दिष्ट पुत्र नाभाग का चरित्र

मारकंडे जी कहते हैं इस राहु नाम भाग लिस्ट ना भाग पृष्ठ और घृत एक बेस वक्त मानव के पुत्र थे जो पृथक पृथक राज के पलक हुए इन सब की कृतार्थ बहुत दूर तक फैली हुई थी और वह सभी शस्त्र विद्या तथा शास्त्र विद्या में भी पारायण द बुद्धिमानों ने श्रेष्ठ मनु के एक श्रेष्ठ पुत्र प्राप्त करने की इच्छा से मित्र वरुण नमक यज्ञ किया उसमें होता के दोस्त से विपरीत आहुति पढ़ने के कारण पुत्र न होकर इला नमक की सुंदरी कन्या उत्पन्न हुई कन्या उत्पन्न हुए देख मनु मित्र वरुण का इतना हॉट किया तथा इस समय इस प्रकार कहा देरवारों मैं इस उद्देश्य से यज्ञ किया था कि आप दोनों की कृपा से मुझे एक विशिष्ट पुत्र की प्राप्ति हो किंतु यह के संपन्न होने पर कन्या जन्म हुआ यदि आप दोनों प्रसन्न है और मुझे और देना चाहते हैं तो मेरा यह कन्या की आप दोनों के प्रसाद से अत्यंत गुणवान पुत्र हो जाए उन दोनों देवताओं ने तथास्तु कहा जिससे वह कन्या इला तत्काल ही सुमंत नामक पुत्र के रूप में परिवर्तित हो गई मनु कुमार शुरुआत रखें एक दिन वन में शिकार खेल रहे थे वहां महादेव जी के कोख से उन्हें पुनः स्त्री रूप में हो जाना पड़ा उसे समय चंद्रमा के पुत्र बुद्ध ने इलाके गर्व से प्रूव नमक चक्रवर्ती पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ किया पुत्र हो जाने के बाद राजा दो मुक्त ने अश्वमेध नामक महान यज्ञ करके पुणे पुरुष रूप प्राप्त कर लिया सुमेर के तीन पुत्र हुए जो उत्कल बिना और गाय के नाम से प्रसिद्ध थे उन्होंने धर्म में मन लगाकर इस पृथ्वी का पालन किया राजा सुमावत का जब स्त्री के रूप में थे तब उनके गर्भ से प्रूव का जन्म हुआ पुरुष हुआ भूत के पुत्र थे इसलिए उन्हें सुमाऊ के राज्य का भाग नहीं मिला दादा अंतर वशिष्ठ जी के कहने से पुरुषों को प्रतिष्ठान नमक उत्तम नगर दे दिया गया लिस्ट नाम के एक राजा थे जिनके पुत्र का नाम ना भाग था जीवन के आरंभ में ही उसकी दृष्टि एक वैश्य कन्या पर पड़ी जो बहुत ही सुंदरी थी उसको देखते ही ना भाग का मन काम के अधीन हो गया उनकी उसने उसके पिता के पास जाकर वह कन्या मांगी वैश्य ने देखा राजकुमार का मन अपने वश में नहीं है वह काम के अधीन हो चुके हैं तब उसने हाथ जोड़कर उसने कहा राजकुमार आप लोग राजा है और हम लोग कर देने वाले वृत्तीय में आपके बराबर नहीं हूं फिर हमारे साथ आप वैवाहिक संबंध कैसे करना चाहते हैं राज कुमार ने कहा काम और मुंह आदि ने मानव शरीर की सामान्य सिद्ध करती है मुझे तुम्हारी कन्या पसंद है अतः उसे मुझे दे दो अन्यथा मेरा यह शरीर जीवित नहीं रह सकता वैश्य बोला हम और आप दोनों ही राजा के अधीन है पहले आप अपने पिताजी से आजा ले लीजिए फिर मैं कन्या दूंगा और आप ग्रहण कर लीजिएगा राजकुमार ने कहा गुरु जनों के अधीन रहने वाले पुत्रों की उचित है कि वह अन्य सभी कार्यों में गुरुजनों से पूछे किंतु ऐसे कार्यों में पूछना ठीक नहीं है ऐसी बातें तो उसके सामने मुख से निकलना भी कठिन है वहां काम चर्चा और कहां गुरुजनों को सुनना है दोनों बस पर विरोध है हां