मुंचु कुंद द्वारा कालिया वन का भरम होना

श्री सुखदेव जी द्वारा महात्मा बोले हे राजा परीक्षित समस्त मथुरा वासियों को द्वारिका भेजने के उपरांत जब नगर से बाहर निकले तो नारद के बताए पहचान के अनुसार पीतांबर वस्त्र और मोर मुकुट धारण किए हुए उन्हें दूर से ही देखकर पहचान गए किंतु उनके हाथ में अस्त्र-शस्त्र ना देखकर विचार करने लगे कि या तो मेरे सम्मुख अस्त्र हिना होकर आया है अतः अस्त्र लेकर युद्ध करना रणभूमि की विरुद्ध है शो उसने अपना आशीर्वाद पर रख दिया और स्वयं निहत्था होकर रात से नीचे कूद पड़ा और ललकार ते हुए बोला हरे कृष्णा तू मेरे सामने बिना वस्त्र के आया है सो माय भी तुझसे खाली हाथ लड़ने के लिए आ रहा हूं उसे अपनी ओर आता देख ले ला बिहारी राम छोड़ कर भाग चले कालिया उस समय जोर-जोर से वार्ता हुआ उसके पीछे दौड़ लगा और कहता भी जा रहा था कि मुझे कम एवं जरा संग मत समझना मैं काल का भी काल हूं इसलिए कारण मेरा नाम कालयान हुआ जरा शाम को हराकर तू यह समझने लगा है कि तेरे सामान वीर पृथ्वी पर नहीं है रणभूमि में पीठ दिखाकर भागना योद्धाओं के लिए राजा जनक होता है यदि तू अपने को पराक्रमी समझता है तो ठहर और मुझ से युद्ध कर हे राजन गालियां आम कि इस प्रकार कहने पर भी श्री श्यामसुंदर ना रुके हुए बातें ही रहे उन्हें बड़े-बड़े ऋषि तपस्वी के परम गतिमान मन नहीं पकड़ पाए उन्हें पकड़ने के लिए तालियां दौड़ रहा था उसे या ज्ञान ना था कि उनकी इच्छा के बिना पकड़ा जाना तो दूर उसका दर्शन कर पाना भी दुर्लभ है हर पग पर कालिया यही समझ रहा था कि आप पकड़ लूंगा किंतु वह दौड़ते दौड़ते थक गया तब श्री कृष्ण जी एक स्थान पर रुक गए और उन्हें इस प्रकार रुका देख कालया ना अपने मन में विचार ने लगा कि शायद वह भी मेरी तरह थक गया है और अब उससे बड़ा नहीं जा रहा है ऐसा विचार करके दुगुने उत्साह से वह उनकी तरफ होना दौड़ पड़ा किंतु सांसारिक प्राणी को यह ज्ञान ना था कि छैला बिहारी से अपने लीला दिखा रहे थे जब वह कृष्ण जी के कुछ निकट आया तो वह पुनः भाग चले और गंद महाधन पर्वत की एक कंदोरा में प्रविष्टि हो गए उस तंदूरा में बहुत दिनों से राजा मूचू कंद सो रहे थे उन्हें देखकर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण मंद मंद मुस्कुराते हुए अपना पितांबर उतारकर उसे उड़ा दिया और स्वयं छिपकर खड़े हो गए उस समय कालिया वध में पागल हो रहा था श्री कृष्णा को कंदरा में प्रविष्ट होते हुए देखा था जब वहां पहुंचा तो पितांबर ओढ़े राजा मुकंद को सोते देख कर अभिमान भरे स्वर में बोला अरे कपटी कृष्णा जो वीर पुरुष होते हैं वह युद्धभूमि छोड़ कर पिया नहीं करते तू बड़ा डरपोक निकला मुझे तो आश्चर्य होता है कि कैसे तूने राजा कंस के भेजे हुए देशों में को मार डाला और उनके बाद मथुरा में आकर महाबली कंस को मारा मुझे संडे हो रहा है कि कंस को मारने वह ला तू नहीं हो सकता क्योंकि तू तो बड़ा डरपोक है मेरे