देवी चरित्र के पाठ का महत्व

मैं तीन नेत्रों वाली दुर्गा देवी का ध्यान करता हूं उनके श्री आरो की प्रभा बिजली के समान है वह सिंह के कंधे पर बैठे हुए भयंकर प्रतीत होते हैं हाथों में तलवार ढाल लिए अनेक का न्याय उनकी सेवा में खड़ी है वह अपने हाथों में चक रखा था तलवार ढाल बढ़ धनुष पास और तर्जनी मुद्रिका धारण किए हुए हैं उनका स्वरूप एंग्री मी है तथा हुए माथे पर चंद्रमा का मुकुट धारण करती है देवी बोली देवताओं जो एक आगरा जीत होकर प्रतिदिन इस स्त्रियों से मेरा स्थान हुआ करेगा उसकी सारी बधाई निश्चय ही दूर कर दूंगा जो मधु वेक्टर नमक महिषासुर का वह तथा शंभू की शंभू के संघार के प्रसन्न का पाठ करेगा तथा आठवीं चतुर्दशी और नवि को भेजो एकाग्रचित होकर भक्तिपूर्वक मेरे उत्तम महत्व का श्रवण करेगा उन्हें कोई पाप नहीं छू सकेगा उन पर पाप जीत और आपत्ति भी नहीं आएगी उनके घर में कभी दरिद्र नहीं होगा तथा उनको कभी प्रेमी जनों के बिछड़ने का कष्ट भी नहीं भोगना पड़ेगा इतना ही नहीं उन्हें शत्रु से लुटेरों से राजा से शास्त्र से अग्नि से तथा जल की राशि से भी कभी भाई नहीं होगा इसके लिए सबको एकाग्रचित होकर भक्ति पूर्वक मेरे इस महात्मा को सदा पठान और पढ़ना और सुनना चाहिए या परम कल्याण कारक है मेरा महत्व महामारी जनित समस्त उपद्रव तथा आध्यात्मिक आदि तीनों प्रकार के उत्पाद को शांत करने वाला है मेरे जी मंदिर से प्रतिदिन विधिपूर्वक मेरे इस महत्व का पाठ किया जाता है उसे स्थान को मैं कभी नहीं छोड़ता वह सदा ही मेरा सानिध्य बना रहता है बलिदान पूजा हम तथा महोत्सव के अवसरों पर मेरे इस चरित्र का पूरा-पूरा पाठ और श्रवण करना चाहिए ऐसा करने पर मनुष्य विधि को जानकर बिना जान भी मेरे लिए जो बली पूजा या हम आदि करेगा उसे मैं बड़ी प्रसन्नता के साथ ग्रहण करूंगी सरकार में जो वार्षिक मा पूजा की जाती है उसे अवसर पर जो मेरे इस महत्व को भक्ति पूर्वक सुनेगा वह मनुष्य मेरे प्रसाद से सब बंधनों से मुक्त तथा धन-धन एवं पुत्र से संपन्न होगा इसे तनिक भी संदेह नहीं है मेरा यह महत्व और प्रदूषणों की सुंदर कथाएं तथा युद्ध में किए हुए मेरे पराक्रम सुनने से मनुष्य निर्भय हो जाता है मेरे महत्व का श्रवण करने वाले पुरुषों के शत्रु नष्ट हो जाते हैं उन्हें कल्याण की प्राप्ति होती है तथा उनका कुल आनंदित रहता है सर्वाधिक शांति कर्म कर्म में बुरे सपना दिखाई देने पर तथा गृह जनित भयंकर पीड़ा उपस्थित होने पर मेरा महत्व श्रवण करना चाहिए इससे सब विग्रह तथा भयंकर ग्रह पीड़ा शांत हो जाती है और मनुष्य द्वारा देखा हुआ दुख सपना शुभ स्वप्न में परिवर्तित हो जाता है बाल गृह में आकांत हुए बालकों के लिए यह महत्व शांति का कारक है तथा मनुष्य के संगठन में फूट होने पर यह अच्छी प्रकार की मित्रता करने वाला होता है यह महत्व समस्त दुराचारियों का बाल का नाश करने वाला है इसके पाठ मंत्र से राक्षसों भूतों और की शास्त्रों का नाश हो जाता है मेरा यह सब महत्व मेरे समीप की प्राप्ति करने वाला है पशु पुष्पा अर्थ धूप दीप गधा आदि उत्तम सामग्रियों द्वारा पूजन करने से ब्राह्मणों को भोजन करने से हम करने से प्रतिदिन अभिषेक करने से नाना प्रकार के अन्य लोगों का अर्पण करने से तथा दान देने आदि से एक वर्ष तक जो मेरी आराधना की जाती है उससे मुझे जितनी प्रसन्नता होती है उतनी प्रसन्नता मेरे इस उत्तम चरित्र का एक बार श्रवण करने मात्र से हो जाती है यह महत्व श्रवण करने पापों का हर लेता और आरोग्य प्रदान करता है मेरे प्रदोष भाव का कीर्तन समर्थ भूतों से रक्षा करता है तथा मेरे युद्ध विशेषज्ञ चरित्र दुष्ट देवताओं का संघर्ष करने वाला है इसके श्रवण करने पर मनुष्यों को शत्रुओं का भाई नहीं रहता देवताओं तुमने और ब्रह्म हर ऋषियों ने जो मेरी स्तुति की है तथा ब्रह्मा जी ने जो स्तुति की है वह सभी कल्याण में बुद्धि प्रदान करती है वन में सुन मार्ग में अथवा नल से धीरे जाने पर निर्जन स्थान में लुटेरों के गांव में पड़ जाने पर या शत्रुओं से पकड़े जाने पर अथवा जंगल में सिंह बिहार तथा जंगली हाथियों के पीछा करने पर उपित राजा के आदेश सेवत तथा बंधन से स्थान में ले जाने पर अथवा महासागर में नाव