वह ज्ञान जिस विधि से प्राप्त होता है वह तू जान यानी सुन आचार्य के समीप जाकर भली भांति दंडवत प्रणाम करने से एवं किस तरह बंधन हुआ है कैसे मुक्ति होगा विद्या क्या है अब विद्या क्या है इस प्रकार निष्कपट भाव से प्रश्न करने से और गुरु की यथा योग्य सेवा करने से वह ज्ञान प्राप्त होता है अभिप्राय यह है कि इस प्रकार सेवा और विनय आदि से प्रसन्न हुए तत्वदर्शी ज्ञान आचार्य तुझे उपयुक्त विश्लेषकों वाले ज्ञान का उद्देश्य करेंगे ज्ञानवान भी कोई कोई यथार्थ तत्व को जानने वाले होते हैं सब नहीं होते इसलिए ज्ञानी के साथ तत्वदर्शी यह विश्लेषण लगाया है इसे भगवान का यह अभिप्राय है की जो यथार्थ तत्व को जानने वाले होते हैं उनके द्वारा उपदेश किया हुआ ही ज्ञान अपने कार्य को सिद्ध करने में समर्थ होता है दूसरा नहीं ऐसा होने पर यह कहना भी ठीक है हे पांडव उनके द्वारा बतलाए हुए जी ज्ञान को पकड़ फिर तू इस प्रकार मुंह को प्राप्त नहीं होगा जैसे कि अब हो रहा है तथा जी ज्ञान के द्वारा तू संपूर्णता से सब भूतों को अर्थात ब्रह्मा से लेकर स्तंभ पर्यटन समस्त प्राणियों को यह सब भूत मुझ में स्थित है इस प्रकार साक्षात अपने अंतरात्मा में ही दिखेगा और मुझे वासुदेव परमेश्वर में भी इन सब भूतों को देखेगा अर्थात सभी उपनिषदों में जो आत्मा और ईंधन की एकता प्रसिद्ध है उनको प्रत्येक अनुभव करेगा इस ज्ञान का महत्व क्या है सुन सो सून यदि तू पाप करने वाले सब प्राणियों से अधिक पाप करने वाला आती पापी भी है तो भी ज्ञान रूप नौका द्वारा अर्थात ज्ञान को ही नौका बनाकर समस्त पाप रूप समुद्र से अच्छी तरह पर उतर जाएगा यह मुंशी के लिए धर्म भी पापी कहा जाता है ज्ञान पाप को किस प्रकार नष्ट कर देता है सो दुष्यंत सहित कहते हैं हे अर्जुन जैसी अच्छी प्रकार से प्रदीप यानी प्रज्वलित हुआ अग्नि ईंधन को अर्थात कास्ट के समूह को भरम रूप कर देता है वैसे ही ज्ञान रूप अगरिया सब कर्मों को भस्म रूप कर देता है अर्थात नीरज कर देता है क्योंकि ईंधन की भांति ज्ञान रूप एग्री कर्मों को साक्षात भस्म रूप नहीं कर सकता इसलिए इसका यह अभिप्राय है कि यथार्थ ज्ञान सब कर्मों को निर्मित करने का हेतु है जिस फर्म से शरीर उत्पन्न हुआ है वह फल देने के लिए प्रभावित हो चुका इसलिए उसका नाश हो तो उपभोग द्वारा ही होगा या युक्ति सिद्ध बात है अतः इस जन्म में ज्ञान की उत्पत्ति से पहले और ध्यान के साथ-साथ किए हुए एवं पुराने अनेक जन्मों में किए हुए जो कर्म अभी वक्त फल देने के लिए प्रभावित नहीं हुए हैं उन सब कर्मों को ही ज्ञान अपनी भस्म करता है पवित्र कर्मों को नहीं क्योंकि ज्ञान का इतना प्रभाव है इसलिए
