किस प्रकार किया था कीड़े यह के पैर का मांस लेकर पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े फिर उनका भी पार्टी ठीक हो गया जाएगा पीएम धर्म पर दृष्टि रखते थे और मित्र तथा शत्रु के प्रति उनका सम्मान भाव था अतः सूर्य प्राजों के धर्म धर्म का फल देने के लिए उन्हें यमराज के पद पर प्रतिष्ठित किया या मुंडा काली हिंद पर्वत के बीच में बहने वाली नदी हो गई दोनों वासवानी को मार देवताओं के वेतन नियुक्ति किए गए रेवत को भी गुहाओं की स्वामी बन गय आप छाया संज्ञा के पुत्रों की जहां नियुक्ति हुई उनका हाल सुनो छाया संज्ञा के श्रेष्ठ पुत्र का वर्ण रूप स्वरूप रंग में स्वस्थ होने के ही समान था आता हुए स्वामित्व नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए हुए ही आठवीं मनु होंगे उसे समय राजा बलि इंद्र के पद पर प्रतिष्ठित रहेगा छाया के दूसरे पुत्र शनिचर को पिता ने ग्रहण के माध्यमिक नियुक्ति किया तीसरी संतान ताप्ती नाम की कन्या थी उसने राजा श्रवण को अपना स्वामी बनाया उसने गुरु नामक पुत्र को जन्म दिया यह गुरु एक प्रसिद्ध राजा हुए बेस वक्त मन्वंतरण में आठ देवगढ़ माने गए हैं उनके नाम इस प्रकार है आदित्य वसूल रूद्र संध्य विश्व देव मारुति ब्रिंग तथा हरियाणा इसमें अतिथि गण का मर्द गांड तथा रूद्र ग्रहण का सभी जी के पुत्र है संध्यगढ़ वसुगन और विश्व देवगन यह धर्म के पुत्र है भृंगरण के अदृश्य राजगढ़ महर्षि अदृश्य के पुत्र ब्राह्मण यह सब मस्जिद संघ है मस्जिद नंदन कश्यप की संतान होने के कारण इन्हें मार्जित कहते हैं इस मनोरंजन में जो इंदिरा है उनका नाम ऊर्जा सवारिया है यह मातम यज्ञ भाग्य भोक्ता है भूत भविष्य और वर्तमान में जो इंद्र होते हैं उन सब का लक्षण एक सा ही समझना चाहिए अब वर्तमान त्रिलोकी का वर्णन सुनो तो यह पृथ्वी है आंतरिक चक्रवर्ती एवं फूलों में माना गया हर दिव्य लोक को सर्वाधिक कहते हैं अतीत वशिष्ठ कश्यप गौतम भारद्वाज विश्वामित्र का जब दीप यही इस मंत्र के सत्तरिक है इस राहु मृतक समय नियंत्रण का बुक आश्रित करूं और कविता के नाम में इस वक्त मनु के पुत्र कह गए हैं इस प्रकार मैं तुमसे यह इस वक्त मनोरंजन का वर्णन किया है इसका श्रवण और पाठ करने से मनुष्य सब पापों से छूट जाता और महान पुण्य का भाग होता है कौशिक बोले महामुनि अपने इस अनुभव आदि साथ मनुओं का वर्णन किया तथा उनके नियंत्रण में जो देवता राजा और मनी हुए थे उनको भी बतलाया इस कप में जो दूसरे साथ मनु होंगे उनका परिचय कीजिए तथा उनके मन्वंतरण में जो देवता आदि होने वाले हैं उनका भी वर्णन कीजिए मारकंडे जी ने कहा ब्राह्मण छाया संज्ञा के पुत्र श्रावणिक नाम मैं तुम्हें बतलाता चुका हूं कोई सब बातों में अपने बड़े भाई देश वक्त मनु के ही समान है वही आठवी मनु होंगे परसों राम व्यास गालवस धरती मां की त्रिवेणी तथा अश्वत्थामा यह साथ श्रमिक मन्वंतरण में सप्त ऋषि होंगे सिद्धार्थ अमिताभ और मुख्य यह तीन देवगढ़ होंगे इनमें से प्रत्येक कर पृथक पृथक 20-20 देवताओं का समुदाय होगा तपसित शुक्ला गुरुत्व ज्योत प्रभाव प्रभाव से अतीत धर्म तेज राशि तथा विश्व आदि देवता सब प्राण की विश्व देव धागा के अंतर्गत प्रभु विश्व और विश्व स्वास्थ्य साठी देवता अमिताभ नमक द्वितीय हजार के बीच देवताओं के अंतर्गत है तीसरे घर में जो 20 देवता है उन्हें दम दांत प्रीत सोम और विविध आदि कम प्रधान के मुख्य ज्ञान देवता कह गए हैं यह सब मधुमितरण के इस भूमि होंगे की मर्जी जानंददान प्रजापति कश्यप के ही पुत्र है की रचना के पुत्र बल्कि इनके इंदिरा होंगे वह वाली आज भी अपने प्रतिज्ञा के बंधन से बांधकर पाताल लोक में विराजमान है विराज अधिवर निर्मित तथा विष्णु आदि सैटरडे मनु के पुत्र होंगे

Markandeya says that Sanjna, the daughter of Vishwakarma, is the wife of Lord Surya. From her pride, the Base Vakt Manu was born. He was renowned for his wealth and knowledge of various subjects. Being the son of Vishwakarma, he is called Base Vakt. When Lord Surya looked at Sanjna, she would close her eyes. Angered by this, Surya said to Sanjna, "Fool, you always restrain your eyes when you see me. Therefore, due to your pride, a person who will keep his children under restraint will be born." Hearing this, Sanjna Devi became distraught and her gaze became restless. Seeing this, Surya again said, "You have made your gaze restless by looking at me at this time, therefore, a river with restless waves will be born as your daughter." Subsequently, due to her husband's curse, Sanjna gave birth to a son and a daughter. The son's name was Sanjna, and the daughter's name was Yamuna, the famous Mahanadi. Sanjna endured the Sun's radiance with great difficulty, and it was unbearable for her. She thought where should she go, where would she find peace and her husband would not be angry with her. After thinking in many ways, she thought it best to take shelter in the house of Prajapati Kumari Sanjna, the daughter of her