कुमार कार्तिकेय का तारकासुर के विनाश के लिए सहजन्य उद्घाट होना ब्रह्मा जी द्वारा उन्हें वहां के रूप में मयूर तथा घोर शक्ति प्रदान करना कार्तिके को देवसेना का सेनापति तत्व प्राप्त होना नारद जी बोले महादेव आप यह बताने की कृपा करें पार्वती पुत्र कार्तिकेय युद्ध भूमि में देव शत्रु तारकासुर का कैसे संघार किया प्रभु अपने माता-पिता से उनका परिचय कैसा हुआ हर देवी पार्वती कथा महेश्वर के पुत्र प्राप्ति के बाद क्या किया श्री महादेव जी बोले बलिया युद्ध भूमि में पार्वती पुत्र ने जिस प्रकार तारकासुर का संघार किया उसे मैं कहता हूं सुनने साथी अपने माता-पिता से जिस तरह उसका परिचय हुआ या संपूर्ण वृद्धि बीमा करता हूं आप ध्यान से सुन एक बार तारकासुर ने सम्यक पीड़ित होकर सारे देवता ब्रह्मा जी के पास आए और उसे महामति को प्रणाम कर कहने लगे देवताओं ने कहा प्रभु महान जिस प्रकार यह तारकासुर हम सबको सदा पीड़ित करता रहता है उसका क्या आप नहीं जानते क्या आप हम आपके समक्ष कहीं इस समय उसके संघार के लिए आप महादेव पुत्र महाबली महादेव कार्तिकेय को शीघ्र हिरणभूमि में भेजें श्री महादेव जी बोले उनकी यह बात सुनकर लोग पिता मां ब्रह्मा जी ने सभी देवताओं के सामने कार्तिक ऐसे कहा ब्रह्मा जी बोले शिव आत्म आप सभी लोगों के रक्षक है तहत इस प्रकार तार का द्वितीय मारकर देवताओं की रक्षा करें तारकासुर के सताए यह देवगढ़ आपका आसरा लेकर उधर प्राप्त करें इसलिए आप उसे देव शत्रु का संघार करें श्री महादेव जी बोले तब देवताओं के आगे स्थिर महाबली कार्तिकेय ने सिंह गंभीर वाणी में उसे ब्रह्मा जी से कहा कार्तिकेय जी बोले मैं उसे दोस्त और दुष्ट देशराज तारकासुर का वध में संघार करूंगा मेरे लिए वहां की व्यवस्था की जाए श्री महादेव जी बोले महामुनि ऐसे कहें जहां पर भगवान ब्रह्मा जी ने शिव पुत्र कार्तिकेय के लिए वायु के समाधि प्रोग्राम में मयूर वाहन प्रदान कीजिए उसे मा तेजस्वी कार्तिकेय को तारकासुर का वध करने के लिए स्वर्ण परिपथ एक शक्ति भी प्रदान की जिसकी अभय करोड़ सूर्य के समान थी उसके सामान मा शक्ति तीनों भावनाओं में नहीं है इस कारण श्री शिव पुत्र कार्तिकेय शक्तिधर यह नाम भी प्राप्त करेगा तब लोग पितामह ब्रह्मा जी ने सारी देवसेना रक्षा के लिए कार्तिकेय को सेनापति बनाकर युद्ध भूमि में भेजा हुए महाबली पराक्रमी कार्तिकेय जी ब्रह्मा जी का सम्राट प्रणाम कर तथा उसे भाई वहां शक्ति को लेकर मयूर वहां पर अरुण हो गए और मुझे दादा अंतर कार्तिकेय जी को आगे करके सभी देवता युद्ध करने के लिए देशराज तारकासुर की नागरिक की ओर आए तदनंतर आते हुए उन देवताओं के घर कोलाहल को सुनकर अपने असुर समूह के साथ देते राजीव के लिए तात्पर्य हुआ वह भी देते राज का गणित स्वरों और पैदल सिपाहियों के साथ हजारों हाथी घोड़े लेकर युद्ध के लिए उपस्थित हो गया श्रेष्ठ मयूर वहां पर अरुण हाथ में चमकती हुई शक्ति धारण किया और सभी देवताओं से गिरे सी कार्तिक को अत्यधिक करतार का सुरभि और मंडली रात भर रोड होकर निकल पड़ा उसके रथ पर्शिया वाली अनेक हो जाए तथा पता खाएं शोभित हो रही थी महामति जब वह अपने रथ के कूड़े में होकर शब्द सिद्धार्थ थी कांपते हुए आगे बढ़ा तब आई भयंकर आप शगुन दिखाई देने लगे मुनि सूर्य का विधान कर उसके रात में शामिल उसका पाठ होने लगेगा घोड़े की आंखों में असुर धारा निकलने लगे सभी युक्त गगन दुखी मन हो गए और क्रांति मृत्य अशोक पक्षी का भयंकर शब्द करते हुए गिरने लगे इस प्रकार के अनेक भयंकर आप साबुन को देखकर भी देवताओं को पीड़ित करने वाला वह देते राजदार का असुर विशाल दिव्या धनुष लेकर क्रोध पूर्वक शिवपुत्र कार्तिकेयन को युद्ध में जितने की लालसा से आगे बढ़ा उन्हें जिसकी माता स्वयं युद्ध भूमि में सभी श्रेष्ठ देवताओं संघर्ष करने वाले पर्वत राज हिमालय की पुत्र भगवती पार्वती है तथा इसके पिता पर लयकारी रूद्र है उसके शक्ति संपन्न कार्तिकेय को पराजित करने में कौन समर्थ है इस प्रकार श्री महा भागवत महापुराण के अंतर्गत श्री महादेव नारद संवाद में तारकासुर संग्राम कुमार आगमन वर्णन नामक अध्याय पूर्ण हुआ
