मारकंडे जी कहते हैं इस पृथ्वी पर विद्युत नाम के एक राजा हो चुके हैं उसकी कृति बहुत दूर तक फैली हुई थी उनके दो पुत्र थे सुनीति और सुमति एक दिन राजा विदुरत शिकार खेलने के लिए वन में गए वहां उन्होंने एक विशाल गदा दिखाई दिया जो पृथ्वी का मुख सा प्रतीत होता था उसे देखकर राजा ने सोचा यह आप भयंकर कर्तव्य क्या है मालूम होता है पाताल तक जाने वाले गुफा है पृथ्वी का साधारण का अर्थ नहीं देखने में भी पूरा नाम नहीं जान पड़ता उतनी राज वर्जन वन में इस प्रकार सोचते विचारते हुए राजा ने वहां शुभ रात नाम के तपस्वी ब्राह्मण को आते देखा और निकट आने पर उसने पूछा यह क्या है यह गलत बहुत ही गहरा है इसमें पृथ्वी का मैत्री बाग दिखाई दे रहा है ऋषि ने कहा राजन क्या आप इसे नहीं जानते इस पृथ्वी पर जो कुछ भी है वह सब राजा को जानना चाहिए हैरेसा ताल में एक महा पराक्रमी भयंकर दोनों निवास करता है वह पृथ्वी को निर्मित क्षेत्र युक्त कर देता है इसलिए उसे खूब भाजपा कहते हैं यह निर्मित हुआ पृथ्वी पर अथवा स्वर्ग में जो कुछ करता है उसे इसकी जानकारी आप क्यों नहीं रखते पूर्व काल में विश्वकर्मा ने जिसका निर्माण किया था वह सुन्नत नमक का मौसम उसे दुष्ट आत्मा ने हड़प लिया उसी से युद्ध में हुआ शत्रुओं का संघार करता है पाताल के अंदर रहकर उसे मौसम से ही वह उसे इस पृथ्वी को भी दूर कर देता है और इस प्रकार समस्त असुरों के आने जाने के लिए द्वारा बना लेता है जब आप पाताल के भीतर रहने वाले इस शत्रु का नाश करेंगे तब वास्तव में संपूर्ण पृथ्वी के स्वामी हो सकेंगे राजन आप मुश्किल के बल बल के विषय में विद्वान पुरुष ऐसा कहते हैं कि यदि कोई स्त्री हुआ मुसलमान छोड़े तो वह उसे दिन निर्बल हो जाता है किंतु दूसरे दिन फिर पूर्वक प्रबल हो जाता है युक्ति की उंगलियों के स्पर्श से उसकी शक्ति के नष्ट हो जाने का जो दोस्त या प्रभाव है उसे क्रोधी से चंचल होते और उन्होंने अपने दोनों पुत्रों से जो वन के मार्ग भली भांति जानते थे कहा तुम लोग शीघ्र जो उसे मानव ने न्यूज़ के तट पर खड़ा बना रखा है उसी के मार्ग से रसातल में जाकर मुद्दावती का अपहरण करने वाले उसे दुष्ट को मार डाला तब अत्यंत क्रुद्ध में भरे हुए दोनों राजकुमार उसे घर के मार्ग से सुना सहित रास्ता ताल में जा पहुंचे और क्रीम ने युद्ध करने लगे उसमें पर्यंत पढ़कर शक्ति स्कूल पर से शूरवीर था उसने अपने पिता के प्रिय मित्र राजा विधु रात के पास आकर उन्हें प्रणाम किया और विनीत भाव से कहा महाराज मुझे आज्ञा दीजिए मैं आपके ही देश से कुछ देते को मार कर अपने दोनों पुत्रों तथा कन्या को चुरा लूंगा या सुनकर राजा ने अपने प्यारे मित्र के उसे पुत्र को प्रसन्नता पूर्वक छाती से लगा लिया और कहा वात्सलिया जो तुम्हें अपने कार्य में सफलता प्राप्त हो तदनंतर वीर वाशिलिपि खडक और धनुष ले उंगलियों में गोद के चरण से बनी