डर से भाग कर तूने यहां आकर सो गया किंतु मेरे हाथों से अब तू नहीं बच सका इस प्रकार के वचन का उच्चारण करते हुए कालिया ने सो रहे राजा मुकंद को जोर से लात मारी प्रहार से उनकी नींद भंग हो गई और उन्होंने अपनी आंखें खोल दी हे राजन जब उसकी दृष्टि कालिया पर पड़ी तो वह कालयान उसी समय उनके तेज से जलकर भस्म हो गया इतनी कथा सुनने के पश्चात श्री सुखदेव जी उन्हें राजा मुकुंद की कथा सुनाते हुए बोले हे राजन मां मां मां के पुत्र राजा मुकन चक्रवर्ती राजा थे उनके तेज प्रताप का जितना भी वर्णन किया जाए कम है वह भूमंडल के आने का एक राजाओं को जीतकर अपने अधीन कर चुके थे उन्होंने पूर्ण कार्य करके अधिक सख्ती कर जीत की एक बार देवता और असुरों के बीच घमासान युद्ध हुआ उस युद्ध में देवताओं की बुरी तरह पराजय हुई और दैत्य विजय हुई तथा इंद्र का इंद्रासन छीन कर स्वयं जा विराजे तब देवराज इंद्र के अधिक उदास होकर अन्य देवताओं को आपने संग लेकर राजामुरूगन की शरण में जाकर सहायता के लिए प्रार्थना करते हुए कहने लगे हे राजा देशों में हमारा राष्ट्र भाषा छीन लिया हम आप की शरण में आए हैं आप हमारी सहायता कीजिए देवताओं के वचन को सुनकर राजा मुकन अस्त्र-शस्त्र से सुसज्जित हो अपने रथ पर बैठा कर देती हूं से लड़ने के लिए चल दिए है राजन दैत्य उस समय अधिक शक्तिशाली हो रहे थे तो उनके लड़ते-लड़ते राजामुरूगन को कई वर्ष विदित हो गए फिर भी देश के ना हारे तत्पश्चात उन दैत्यों का संहार कर के शिव जी के पुत्र कार्तिकेय जी आ गए तब देवराज इंद्र ने उनके निकट जाकर कहा हे राजन आपने हम देवताओं के हित के लिए बहुत समय तक व्यक्तियों से युद्ध किया यह आपका हम पर बहुत बड़ा उपकार है अब आप विश्राम कीजिए क्योंकि आप कार्तिकेय जी हमारी सहायता के लिए आ गए हैं देवराज इंद्र के वचन को सुनकर आजा मुकुल चंद बोले हैं रात में देवराज यदि आप सब निर्भय हो गए हैं तो हमें अति प्रसन्नता है बहुत दिन गुजर गए मुझे अपनी फोटो मियां से वेट किए हुए अतः आप हमें शीघ्र पृथ्वी लोक पर पहुंचाने की व्यवस्था करें जिससे मैं अपनी स्त्री पुत्र आदि से मिल सकूं या सुनकर इंद्र जी कहने लगे हे राजा आप शायद यह नहीं जानते कि देवताओं का 1 दिन मनुष्य के 4 दिन के बराबर होता है फिर आपने यहां वर्षों तक रह कर देते उनसे युद्ध किया अब आप वापस जाकर क्या करेंगे वहां आपके परिवार का कोई प्राणी नहीं मिलेगा यह जानकर आजा मुकंद दुखी हुए उनका मुंह मंडल मालिन हो गया उसी समय देवराज इंद्र ने उन्हें धैर्य दिलाते हुए कहा हे राजन संसार में कोई भी प्राणी अमर नहीं है फिर चिंता क्यों करते हो मृत्यु की अर्थात सत्य है उसे मुस्कुराकर अंगिरा करना चाहिए इस प्रकार इंद्र ने उन्हें धैर्य धारण कराया कर कहा आपने हम देवताओं की रक्षा हेतु बेटियों से बहुत काल तक युद्ध किए हम सब आपके आभारी हैं और प्रसन्न होकर वर देना चाहते हैं मोक्ष गति को छोड़कर कोई भी दुर्लभ परंतु मांगू