श्री राम जी बोले ब्राह्मण आप कल्याण हो यह बात सत्य है कि आपके पुत्र वशिष्ठ जी मेरे गुरु हैं आप ही उनके पिता है और इस संसार के पितामह भी आप ही हैं इसलिए देव आप भी मेरे गुरु हुए मैं भगवती चंडिका पूजा करूंगा क्योंकि मैं यूथ करने में स्वयं आसक्त हो और मेरे लिए युद्ध जीतना संभव भी नहीं है फिर भी मैं जगदंबे का की कृपा से मैं रावण को जीत सकता हूं यदि वह रावण भी शुक्ल पक्ष में देवी सुरेश्वरी को पूजा करें और यदि देवी जगदंबे का उसकी पूजा से प्रसन्न होकर स्वयं उसे द्वारा देश देती है तब फिर मैं युद्ध में उसे भयंकर पराक्रमी को कैसे मार पाऊंगा ब्रह्मा जी बोले उन भगवती ने पूर्व में ही बदल दिया है कि युद्ध क्षेत्र में आपके हाथ से उसकी मृत्यु अवश्य होगी इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं राम आपके द्वारा पूजा करने के बाद भी यदि देवी जगदंबिका पुणे यही वर प्रदान करती तो भी युद्ध में निश्चित ही आपकी विजय होगी जब वह पाप आत्मा साक्षात लक्ष्मी स्वरूपिणी पति वार्ता सीता की छाया मूर्ति को सर्वेक्षणों से बलपूर्वक उठा लाया तब वह ही उसे दुष्ट आत्मा रावण के विनाश के लिए रोस्ट होकर भी पति रूप में स्वयं उसके नगर में प्रवेश कर गई जहां धार्मिक बुद्धि है वही शांति समृद्ध और क्रांति का निवास है किंतु जहां धर्म है वहां हुए शिव वह स्वयं विपत्ति के रूप में आ जाती है अहंकार के वशीभूत होकर जो धर्म का उल्लंघन करता है महामति वही भगवती उसके घमंड को छोड़कर देती है रघुनंदन भगवती जगदंबेकर ने इस विषय में मूंछ जो स्वयं बताया था इतिहास सहित उसे मैं आप कहूंगा आप सुन रघु उत्तम जिस प्रकार महामति भगवान महेश्वर पासून है उसे प्रकार मैं भी पूर्व में पांच मुख वाला था रघुनंदन तब मैंने पूर्व काल में एक बार अहंकार के वशीभूत होकर क्रोध पूर्वक भगवान शिव से ऐसा कहा जिसे सुनकर उसे भगवान शंकर ने भयंकर क्रोध करते हुए देखते ही देखते उसी क्षण मेरा पांचवा सर काट डाला तदांतर में चतुर्मुख होकर एक बार भगवान विष्णु के साथ उन सौडेश्वरी जगदंबा को प्रणाम करने के लिए उसके नगर में गया महामति उसे समय भगवान महा रूद्र भी उसे मा दुर्गा को प्रणाम करने हेतु वही आए राम इस प्रकार वहां मैं ब्रह्मा महा विष्णु और भगवान महेश्वर तीनों देवता उन मा दुर्गा के समीप एकत्र हुए महामति उसे समय मैं उसे त्रयोदशी को प्रणाम करके भगवान शंकर के सभी पैसा कहा माता जी आपकी कृपा से गर्वित इन शिव ने देवताओं की सभा में मेरा पांचवा सर पड़कर काट डाला सुरेश्वरी वंदना जगदंबा मेरे किसी अपराध से इस शिव ने मेरा सिर कटा है मेरी इस वचन को सुनकर सुंदर मुख कमल वाली उन जगदंबिका ने मुझे इस प्रकार कहा श्रीदेवी की बोली वात्सल्य में जान को की कर्म ही शुभ फलों और अशोक लोगों को देने वाले हैं पाक संभव शुभ और अशुभ कर्मों का फल देने वाले एक मात्रा में ही स्वतंत्र हूं अन्य कोई नहीं जो जिस प्रकार का सुख अथवा अशुभ कर्म करता है उसे प्रकार उसको सुपाता शुभ फल मिलता है अन्यथा का भी नहीं होता मेरा कोई प्रिया अथवा प्रिया नहीं है अपने किए हुए कर्म का फल मनुष्य आपसे उपभोक्ता है इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है अपनी पुत्री संध्या को देखकर काम के वसीभूत हुए अपने रावण करने के लिए जो विचार किया इस आपको यह फल प्राप्त हुआ ब्राह्मण भगवान शंकर का क्रोध तथा दूसरी सभी बातें में केवल निमित्त मात्र वस्तुएं निश्चित रूप से यह उसे कम का ही फल है प्रावधान जो भी व्यक्ति अपनी पुत्री को देखकर काम चित करता है मेरी इच्छा के कारण ही उसका सर विचलित हो जाता है महामति इसलिए मुझे आदिश्ती के द्वारा ही त्रिशूल से आपका यह सिर काटा गया है इसमें भगवान शंकर का क्या दोष है यह निश्चित जाने के लिए लोगों में धर्म धर्म विरोधियों की मैं एक मात्रा नियंत्रित हूं अन्य कोई नहीं है ब्राह्मण आपका पांचवा मुख भगवान अग्नि के रूप में बना दिया गया इसमें आहुति देने पर सभी देवता साक्षर तृप्ति को प्राप्त करते हैं