हुई दस्ताने पहचान कर पूर्व उत्तर गड्ढे के मार्ग से तृप्त पाताल में गया वहां उसने अपने धनुष की भयंकर तट सुनाई जिससे सारा पटल गूंज उठा हुआ तत्काल सुनकर दानव राजकुमार अपनी सुना साथ के बड़ी क्रोध के साथ वहां आया और राजकुमार के साथ युद्ध करने लगा दोनों के पास अपनी-अपनी सेनाएं थी एक बलवान का दूसरे बलवान वीर के साथ युद्ध हो रहा था लगातार तीन दिनों तक घमासान युद्ध होता रहा तब वह दानव अत्यंत क्रुद्ध में भरकर भूसहर लाने के लिए दौड़ा प्रजापति विश्वकर्मा का बनाया हुआ मुसल सदा अध्ययन अतः पूर्व में रहता था और गंध माला तथा धूप आदि से प्रतिदिन उसकी पूजा होती थी राजकुमारी मुंडावती उसे मौसम के प्रभाव को जानती थी अदाओं से अत्यंत नम्रता से मस्तक झुका कर उसे श्रेष्ठ मुसल का स्पर्श किया वह महान थे दिया जब तक उसे मौसम को हाथ में लेकर जब तक ही उसने नमस्कार के बहाने अनेक बार उसका स्पर्श कर लिया फिर उसे देते राज ने युद्ध भूमि में जाकर मुसल्सी युद्ध आरंभ किया किंतु उसके शत्रुओं पर मिसाल के प्रहार व्यर्थ सिद्ध होने लगे उसे दिव्य अस्त्र के निर्बल पर जाने पर देते नहीं दूसरे अस्त्र-शास्त्र द्वारा शास्त्रों का सामना किया राजकुमार ने उसे रथीन कर दिया तब वह ढाल तलवार लेकर उसकी ओर दौड़ा उसे क्रोध में भरकर वेग से आते देख राजकुमार ने कॉल अग्नि के समान प्रज्वलित अग्नि अस्त्र से उसे पर प्रहार किया उसे अनंत ने उसे मूषक को ले लिया मृदा वटी के सोनाद नमक मुसल के गुण को जानकर उसका बारंबार स्पर्श किया था इसलिए नाराज अंत के उसका नाम सुनाद रख दिया तत्पश्चात राजकुमार ने भाई सहित उन कन्या को सीख रही पिता के पास पहुंचा और प्रणाम करके कहा ताई आप ही आजा के अनुसार मैं आपके दोनों पुत्रों और इस मुद्दावती को भी छुड़ा लाया आप मुझसे और भेजो कार्य लेने हो उसके लिए आजा कीजिए इस पर महाराज विदुर रात के मन में बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई एवं उच्च स्वर से बोल बेटा बेटा तूने बहुत अच्छा किया बहुत अच्छा किया आज देवताओं ने तीन कर्म से मेरा सम्मान बढ़ाया है एक तो तुम जय माता के रूप में मुझे प्राप्त हुए दूसरे मेरा शत्रु मर गया तथा तीसरे मेरी संताने कल कुशल पूर्वक लौट आए आता आज शुभ मुहूर्त में तुम मेरी इस कन्या का पाणिग्रहण करो यूं कह कर राजा ने उन दोनों का विधि पूर्वक विवाह कर दीजिए नो युवक वसली फ्री मृदा वटी के साथ रमणीय प्रदेशों तथा महलों में बिहार करने लगे कुछ कल के बाद उसके वृत्त पिता भावनंदन वन में चले गए और वह सेल प्रिया राजा हुआ उसने सदा ही प्रजा का धरमपूर्वक पालन करते हुए अनेक यज्ञ किया वह प्रजा को पुत्र की भांति मानकर उसकी रक्षा करता था उसके राज्य में वार्ड संग्रहण संतान की उत्पत्ति नहीं हुई कभी किसी को लुटेरा सर्प तथा दूसरों का भाई नहीं हुआ इसके शासनकाल में किसी प्रकार के उत्पादन का भी भय नहीं था