लो हम तुम्हें प्रदान करेंगे तब राजा मुछुक कांड मैं सोचा कि बहुत दिनों से स्वयं ना कर सका जिसके कारण मेरी इंद्रियां शिथिल हो रही है इसलिए मैं सोना चाहता हूं मुझे ऐसा स्थान बतलाइए जहां मेरी नींद में बाधा ना उत्पन्न हो तब इंद्र ने उन्हें गर्ग मान पर्वत की गुफा में जाकर सोने के लिए कहा और यह वरदान दिया जो भी प्राण तुम्हें जग आएगा वह तुम्हारी दृष्टि पढ़ते ही जलकर भस्म हो जाएगा हे राजा परीक्षित तुम जान चुके हो कि भगवान श्री नारायण ने श्री कृष्णा का रूप धारण कर देवकी के गर्भ से जन्म लिया था सृष्टि में ऐसा कौन सी वस्तु है जो उसकी दिव्य दृष्टि से छिपी हो कण कण में निवास करने वाले श्री नारायण जी यह जानते थे कि इंद्र से इंद्रासन कावर प्राप्त कर राजा मूचू कद गंधमादन पर्वत की गुफा में सो रहे हैं और उन्हें देवताओं के वरदान को भी सत्य सिद्ध करना है इसलिए हुए भाग पर गिरी कंदरा में जा छिपे और अपना दूर चला गुफा में सो रहे मूंछो कान को उड़ा दिए उसके बाद की कथा का वर्णन मैंने तुमसे कर चुका हूं तेरा जन कल्याण के पास में होने के पश्चात उसकी दृष्टि भगवान श्री कृष्ण के श्री मुख पर पड़ी उनका मुख मंडल सैकड़ों सूर्य के समान चमकता दिखाई देकर मुकंद के आंखें में आश्चर्य उभर आया वह एकटक श्री कृष्ण जी को निहारते ही रह गए तब भगवान त्रिलोकी पति ने अपने चतुर्भुज रूप में उन्हें दर्शन दिए उनके दिव्य रूप को देखकर राजा मोटू कानूनी दंडवत प्रणाम करके हाथ जोड़कर कहने लगे आपका मुख चंद्र सूर्य के समान प्रकाशमान है तिब्बत तेज से गुफा का कोना-कोना उजाले से भर गया है मैं नहीं जानता कि आप सूर्य हैं चंद्रमा है अथवा तीनों महान विभूति ब्रह्मा विष्णु महेश में से एक हैं कृपया करके मुझे अपना नाम जन्म एवं गोत्र बताने की कृपा करें जिससे आपका पूरा परिचय मुझे प्राप्त हो मेरा जामु चुकंदर के बिना प्रवचन को सुनकर श्याम सुंदर जी कहने लगे तेरा जब मैं अत्यंत नाम वाला हूं मेरे नाम जन्म तथा कर्म की गाना कर पाना सांसारिक मनुष्यों के ज्ञान से परे है मैं तिलोक दर्शी हूं अंतर्यामी भगवान कहते हैं कछुआ अवतार वाराह अवतार नरसिंह अवतार मत्स्य अवतार आदि मेरे ही रूप है किंतु इस बार पृथ्वी का भार उतारने के लिए माता देवकी के गर्भ से जन्म लिए इसलिए मुझे देवकीनंदन कहते हैं पिता वासुदेव जी हैं इसलिए मेरा एक नाम वासुदेव हुआ मेरा जन्म होने के पश्चात राजा कंस के भय से पिताश्री मुझे अपने मित्र नंद जी के घर पहुंचा दिया मेरा लालन-पालन नंद बाबा ने किया इसलिए मुझे नंदनंदन भी कहते हैं माता यशोदा मुझे प्यार से कन्हैया का कर पुकारती थी तो मेरा एक नाम यह भी है जब मैं नंद बाबा की गई चराने वन में जाने लगा तो एक बंसी मुरली बांसुरी सदैव अपने पास रखने लगा ब्रजवासी मुझे मुरली मनोहर काहे लगे वृंदावन में गोपियों के साथ रासलीला किया करता था वह मुझे श्यामसुंदर कहकर पुकारती थी कुल गुरु गोवत आचार्य ने मेरा नाम