पर जाने की इच्छा से श्री राम ने फोन वानर राज सूर्य से उसकी सेवा का बाल बिक्री जाने हेतु प्रश्न किया सुग्रीव ने उत्तर दिया कि भगवान आपको इस विषय में चिंता नहीं करनी चाहिए हम लोग पर्वतों को उजाड़ कर समुद्र को सुख डालेंगे और इस महासमुद्राम पर सेतु का भी निर्माण करेंगे जिससे आप सुविधा पूर्वक पर जा सकेंगे सत्य पराक्रमी श्री राम ने सुग्रीव की बातें सुनकर प्रसन्नता पूर्वक ऐसी व्यवस्था की जिससे दूरस्थ समुद्र में स्वयं ही बंधन स्वीकार कर लिया मनी वर तत्पश्चात सुग्रीव की आज्ञा से माया पुत्र नाले पर्वत को खाकर उखाड़ कर समुद्र में सेतु का निर्माण किया मनी सादुल श्रवण की पूर्णिमा को प्रारंभ कर वानर श्रेष्ठ से मात्र दोपहर बाहर बराबर 3 घंटा में ही समुद्र में सेतु का निर्माण कर दिया जो सभी लोगों के लिए अत्यंत दुष्कर्म था रावण ने जब महासमुद्र पर सेतुबंध की बात सुनी तो वह मोहित तथा भाया भाई आक्रामत होकर बार-बार कांपने लगा महामती इधर लाखों सैकड़ो महा बलशाली वाहनों से घिरे हुए महाबाहु श्री राम लक्ष्मण के साथ कृष्ण पक्ष की त्रयोदशी तिथि को लड़का गए परम पराक्रमी पांडवों ने लड़का को चार ओर से घेर लिया महामति जल में स्थल पर पर कोर्ट पर वृक्ष पर घरों में चौराहों पर प्रवेश द्वार पर और 1 उपवन में कोई ऐसा स्थान नहीं बचा जहां वाला ना हो तब युद्ध आरंभ करने की इच्छा वाले भगवान श्री राम ने मन मे विचार किया कि लंका पर विजय पाने के लिए मुझे महादेव जी सुरेश्वरी भगवती का पूजन करना है किंतु या उसका प्रशांत समय नहीं है इस समय दक्षिण है और स्त्रियों या जगनी जगदंबा सोई रहती है ऐसा सोचकर श्री राम रूपी में प्रगति भगवान मौजूद नारायण ने उसे संतापी शक्ति का पितृ रूप में पूजन करने का निश्चय किया वेब मा माया भगवती इस पक्ष में पितृ रूप से विराजमान रहती है कृष्ण पक्ष प्रारंभ हो गई है और प्रतिपाद्य तिथि भी इसलिए आज से प्रारंभ करने में अमावस्या तक प्रतिदिन पान विधि से विधि पूर्वक जयप्रदा महादेवी का पितृ रूप से पूजन करके ही युद्ध भूमि में प्रवेश करूंगा जिसमें शत्रुओं का संघार हो सके ऐसा मन में निश्चय करके लंका में श्री राम ने आदर सहित घोषणा की की आज अपराह्न काल में माई भक्ति पूर्वक पान श्रद्धा करूंगा तत्पश्चात में राक्षस राज रावण के साथ समर भूमि में युद्ध करूंगा उनकी यह बात सुनकर वाहनों ने रघु के वश में प्रदूषण श्री राम से कहा नित्य यज्ञ आप युद्ध में विजय के लिए भक्ति भाव से चित्रों का पूजन करें आप स्वयं सभी विधि विधान के ज्ञाता है तब अपराह्न काल में सत्य पराक्रमी श्री राम ने देवी का स्मरण करते हुए पारस श्रद्धा संपन्न किया पश्चिम दिशा में सूर्य की अस्त हो जाने पर इस दिशा उनका राक्षसों के साथ युद्ध आरंभ हो गया उसे युद्ध में श्री राम और रावण ने जैसा पराक्रम किया वैसा कभी किसी ने ना देखा था ना सोना ही था रावण ने एक अक्षर द्रोणी चतुर नारायण सिंह के साथ महा बलवान रक्षा आपका मृत्य भूमि में भेजा भूमि प्रथम दिन के युद्ध में पवन पुत्र हनुमान ने क्रुद्ध होकर उसे पर प्रहार किया और उसे यमलोक भेज दिया किसी प्रकार श्री राम भक्ति पूर्वक प्रतिदिन श्रद्धा करके देवी को प्रसन्न करते हुए राक्षसों का संघार करते थे और कंपन के मारे जाने पर रावण की आज्ञा सी रहित धूम्रक्ष युद्ध भूमि में आया और उसे भयंकर अदृश्य रूप से आकाश में स्थित हो गया महामति उसकी भयंकर नाक पास से सभी वानर भालू के साथ श्री राम लक्ष्मण वाद्य लिए राक्षस राज रावण के समान बलशाली उसे वीर मेघनाथ ने अपनी माया से सबको मोहित कर दिया तब विभीषण ने आकर रघुनाथ नंदन श्री राम को रात्रि के उसे क्षण में सचेत किया सचेत होने पर भगवान श्री राम ने भयभीत होकर महान भयंकर नाश करने वाले भगवती भवानी का परम भक्त भाव से स्मरण किया तब गरुड़ ने आज कर के उसके भयंकर नाक पास को खाकर सेनन सहित राम लक्ष्मण को बंधन से मुक्त कर दिया तट अंतर प्रता कल उसे प्रसंग को सुनकर रावण स्वयं युद्ध भूमि में आया और सभी लोग भयभीत करने वाले तुम मल युद्ध करने लगा रावण को राम ने युद्ध में अपनी कर वर्षा रावण को ढक दिया करोड़ों वाहनों ने भी पर्वत शिखर को लाकर उसे दुष्ट आत्मा के रथ पर फेंका विशाल पर्वत के आकार वाले उसे महावीर पर उन वानर वीरों ने साल प्रिया साल आदि तथा वन में यूज अन्य बड़े-बड़े वर्षों से प्रहार किया मुनिश्रेष्ठ हनुमान और महाकाल वाली मुख इत्यादि वानर वीरों के द्वारा फेके गए सैकड़ो हजारों पर्वत करो से वह रावण राज विहीन हो गया सूर्य और चंद्रमा के समान तेजस्वी महाबल पराक्रमी दोनों भाइयों श्री राम और लक्ष्मण ने युद्ध में हंसते हुए अपना धनुष उठाकर तेजी से यमदान के समान बांधों को चलकर युद्ध मंडराम रावण को उठक दिया उसे युद्ध भूमि में वाहनों की कल किलाहट धनुषों की डकार राक्षसों के भयंकर गर्जना औरतों की घरघण्हत हाथियों को कीचड़ और घोड़े को चींटी नाहट सभी प्राणियों को लगा जैसे काल प्रलय हो रहा हो तब चलाए गए बड़ों और बड़े-बड़े पर्वतों से राक्षस रावण ढक गए तब प्राप्त पक्ष व युद्ध भूमि में छठ बढ़ होकर भाया अतुल को युद्ध छोड़कर अपनी रमन पूरी लंका में चला गया इस प्रकार श्रीमद् भागवत पुराण के अंतर्गत श्री महादेव भगवान में रावण युद्ध वर्णन अध्याय पूर्ण हुआ