पर बैठने के बाद भारी तूफान से नाव के डगमगा होने पर और अत्यंत भयंकर युद्ध में शास्त्रों का प्रहार होने पर अथवा वेदनों से पीड़ित होने पर की भगवान सभी भयानक बंधनों से उपस्थित होने पर जो मेरे इस चरित्र का स्मरण करता है वह मनुष्य संकट से मुक्त हो जाता है मेरे भाव से सिंह आदि हिंसक जंतु नष्ट हो जाते हैं तथा लुटेरे और शत्रु भी मेरे चरित्र का स्मरण करने वाले पुरुष से दूर भागते हैं ऋषि कहते हैं यूं कह कर प्रचंड पराक्रम वाली भगवती चंडिका सब देवताओं के देखते-देखते वही अंतर ध्यान हो गई फिर समस्त देवता भी शत्रुओं के मारे जाने से निर्भय हो पहले की यह भांति यज्ञ भंग का उपभोग करते हुए अपने अपने अधिकार का पालन करने लगे संसार का विंध्वस्वर करने वाले महा भयंकर अटल बाल पराक्रमी देव शत्रु शुभ तथा महाबली निशु के युद्ध में देवी द्वारा मारे जाने पर शेष दैत्य पाताल लोक में चले गए राजन इस प्रकार भगवती अंबिका देवी नित्य होती हुई पुन पुन प्रकट होकर जगत की रक्षा करती है वही इस विश्व को मोहित करती है हुए ही जगत को जन्म देती तथा वह ही प्रार्थना करने पर संतुष्ट हो विज्ञान एवं समृद्ध प्रदान करती है राजा महा प्रलय के समय महामारी का स्वरूप धारण करने वाली हुए महाकाली की इस बात ब्रह्मांड में व्याप्त है हुए ही समय-समय पर महामारी होती और वह ही स्वयं भजन मां होते हुए भी सृष्टि के रूप में प्रकट होती है हुए सनातनी देवी ही समय अनुसार संपूर्ण भूतों की रक्षा करती है मनुष्य के अभ्युदय के समय ही वह घर में लक्ष्मी के रूप में स्थित हो उत्पत्ति प्रदान करती है वह ही अभाव के समय दरिद्रता बनाकर विनाश का कारण होती है पुष्प धूप और गंध आदि से पूजन करके उसकी स्तुति करने पर हुए धन पुत्र धार्मिक बुद्धि तथा उत्तम गति प्रदान करती है इति श्री मार्कंडेय पुराने सर्वत्र मन्वंत्रण देवी माता फाल प्रसिद्ध द्वादश

Importance of the Reciting of the Divine Charitra

I meditate on the three-eyed Goddess Durga. The radiance of her eyes is like lightning. She appears fierce, seated on the shoulder of a lion. With a sword and shield in her hands, she stands at the service of the judge of many. She holds a sword, shield, bow, and index finger, holding a ring. Her form is angry, and she wears a crescent moon crown on her forehead. The Goddess said, "Gods, I will surely remove all the troubles from anyone who conquers this world and establishes my position before these women daily. Whoever recites the mantras of the destruction of Mahishasura and Lord Shiva, and who listens to my supreme glory with devotion and concentration on the eighth, Chaturdashi, and the ninth day, will be blessed with no sin. Sin will not overcome them, nor will any calamity befall them. Poverty will never befall their homes, and they will never suffer the pain of separation from their loved ones. Not only this, they will never be harmed by enemies, robbers, kings, scriptures, fire, or even the water bodies. For this, everyone should practice devotion with concentration. This great hymn of mine should always be recited, read, and listened to. It is the ultimate benefactor. My hymn calms all three types of problems, including epidemics and spiritual problems. If this hymn of mine is recited daily in my temple, I never leave that place; I always remain in my presence. On the occasions of sacrifices, pujas, and festivals, this hymn of mine should be recited and listened to in full. By doing so, even if a person knows the method and does not know the method, I will accept with great pleasure any sacrifice or hymn performed for me. On the occasion of the annual Maa Puja performed in the government, whoever listens to this hymn of mine with devotion will be freed from all bondages and blessed with wealth and sons by my grace. There is no doubt