इतनी कथा सुन कर सूट जी ने कहा ही शौकीन आदि ऋषियों नाराज जी का यह प्रश्न सुनकर ब्रह्मा जी ऐसे प्रेम मगन हुई कि उनकी आंखों से आंसू धारा बाहर निकली उन्हें तन मन स्त्री पुत्र घर द्वार आदि किसी का भी कुछ ध्यान ना रहा बहुत देर बाद जब वह प्राकृतिक स्थल हुए तब शिव शिव कहते तथा शिवजी का ध्यान करते हुए हंस कर बोले हे नारद तुमने बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद है तुमने मेरे संपूर्ण फूल को मुक्त कर दिया है क्योंकि तुम्हारा ह्रदय में भगवान सदाशिव की भक्ति उत्पन्न हुई है इस प्रकार प्रशंसा करने की उपरांत पितामह ब्रह्मा ने नारद जी से कहा है पुत्र मैं सर्वप्रथम अपनी बुद्धि के अनुसार भगवान सदा शिव के निर्गुण चरित्र का वर्णन करूंगा ताड़ूपरान उसकी सद्गुण महिमा को कहूंगा तुमने यह ज्ञान लेना चाहिए कि जिस समय सृष्टि का कहीं चिन्ह भी ना था उसे समय भगवान सदाशिव ही निर्गुण रूप से सर्वत्र व्याप्त सा दिन सच्चिदानंद स्वरूप एक मात्र परम ब्रह्म थे वे भगवान सदा शिव सत्य एवं परमानंद रूप है वह मां तथा वचन के स्वामी है और नाम रूप से हीन है वह किसी के वसीभूत ना तो देखने में आते हैं और ना कोई उनका आदि अनंत ही जानता है वह किसी के वशीभूत ना होकर संपूर्ण सृष्टि के स्वामी बने हुए हैं हुए ही मनुष्यों के कर्मों के साथी हैं तथा सर्व व्यापक होते हुए भी सबसे भिन्न रहते हैं हे नारद उन शिव जी की स्तुति करने से सहस्त्र पान धारी शेषनाग भी हार गए हैं योगी लोग उनका भजन करते हैं परंतु उसके आदि और अंत को नहीं जान पाते हैं वह निर्गुण स्वरूप वाले प्रभु बिना कान के ही सब कुछ सुन सकते हैं बिना आज के ही सब कुछ देख सकते हैं बिना नाक के ही संपूर्ण सुगंधियों को सुन लेते हैं बिना मुख के ही संपूर्ण पदार्थ का भोजन करते हैं बिना जिया के संपूर्ण विद्या को पढ़ते हैं जिन स्वामी की ऐसी विचित्र महिमा है उसकी स्तुति भला किस प्रकार की जा सकती है हे नारद ऐसे निर्गुण स्वरूप भगवान सदा शिव ने जब अपने मन में यह इच्छा की कि हम एक से अधिक हो जाएं उसे समय वह सद्गुण रूप हो जाए उसके निर्गुण एवं सद्गुण रूप में कोई अंतर नहीं है उन्होंने विष्णु और ब्रह्मा को उत्पन्न किया है एवं वह ही संपूर्ण प्राणियों में प्रतिष्ठित विराट स्वरूप है उसके शास्त्रों नाम हैं जिनमें शिव शंकर हरनाथ महेश परम देव वामन देव जगदीश्वर परमेश्वर परमात्मा ब्रह्मा गिरी शंभू सदाशिव न्यास विद्युत पार्वती पति चक्रीय त्रिशूल प्राणी ईश्वर सुख दाता अनाड़ी अनंत सर्व आदि संसार में अधिक प्रसिद्ध है वह भगवान सदाशिव ब्रह्मा एवं विष्णु द्वारा मां प्राप्त करते हैं संपूर्ण सृष्टि को उत्पन्न करने वाले तथा भक्तों को आनंद प्राप्त करने वाले हुए भगवान उमापति ही सूर्य चंद्रमा आदि शास्त्रों गुना से भरी हुई संपूर्ण सृष्टि एवं ब्रह्मा विष्णु तथा रुद्र के उत्पन्न करता है इस प्रकार भगवान सदा शिव अपने शस्त्रों नाम से संपूर्ण लोगों में प्रसिद्ध है हे नारद अब तुम उसे त्रिशूल पानी भगवान शिव के उसे सद्गुण स्वरूप का वर्णन सुनो जिसको स्मरण करने से ही संपूर्ण पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं अपने सद्गुण स्वरूप में वह मस्तक पर जाता झूठ एवं गंगा जी को धारण किए हैं उनके बाल पर चंद्रमा की कला एवं धनुष का आकार त्रिपुंड विराजमान है वे कानों में कुंडल पहने हैं और सूर्य चंद्रमा तथा अग्नि के समान तीन लाल नेत्रों को धारण किए हैं उनका प्रभात कालीन सूर्य के समान पहले मुख्य पूर्व दिशा की ओर रहता है तथा दूसरा मुख दक्षिण दिशा की ओर उसके कांठ में तीन लकीरें हैं उसे कांड में विराजित हलाहल की श्यामंता भक्तों के मन को न्यास ही कर लेते हैं वह अपने गले में मंडों की माला धारण किए रहते हैं और हाथ में त्रिशूल लिए रहते हैं उन्हें कोई चतुर्भुज और कोई पांच कहता है कोई ने उन्हें 10 भुजा धारी भी कहा है वह अपने उन हाथों में भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकार के शस्त्र लिए रहते हैं उंगलियों में सुकुमाल एवं वरुण प्रयायुक्त ऐसे संपूर्ण कल धारी भगवान सदाशिव के पवित्र स्वरूप का स्मरण बड़े-बड़े तपस्वी तथा मुनीजा निश्चल भाव से किया करते हैं

Only one knows His beginning and end, He is not subservient to anyone, He is the master of the entire creation, He is the companion of the actions of human beings and despite being all-pervasive, He remains different from all others. O Narad, by praising that Lord Shiva, He becomes the bearer of thousands of betel leaves. Sheshnag has also been defeated. Yogis worship him but are not able to know his beginning and end. That Lord of the formless form can hear everything without ears, can see everything without a nose, is the perfect perfumer. We listen to this, eat all the food without mouth, read the entire knowledge without living, how can we praise the Lord who has such strange glory, O Narada, when Lord Shiva, in such a formless form, has always in his mind I wished that we should become more than one, that at that time he should become virtuous, there is no difference between his nirgun and virtuous form, he has created Vishnu and Brahma and he is the supreme form established among all the living beings, his scriptures have names.