father. To go there, she made her shadow the wife of Surya Dev and said, "You live in this house and behave well with all the children and Lord Surya like me." Saying this, Sanjna Devi went to her father's house. There she met Prajapati, who welcomed her daughter with great love and stayed there for some time. After this, her father lovingly explained to her, "Daughter, you were the wife of Lord Surya, the lord of the three worlds. You should not stay in your father's house for long. Now you should go to your husband's house. I am very happy with you." On hearing this from her father, Sanjna accepted his order saying, "Very good." After paying obeisance to him, she left from there. She was very afraid of Surya's brightness and did not want to face his penance. Therefore, she went to the north-east and took a little bath in the form of a mare and started doing penance. There, Chhaya Sanjna also became known as Sanjna. Understanding this, Lord Surya gave birth to two sons and a beautiful daughter from her. Chhaya Sangya loved her children more than Sangya's sons and daughters. Manu used to tolerate her words but could not tolerate this. He got angry and raised his kick to hit her but then taking shelter of forgiveness, the kick did not hit his body. Then getting angry with Chhaya Sangya, he cursed her saying, "I am your father's wife but you are violating the decorum and raising your kick to hit me, therefore your leg will fall on the earth today itself." Hearing the wine given by the mother, Sangya became upset with his brother and went to his father and bowed to him and said, "Father, this is a matter of great help. No one would have ever seen that a mother leaves her love and curses her son. Even a mother does not have Durvasa for her sons." Hearing this from Yamraj, Lord Surya called Chhaya Sangya and asked where Sangya had gone. She said, "Nath Mahi is the daughter of the skinless Prajapati and your wife Sangya. You have given birth to this child from me." Surya asked in a roundabout way many times but she told the truth. No, it means that the Sun God rose to curse him, seeing this he told everything correctly. On finding out the real thing, Lord Surya went to Sperm's house. Vishwakarma worshipped the Trilok-worshipped Sun God who had come to his house with great devotion. Then on asking for the whereabouts of Sanjna, he said, Lord, she had come to my house, but I sent her to your house only. Then Surya, in deep meditation, saw that she was doing penance in the north-east country in the form of a mare. The only purpose of her penance is to make the form of my lord good and auspicious. Surya came to know the purpose of her penance, so he said to Vishwakarma, please shake off my radiance. Then he released the radiance of Surya, who has the best form, Chakra. At that time the gods praised him a lot. Thereafter the gods and sages started using Lord Surya, who is worshipped in the entire Tribhuvan. The gods were able to understand the secret of Uchya Namaste. Namah Yaju Swarupaya Sameeksha Dhamavate Namah. The gods said, salutations to you in the form of Lord Rishi Veda, I salute you in the form of Samveda, I salute you in the form of Yaatur Veda. Vishwakarma gave 15 parts out of 16 parts of Surya's radiance and through that he made Shankar ji's trident, Lord Vishnu's Chakra, Vasu, brother of the gods, Shankar, the power of Agni, Kubera, the god of justice, fame and fierce weapons for the laws and streams. Lord Surya holds 16th of his radiance from the heat. After his radiance reduced, he assumed the form of a horse and went to the North-East Salt country and there he saw Sanjna in the form of a mare. Seeing him coming, Sanjna became suspicious of a man, so protecting her back, she understood him from the front. Then when they met there, first both Nashik helped and because of this Two sons appeared from the mouth of Ashwani Sanjna and became famous by being published till the end. Then another son named Acharyavat was born to Vyat, who appeared riding on a horse, equipped with shield, sword, armor, quiver and sword. Thereafter, Lord Surya made Sanjna assume his unique form. Seeing this form, Sanjna was very happy and he also assumed his form. Then Surya Dev took his perfect wife Sanjna with him to his abode. The first son of Lord Surya was famous by the name Swasth.
