महा भागवत देवी पुराण अध्याय 2

एक समय की बात है मंत्र आंचल पर्वत पर सभी देवगन तथा भगवान विष्णु की उपस्थिति में महर्षि नारद ने नम्रता पूर्वक प्रार्थना करते हुए भगवान शिव से पूजा की भगवान विष्णु ब्रह्मा तथा आपकी भक्ति पूर्वक उपासना करने से जीव को परंपाठ की प्राप्ति हो जाती है यहां तक की इंद्र आदि समस्त लोकपालों ने भी आप तीनों की उपासना करके ही श्रेष्ठ पद प्राप्त किया है परंतु देवेश आप मुझे यह बताने की कृपा करें कि आप सबका उपवास देवता कौन है आपकी अविनाशी देवता की आराधना करते हैं यह कहते हुए नारद मुनि भगवान विष्णु तथा शिव का स्थान करने लगे उसकी स्थिति से प्रसन्न होकर निर्मल मति भगवान शंकर ने साथ समाधि होकर परमधिक भक्ति का पूर्ण परात्पर्य ब्रह्मा के स्वरूप में दर्शन किया तथा बोले शुद्ध शाश्वत प्राकृतिक स्वरूप को पानी भगवती जगदंबा की साक्षात परम ब्रह्म है और वही हमारे देवता भी है निराकार रहते हुए भी हुए महादेवी ने अपनी लीला से दे धारण करती है उन्हीं के द्वारा इस विश्व का सृजन पालन आरंभ में संघार किया जाता है उसके द्वारा ही यह जगत मोहन ग्रस्त होता है प्राचीन काल में हुए पूर्ण भगवती ही अपने लीला से दक्ष कन्या साथी के रूप में एवं उनकी पुत्री पवित्री के रूप में तथा अपने ही हाथ में विष्णु भाई लक्ष्मी के रूप में एक ब्रह्मा की भव्य सरस्वती तथा सावित्री के रूप में प्रकट हुए उसकी पूर्ण प्राकृतिक ने ही सृष्टि कार्य में त्रिदेव की नियुक्त करते हुए कहा मैं सृष्टि के निर्माता ही आप तीनों को अपने इच्छा से उत्पन्न किया जाता आप मेरे इच्छा अनुसार सृष्टि का कार्य करें मैं सावित्री सरस्वती लक्ष्मी गण तथा सती पास श्रेष्ठ देवियों के रूप में विभक्त होकर आप लोगों में पटिया बनकर इस श्रमिक पूर्ण बिहार करूंगी और सभी प्राणियों में नारी रूप धारण कर संभोग के सहयोग में सभी को जन्म लूंगी ब्रह्मा आदि से ऐसा कह कर प्राप्त प्राकृतिक भगवती महाविद्या उनके देखते-देखते अंतर ध्यान हो गई भगवती द्वारा माहेश्वरी अपने अभाव की बात बताएं भगवान महेश्वरी को पूर्ण प्राकृतिक को पवित्र रूप से प्राप्त करने के लिए सही यात्री को प्रताप में द्वारा आराधना करने लगे महेश्वर को ऐसा करते देखा विष्णु और ब्रह्मा भी ताप में बैठ गए इन तक तीनों में तब की परीक्षा करने के लिए स्वयं भगवती विराट रूप धारण कर उसके पास आई जिसे देखकर प्रभावित हो तो डर गए परंतु भगवान सदाशिव इस परीक्षा में रहस्य को जानकर समाधि में ही बैठे रहे तपस्या रथ भगवान शिव पर परम ब्रह्म भगवती ने प्रसन्न होकर उसे या आश्वासन दिया कि दक्ष प्रजापति यहां अपने माया से उत्पन्न होकर पूर्ण प्राकृतिक में ही अपनी भाई-बहनों साथ ही भगवती मैया भी कहा कि जब दक्षिण या उनके देव अभियान में से मेरा था आपका अनादर होगा तब मैं उन्हें मोहित कर अपने स्थान को चले जाएंगे तब उसने अपने वीर मेरा वियोग हो जाए और तब आप भी मेरे बिना कहे ठहर नहीं जाएंगे इस प्रकार हम दोनों ने बीच प्रवृत्ति बने रहेंगे यह कहकर परमेश्वर प्राकृतिक अंतर ध्यान हो गया और भगवान शिव के मनन में प्रसन्न व्याप्त होगी इस प्रकार तीसरा अध्ययन पूरा हुआ दक्ष प्रजापति के घर में भगवती का सती रूप में जन्म तथा सतीश स्वयंवर ऊंची दिनों बाद दक्षिण पत्नी ने शुभ दिन में एक कन्या को जन्म दिया हुआ कन्या प्राकृतिक रूप वाणी भागो पति पूर्ण ही की थी उसे समय आकाश में फूलों की वर्षा होने लगी सैकड़ो दुर्वानिया बाजू की कुल सलाम का वातावरण बन गय दसवीं दिवस कन्या का सती नामकरण किया गया उसे समय बाद जब सती बिया योगी हुए तो दक्ष प्रजापति सती के पानी ग्रहण की दृष्टि से देवताओं असुरों में आमंत्रित कार्य स्वयंवर का आयोजन किया यह स्वयंवर में भगवान शिव को आनंदित नहीं किया था देवता सूर्य ऋषि और मा महात्मा लोग सावधान उपस्थित थे दक्ष प्रजापति ने स्वयंवर में देवरु हुआ अपनी कन्या साथी को बुलाया और कहा कि आपको जो सुंदर गुणगान और श्रेष्ठ प्रवृत्ति को उसे माला पहनना करवा कारण ले ले इस विचारों श्रेष्ठ महेश्वर भी नदी पर सवार होकर आ गए और अंतरिक्ष में स्थित हो गए प्राकृतिक रूप वनी देवी भगवती सीखने शिवनाम ऐसे कह कर वह माला भूमि में समर्पित कर दी और वहां पर प्रकट होकर भगवान शिव ने उसको माला को अपने सिर पर धारण कर लिया यह सब देख दक्ष प्रजापति खेल हो गए परंतु ब्रह्मा जी ने करने पर उन्होंने महेश्वर को बुलाकर सती उन्हें सौंपती ठाकुर भगवान शंकर ने भी प्रसन्नता पूर्वक विधि विधान से उसका पाणिग्रहण कर लिया तथा भगवती सतीश साथ में लेकर महेश्वर कैलाश के लिए प्रस्थान कर गए चौथे अध्याय में यह कथन पूर्ण होती है