करण कर मुझे श्री कृष्ण नाम से विभूति किया हे राजन बाल्यकाल से लेकर अब तक मैंने उतना आकाश असुर बकासुर का कसूर प्रश्नों का सूट और भी अन्य कई राक्षसों का वध करने के पश्चात अपने मामा कंस का हवन कर पृथ्वी से पाप का धार कम किया है राजा जरासंध मुझे 17 बार युद्ध करने आया और हर बार पराजित हुआ तब वहां मेली चंद्रहास कालयान से सहायता भी की भीख मांगी कालिया नुस्का सहायक बंद कर मुझे मारने आया था तो तुम्हारी दृष्टि से जलकर भस्म हो गया भगवान श्री नारायण के मुख से इस प्रकार के वचनों को सुनकर राजा मूछों का अत्यंत दिन होकर उनकी स्तुति करते हुए कहने लगे हे भगवान स्वयं के कारण मेरी समस्त ज्ञान इंद्रियां शिथिल थी जिस कारण मुझे आपके स्वरूप का ज्ञान ना रहा हे स्वामी मुझे अनजाने में अपराध हुआ है और यह चिंता सताए जा रही है कि जिस त्रिभुवन पति का दर्शन प्राप्त करने के लिए ऋषि मुनि ध्यानी तपस्वी हजारों वर्षों तक तपस्या करते हैं उन्हें मैं अपने सम्मुख देख कर भी पहचान ना सका मुझसे बड़ा अभागा कौन होगा यह प्रभु मैं बहुत समय से संसार रूपी माया जाल में फंसा हूं किस प्रकार मैं इस माया रुपी चक्रव्यू से बाहर निकलूंगा तब भगवान श्री कृष्ण सदैव की तरह मुस्कुराते हुए कहने लगे हेमू चूका तू धन्य है और धन्य है तेरा ज्ञान हम तुझ से अति प्रसन्न है अतः तू वर मांगो हम तुम्हें मनचाही वस्तु प्रदान करेंगे हे राजा परीक्षित श्री कृष्ण के वचन सुनकर राजा मुकंद विनम्र भाव से बोले हे जगत् पिता अभिलाषी वह होता है जो सारे के सारे की कामना रखता हो मुझे ऐसी तुच्छ वस्तुओं की इच्छा नहीं है हे स्वामी यदि आप मुझसे प्रसन्न हैं तो मुझे अपने चरणों में स्थान प्रदान करें अपने चरणों की भक्ति दे मुझे आपकी भक्ति के सिवा और कोई भी वस्तु पाने की लालसा नहीं है तब श्री हरि बोले हे राजन् मेरे भक्तों सांसारिक सुख की कामना नहीं करते और तुमने भी नहीं किया जिस प्रकार मैंने भक्त ध्रुव पहला दादी को अपनी निर्मल भक्ति प्रदान कर उन्हें अपने परमधाम भेज दिया वही स्थान तुम्हें भी प्राप्त होगा किंतु क्षत्रिय होने के कारण तुमने बहुत से पशुओं का वध किया है अतः तुम उत्तर दिशा में जाकर तब करो उचित समय आने पर तुम्हें मुक्ति प्राप्त होगी

O lord, if you are pleased with me, then grant me a place at your feet, give me devotion to your feet, I do not have any desire to get anything other than your devotion, then Shri Hari said, O king, my devotees do not wish for worldly happiness and you I didn't even do it the way I did devotee Dhru And first, after giving your pure devotion to your grandmother and sent her to your supreme abode, you will also get the same place, but being a Kshatriya, you have killed many animals, so you go in the north direction and then you will get salvation when the right time comes.