about this. Hearing this hymn of mine, the beautiful stories of the plagues and my exploits in battle, makes a person fearless. The enemies of those who listen to my hymn are destroyed, they attain well-being, and their families remain happy. One should listen to my hymn when having a bad dream during the most peaceful work or when experiencing severe domestic suffering. With this, all the conflicts and terrible planetary troubles are pacified and the sad dreams seen by a person are transformed into auspicious dreams. This Prabhram is a cause of peace for children secluded in children's homes and in case of division in human organization, it becomes a good friend. This Prabhram is the destroyer of all the evildoers. By reciting its mantra, demons, ghosts and scriptures are destroyed. All this Prabhram of mine brings one closer to me. By worshipping with the best materials like animals, flowers, incense, lamps, donkeys etc., by feeding Brahmins, by performing Abhishekam daily, by offering various types of offerings to other people and by giving donations etc., the amount of happiness I get from worshipping me for a year, that much happiness is obtained by just listening to this excellent character of mine once. Listening to this Prabhram takes away sins and provides health. Chanting of my Pradosh Bhaav protects from powerful ghosts and my war expert character fights the evil gods. By listening to this, enemies no longer remain friends for humans. Gods, you and Brahma Har The praises sung by the sages and by Lord Brahma bestow wisdom for all welfare. In the forest, on a quiet path or on a slow path, in a deserted place, when one stumbles upon a village of robbers, or when one is caught by enemies, or when lions and wild elephants chase one in the forest, or when one is taken to a place by the order of King Upita and tied up, or when one is sitting in a boat in the ocean and the boat is shaken by a heavy storm, or when attacked by weapons in a fierce battle, or when one is suffering from pain, or when the Lord is present from all the terrible bonds, the person who remembers this character of mine becomes free from trouble. By my devotion, violent animals like lions etc. get destroyed, and robbers and enemies also run away from the person who remembers my character. The sages say that saying this, Goddess Chandika of immense valor went into deep meditation in front of all the gods. Then, all the gods, fearless of the killing of the enemies, continued enjoying the sacrificial fire in the same manner as before. They started exercising their rights. The great fearsome, steadfast, child, powerful Dev Shatru Shubh, who destroyed the world, and the mighty Nishu, when killed by the Goddess in the war, the remaining demons went to the netherworld. Rajan, in this way, Bhagwati Ambika Devi, appearing again and again, protects the world. She is the one who captivates this world and gives birth to the world and on being pleased with prayers, she provides knowledge and prosperity. Rajan, the fact that Mahakali took the form of epidemic at the time of great deluge is prevalent in the universe. From time to time, epidemics occur and she herself, despite being the Bhajan Maa, appears in the form of creation. It is the Sanatani Devi who protects all beings according to the time. At the time of human progress, she resides in the house in the form of Lakshmi and provides creation. At the time of scarcity, she is the cause of destruction by creating poverty.