अन्य कार्यों के लिए उनसे पूछने में कोई हर्ज नहीं है वेश्या बोली ठीक है आप अपने पिताजी से पूछे तो आपके लिए या काम चर्चा हो सकती है किंतु मेरे लिए यह काम चर्चा नहीं है अतः मैं ही पूछूंगा वेश्या की यूं कहने पर राजकुमार चुप हो गए तब उन्होंने राजकुमार का जो विचार था वह सब उसके पिता से कहा सुनाया तब राजकुमार के पिता ने ऋतिक आदि श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण तथा राजकुमार को ही महल में बुलवाकर मुनियों से सब वृतांत निवेदन किया और कहा इस विषय में जीवन कर्तव्य हो उसके लिए आप लोग आज्ञा दें ऋषि बोले राजकुमार पहले तुम्हारा विवाह किसी मुहूर्त आशिक राजा की कन्या से होना चाहिए उसके बाद यह वैश्य कन्या भी तुम्हारी स्त्री हो सकती है ऐसा करने से दोस्त ना होगा अन्यथा पहले ही पैसे कन्या का अपहरण करने पर तुम्हारी उत्कृष्ट जाति चली जाएगी मारकंडे जी कहते हैं यह सुनकर नाप भागने उन महात्माओं के वचन की अवहेलना कर दिए और घर से निकलकर तलवार हाथ में ले लिया वह बोला मैंने रक्षा विवाह के अनुसार इस देश से कन्या का अपहरण किया है जिसकी समर्थ हो वह इसे मेरे हाथ में छुड़ा ले वैश्य ने उसे कन्या को राजकुमार के जंगल में पड़ी देख तेरा ही तरह ही रहते हुए उसके पिता की शरण ली तब राजकुमार के पिता ने कुपित होकर बहुत बड़ी सेनन का आज्ञा दी दुष्ट नाग भाग धर्म को कल्पित कर रहा है अत उसे मार डालो मार डालो राजा की आ गया प्रकार सी ने राजकुमार के साथ युद्ध आरंभ कर दिया ना भाग अस्त्रों का ज्ञाता था उसने अपने अस्त्र-शस्त्र से अधिकांश नाम को मार गिराया राजकुमार के द्वारा सेवा के मारे जाने का समाचार सुनकर राजा अपने सैनिकों को साथ ले स्वयं युद्ध के लिए गए फिर तो उनका अपने पुत्र के साथ संग्राम छेड़ गया उसमें अस्त्र-शास्त्र के प्रयोग में राजकुमार की अपेक्षा उसके पिता ही बड़े-बड़े चढ़े सिद्ध हुए इसी समय साहस आकाश से प्रविष्टि मुनि उत्तर पड़े और राजा से बोले महाभारत अपने पुत्र के साथ उत्पन्न कीजिए वह अपने धर्म से भ्रष्ट हो चुका है पुरुष अपने वार्ड की कन्या के साथ विवाह न करके जिस जिस हैं जाति की कमियां का पानी ग्रहण करता है उसी उसी के वर्ण का वह भी हो जाता है अतः आपका या मंदबुद्धि पुत्र वैद्य हो गया है इसका छतरियां के साथ युद्ध करने का अधिकार नहीं है इसलिए अब आप युद्ध से निर्मित हो जाइए तब राजा अपने पुत्र के साथ युद्ध करने के से रुक गए और उसने भी उसे वैश्य कन्या के साथ विवाह कर लिया बेशक तत्व को प्राप्त होने पर उसने राजा के पास जाकर पूछ भोपाल आप मेरा जो कर्तव्य हो उसके लिए आज्ञा दीजिए राजा ने कहा ब्रह्मा भाई आदि तपस्वी धार्मिक न्याय के लिए नियुक्त है कोई तुम्हारे लिए जो कर्म धर्म अनुकूल बतलावे उसी का अनुष्ठान करो तब राज सभा में रहने वाले ब्रह्मा जी आदि मुनियों ने नाक भाग के लिए पशुपालन कृषि तथा वाणी चाहिए ही उत्तम धर्म बतलाया राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार उसने भी वैसा ही किया ना भाग ने उसे वैश्य कन्या से एक पुत्र हुआ जिसका नाम भंवर नंदन था