Once upon a time, in the presence of all the gods and Lord Vishnu on the Mantra Anchal mountain, Maharishi Narada humbly prayed to Lord Shiva and said that by worshipping Lord Vishnu, Brahma and you with devotion, the living being attains salvation. Even Indra and all the Lokpals have attained the highest position by worshipping you three, but Devesh, please tell me who is the fasting deity of all of you. We worship your immortal deity. Saying this, Narada Muni started praising Lord Vishnu and Shiva. Pleased with his condition, the pure minded Lord Shankar, in meditation, with utmost devotion, saw the complete and supreme form of Brahma and said that the pure, eternal and natural form of Goddess Jagadamba is the real Supreme Brahma and she is also our deity. Even while remaining formless, Mahadevi holds the body through her play. It is through her that the creation, maintenance and destruction of this world is done in the beginning. It is through her that this world gets enchanted. In ancient times, the complete Goddess, through her play, became the master of all the divine powers. In the form of a girl companion and in the form of his daughter Pavitri and in the form of Vishnu's brother Lakshmi in his own hands, a grand Saraswati and Savitri of Brahma appeared, his complete nature itself appointed the Tridev in the work of creation and said that I, the creator of the universe, create all three of you as per my wish, you do the work of creation as per my wish, I, Savitri, Saraswati, Lakshmi Gana and Sati, dividing myself into the best goddesses, will become a platform among you all and will take birth in the help of sexual intercourse by assuming female form in all the creatures, the natural Bhagwati Mahavidya obtained by saying this from Brahma etc., went into meditation in front of them, Maheshwari told about his lack, to get the complete nature in a pure form, Lord Maheshwari started worshipping the true traveler through Pratap, seeing Maheshwar doing this, Vishnu and Brahma also sat in heat, till then to test these three, Bhagwati herself came near him in a gigantic form, on seeing whom they got impressed and scared, but Lord Sadashiv, knowing the secret of this test, remained sitting in meditation in the chariot of penance. The Supreme Brahma Bhagwati was pleased with Lord Shiva and assured him that Daksha Prajapati, born here by his Maya, will give birth to his brothers and sisters in a completely natural way. Bhagwati Maiya also said that when Daksha or any of his Devas will disrespect me, then I will captivate him and go to my place. Then he will say that I will be separated from you and then you too will not stay without me saying anything. In this way both of us will remain united. Saying this, the Lord went into natural meditation and happiness will prevail in the contemplation of Lord Shiva. In this way the third study was completed. Bhagwati was born in the form of Sati in the house of Daksha Prajapati and after a long time, Daksha's wife gave birth to a girl on an auspicious day. The girl was born in the natural form of Bhaago Pati. At that time, flowers started raining in the sky and an atmosphere of salute of hundreds of Durvaniya arms was created. On the tenth day, the girl was named Sati. After some time, when Sati became a Yogi, Daksha Prajapati organized a Swayamvar by inviting the gods and demons for the sake of Sati's water. Lord Shiva was invited in this Swayamvar. The gods Surya, Rishis and Mahatmas were present attentively. Daksha Prajapati called his daughter-in-law in the Swayamvar and said that I will make you wear a garland because of your beautiful praises and noble nature. With this thought, the best Maheshwar also came riding on the river and settled in the space. Saying that Goddess Bhagwati in her natural form will learn the name of Shiva, he dedicated the garland to the ground and appearing there, Lord Shiva wore that garland on his head. Seeing all this, Daksha Prajapati got confused but when Brahma Ji did it, he called Maheshwar and handed over Sati to him. Thakur Lord Shankar also happily accepted her hand in marriage as per the rituals and taking Bhagwati Satish with him, Maheshwar departed for Kailash. This narration gets completed in the fourth chapter.
