प्रीत का पृथ्वी पर को दिखाना मैथिली जी बोले कि नीति शास्त्र के ज्ञाता है धर्म के पुजारी महात्मा विदुर समस्त ऋषि-मुनियों एवं ज्योतिषियों के चले जाने के पश्चात धर्म और नियम का पालन करते हुए राजा प्रीत राज करने लगे एक दिन उन्होंने राज्य की प्रजा एकत्रित होकर उसके पास है और कहने लगे हैं स्वामी आप हमारे अन्नदाता है राजा का पालन करना राजा का धर्म होता है किंतु आपके राज्य में हम लोग भूखे मर रहे हैं हमारे बालक तड़प रहे हैं भूख की अग्नि से हम सभी व्याकुल हो रहे हैं क्योंकि उनके पापा 4 के कारण पृथ्वी ने सदन में एवं फलों को स्वयं में छिपा लिया हम जो कुछ होते हैं वह पैदा नहीं होते जो पेड़ पहले से लगे हुए हैं उसमें फल नहीं आते आते सुधा पेट शांत करने के लिए हम क्या करें आप धर्मात्मा है धर्म के पालन कर जाते हैं आप कोई ऐसा उपाय करें जिससे पहले की भांति पृथ्वी पर आने लगे और राजा लोग अपने उदर पूर्ति कर सके प्रजा के सम्मुख से इस प्रकार की दुख भरी वाणी सुनकर राजा परीक्षित का पुत्र चरम सीमा पर जा पहुंचा और पृथ्वी के ऊपर अत्यंत क्रोधित होकर अपने धनुष बाण को उठा लिया और पृथ्वी की दिशा में निशाना साध कर बोले ही पृथ्वी तुम सभी जीव जंतु मां कहते हैं किंतु तू हमारे राज्य की प्रजा गुमान ना कर गोरा प्राप्त किया है अतः एक ही बार में हम तुम्हें खंड खंड कर देंगे राजा पृथ्वी क्रोध को देखकर गौरव धरण और पृथ्वी उसके सम्मुख प्रकट हुई गांव रूप धारण करके 3 के सम्मुख प्रकट हुई राजा ज्ञानी थे अपने ज्ञान दल से उन्होंने ग्रुप पृथ्वी को पहचान लिया तो उसके भव्य भक्ति होकर थरथर कांप रही थी फिर भी राजा कितने फुट के कारण धर्म अधर्म का विचार ना किया और जला देने को तत्पर हुए यादें करती थी वहां से बाप चली और भागती हुई सब लोग गए राजा भी उसके पीछे-पीछे रथ पर सवार होकर चल पड़े प्रीति को किसी भी रूप में आश्रय नहीं मिला तब वह राजा प्रीत के सम्मुख खड़ी होकर दीनता पूर्वक बोली है राजन हाथ धर्मात्मा है वेद एवं शाहदरा का आपको पूर्ण ज्ञान है वेदों में लिखा गया है कि गौ हत्या ब्राह्मण हत्या के समान होते हैं उसके वचनों को सुनकर पिता राज बले जिस किसी से प्राणियों को दुख पहुंचे उसे मानना पाप की श्रेणी में नहीं आता पितामह ब्रह्मा ने प्राणियों के रोगों का निवारण करने हेतु वन औषधि उत्पन्न किया मनुष्यों का पेट भरने के लिए आने की उत्पत्ति की जिससे तू अपनी गोद में छिपा ली जिस कारण तुझे मारने से किसी प्रकार का पाप मुझे नहीं लगेगा तब पृथ्वी बोली है राजन मुझे मारने का मतलब पर लाए और पहले होने पर पानी ही पानी हो सकता है उस अवस्था में तुम अपनी प्रजा को कहां रखोगे पृथ्वी के वचन सुनकर प्रीत महाराज कहने लगे तुम्हें इसकी चिंता करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है तुम्हें मारने के बाद अपने तपोबल एवं प्रभु श्री नारायण की कृपा से महाप्रलय से हत्या जल पर अपनी प्रजा को आसरा दूंगा एवं उसकी रक्षा करूंगा राजा की बात सुनकर उनका और आरोपी धारण पृथ्वी को समझते देर न लगी कि राजा प्रीत भगवान श्री नारायण के अवतार हैं यह जो कुछ भी कह रहे हैं उसे कर सकते हैं ऐसा समझकर वह अति विनती होकर बोले हे प्रभु आप मैं आपकी शरण में हूं आता है आपकी जैसी इच्छा हो तो ऐसा व्यवहार मेरे साथ कीजिए मारना चाहते हो तो भी मैं मना नहीं करूंगी
