महा भागवत देवी पुराण अध्याय 13

श्री गणेश जी को नमस्कार है श्री गणेश जी के चरण कमल की परागकण को जो देवेंद्र के मस्तक पर विराजमान मरदार पुष्प की परम कानों के समान अरुण वार्ड के आए हुए विद्यालय का नाश करेंगे नारायण न श्रेष्ठ सिन्नर भगवती सरस्वती और बिहारी को नमस्कार करके जय पुराण एवं इतिहास आदि ग का पाठ करना चाहिए नींद की आराधना करके स्वयं ब्रह्मा जी की जगत की सृजन करता हुई भगवान विष्णु पालन करता हुई तथा भगवान शिव शंकर करने वाले योगी जान जिसे ध्यान करते हैं और तत्वार्थ जानने वाले मुनिज्ञान जिन्हें पर मूल प्राकृतिक कहते हैं स्वागत था मोक्ष प्रदान करने वाले कल जग जननी भगवती को मैं प्रणाम करता हूं जिन्होंने सुरक्षा से ही जगत की सृष्टि करके था स्वयं जन्म लेकर भगवान शिव को पति रूप में व्याप्त प्राप्त किया और सुषमा कठोर तपस्या से दिन है पति रूप में प्राप्त कर जिनके चरण अपने हृदय पर धारण किया हुए भगवती आप सबको रक्षा करें एक बार नेविस पारायण में सौगंध आदि महर्षि ने देव वेद देवताओं में श्रेष्ठ मुनिवर सूट की से पूछा महामते अब आप स्वागत तथा मोक्ष का सुख प्रदान करने वाले उसे पुण्य का वर्णन कीजिए इन्हें भगवती उत्तम महिमा का अध्ययन विस्तार से वर्णन किया है और इसके यथा विधि श्रवण करने से दिव्य ज्ञान से रहित मनुष्य में जो नवधा भक्ति उत्पन्न हो जाती है सूत जी बोले महा भागवत नामक इस अत्यंत गोपनीय पुराण का वर्णन सर्वप्रथम भगवान शिव ने महात्मा नारद के लिए किया था पूर्व काल में से फिर स्वयं भगवान व्यास ने भक्ति निष्ठा महर्षि gemini के लिए श्रद्धा पूर्वक कहा था और फिर उसी ने मैं आप लोगों से कह रहा हूं इसे पर्याप्त पूर्वक गोपनीय रखना चाहिए था कभी भी प्रकट नहीं करना चाहिए इसे श्रवण करने तथा पाठ करने में दूज को पुन प्राप्त होता है भगवान शिव भी 100 वर्ष में उसको पूनिया हुआ आनंद करने में समर्थ नहीं है तो फिर मन उसका वर्णन कैसे कर पाऊंगा क्योंकि वह पुन्यासीम है या सुनकर सभी ऋषि गण विस्मित एवं मध्यम हर्षित हुए उन श्रेष्ठ मुनियों से वेद बनताओं में श्रेष्ठ सूत्र जी ने पुनः कहां ऋषि गण बोल मुनिवर जिस तरह से वह श्रेष्ठ पुराण इस पृथ्वी लोक में प्रकाशित हुआ कृपा करके इसका यथार्थ रूप में वर्णन कीजिए सूट जी बोले समस्त धर्मशास्त्र के वक्त सभी वेद विद्यासों श्रेष्ठ धर्म यज्ञ ज्ञान संपन्न महान बुद्धि वाले महामुनि भगवान महर्षि व्यास जी 18 पुराने की रचना करने पर भी किसी प्रकार से संतुष्ट नहीं हुए नहीं चिंता हुई कि या महापुराण परम श्रेष्ठ है जिसे बढ़ाकर दूसरा कुछ भी इस पृथ्वी तल पर नहीं है भगवती का परम तत्व तथा विस्तृत महत्व इसमें विद्यमान है देवी तत्व से अभिन्न अंग में इसका वर्णन कैसे कर सकूंगा ऐसा सोचकर उसके मन में बड़ा मोक्ष हुआ महा ज्ञानी महेश्वर शिव जिनके तत्वों को भली भांति नहीं जानते जिनके पर हम तत्वों को जान पाना अत्यंत कठिन है ऐसा विचार कर परम बुद्धिमान तथा दुर्गा भक्ति पर और ब्याज ही नहीं हिमालय पर्वत पर जाकर कठोर तपस्या की उसकी तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर भक्तों से स्नेह रखने वाले भगवती स्वर्ण अनित आद्रीश्या रूप से आकाश में स्थित होकर उसे यह वचन कहा महा भूमि जहां ब्रह्मलोक में समस्त सूती विद्यमान थी आप वहां पर जाएं वहां आप मेरे संपूर्ण परम तत्व को ज्ञान लेंगे स्तुति के द्वारा मेरी स्तुति की जाने पर भी प्रकट होता है आप ही जो भी अभिलाष होगी उन्हें पूर्ण करेगा तदनंतर भगवती की आकाशवाणी सुनकर महर्षि व्यास जी पर हम लोग ब्रह्मा लोग गए वहां उन्होंने वेद को प्रणाम करके पूछ अविनाशी ब्रह्म पाठ क्या है विदेशी नंबर ऑफ महर्षि गया वचन सुनकर एक-एक करके सभी वेदों को तत्काल मुनिश्रेष्ठ व्यास जी ने से कहा ऋग्वेद ने कहा सभी प्राणी जिसके भीतर स्थित है और जिसे संपूर्ण जगत प्रकट होता है तथा जिन्हें परम तत्व कहा गया है वह साक्षात स्वयं भगवती ही है जोग वेद ने कहा सभी प्रकार की लड़कियों से जिसकी प्रार्थना की होती है जिसके साथ चाहता हूं प्रमाण है वह एकमात्र भक्ति ही है सामने उसने कहा जो इस समग्र जगत को धारण करती है तथा योगिजन जनता चिंतन करते हैं और जिसे यह विश्व प्रकाशित है वह मात्र भगवती दुखी की जगत में व्याप्त है

And by listening to it in the proper manner, the ninefold devotion is generated in a person devoid of divine knowledge. Sut ji said that this extremely secret Purana named Maha Bhagwat was first described by Lord Shiva for Mahatma Narad in the past, then Lord Vyas himself had said it with devotion and loyalty for Maharishi Gemini and again I am telling you that it should have been kept very secret and should never be revealed, by listening to it and reciting it one gets the second day again, even Lord Shiva is not able to experience the joy of its completion in 100 years, then how will the mind be able to describe it because it is virtuous or on hearing this all the sages were astonished and moderately happy, Sut ji, the best among the Vedas created, said again to those great sages, sages, tell me Munivar, in what way that best Purana was revealed on this earth, please describe it in its true form. Sut ji said that at the time of all the religious scriptures, the great sage Lord Maharishi Vyas ji, who had great intellect, was the best among all the Vedas, knowledgeable about religion and sacrifice. 18 Even after composing the old one, he was not satisfied in any way. He was worried that this Mahapuran is the most excellent, which nothing else can surpass on this earth. He said that the one who sustains this entire world and the Yogis contemplate on her and from whom this world is illuminated is only Bhagwati who is present in the world of Dukhi.
