ब्रह्मा जी बोले हे नारद शिव जी के ऐसे वचन सुनकर गिरिजा ने ब्राह्मणों को बुलाकर शुद्ध मन से नियम अनुसार व्रत का आरंभ किया तथा अनेक प्रकार की वस्तुएं चढ़कर हुए भी गणपति को भेंट की फिर उन्होंने उत्तम रीति से ब्रह्म भोज कर स्वयं भी भोजन किया इसी प्रकार गिरजा प्रति मास व्रत रखकर भली प्रकार दान दक्षिणा देती रही जब 1 वर्ष पूरा हो गया तो उन्हें ध्यान दक्षिण आदि देखकर एक वृहद उत्सव का आयोजन किया जिसमें बहुत गाना बजाना हुआ व्रत पूर्ण होने के पश्चात गिरजा अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुई उन्होंने शिवजी की और बारंबार देखा तब शिवजी ने उन्हें अपना माया जान कर अपने हृदय से लगा लिया फिर गिरजा का मनोरथ समझ कर शिवजी ने चंदन के एक वैन में जो उसे पर्वत पर ही था और जहां सुख की संपूर्ण सामग्री उपलब्ध थी जाकर गिरजा के साथ बिहार किया तब गणपति उसे स्थान पर ऐसा स्वरुप बनकर आए कि वह बहुत भूखे प्यासे नंगे दरिद्र सूरत कैसे मस्तक पर श्वेत तिलक लगाए महादेव कौवे का शब्द बोलते हुए दांत मिले कुछ ले हाथ में डंडा लिए तथा बहुत ही दुर्बल थे हुए दुखियंट हुए शिव जी से बोल ही शिव तुम क्या करते हो 7 दिन से हमने कुछ नहीं खाया है सो हम बहुत भूखे हैं हमें भजन चाहिए तुम हमें भोजन करवा कर जल पियो या सुनकर शिवजी तुरंत उठ खड़े हुए जिससे उनका वीर्य उसी स्थान में गिर पड़ा गिरजा भी तुरंत उठकर अपने वस्त्र कहीं शिवाज के साथ द्वार पर आई उन्होंने ब्राह्मण को प्रणाम किया तथा बड़ी स्तुति की शिवजी उसे इस प्रकार बोले है ब्राह्मण तुम्हारा नाम क्या है हमारा सौभाग्य है जो तुम यहां पधारे इस समय तुम यहां आई स्वरूप में हमारे यहां आओ अतिथि की सेवा के सुख के बराबर अन्य कोई धर्म नहीं है गिरिजा ने भी कहा हे ब्राह्मण ऐसी धूप में तुम कहां से पधारे हो जो गृहस्थ अतिथियों के चरणों को जल से धोकर उसे चरण अमित को पीता है उसे सब तीरथ का फल प्राप्त होता है या सुनकर उसे ब्राह्मण ने कहा है गिरजे तुम धन्य हो मैं बहुत ही भूखा प्यासा हूं कृपा कर तुम मुझको भोजन तथा जल दो गिरिजा ने इस समय ब्रह्मांड को उत्तम उत्तम भोजन कारण भोजन करने के पश्चात ब्रह्मांड ने तृप्त होकर प्रसन्नता पूर्वक कहा है गिरजे तुम्हारे कामना पूर्ण हो तुमको संसारी रीति के विरुद्ध ऐसा पुत्र की प्राप्ति हो जो गर्व से उत्पन्न ना हो यह कहकर वह ब्रह्मांड अंतर ध्यान हो गया था दो प्रांत हुए गणपति शिव गिरज की सालिया में जहां वीर्य पड़ा हुआ था मुख्य रूप से प्रगट हुआ बालकों के समान घोड़ा सूर्य की ज्योति धारण किए कर्म कामदेव के समान सुंदर शरीर धारण किए चंपा के समान हाथ पांव तथा कमलवंत कोमल आपको वाले चयन में इधर-उधर फिर रहे थे यह नारद जब शिव एवं गिरिजा ने देखा कि आप ब्राह्मण एकदम अंतर ध्यान हो गया तो वह दोनों उसे चारों ओर ढूंढने लगे उन्हें अपने मन में बहुत दुख तथा कष्ट हुआ इतने में यह आकाशवाणी हुई है गिरजे तुम संसार की माता हो वह ब्राह्मण रूप धारी स्वयं गणपति थे हुए तुम्हारा व्रत से प्रसन्न होकर आप शिशु के सामान तुम्हारे बीच होने पर पड़े हैं तो उन्हें जाकर देखो योगी जिनका ध्यान करते हैं वह तुम्हारे पुत्र हुए हैं आप घर में जाकर आनंद मनाओ यह आकाशवाणी सुनकर गिरजा प्रसन्न होकर मंदिर में गए वहां देखा कि एक अत्यंत सुंदर बालक हंस-हंसकर सालियों पर पड़ा खेल रहा है गिरिजा ने तुरंत ही यह सब वृतांत शिवजी को जा सुनाया और कहा है स्वामी आप शीघ्र चलकर देखें गणपति के व्रत का फल प्राप्त हो गया है या सुनकर शिवजी ने भी अंदर जाकर उसे बालक को दिखा

Brahma Ji said, O Narada. On hearing such words of Shiv Ji, Girija called the Brahmins and started the fast according to the rules with a pure heart and offered many types of things to Ganpati. Then she herself also ate after having Brahma Bhojan in a very good manner. Similarly, Girija kept fasting every month and kept giving donations in a good way. When one year was completed, after seeing them meditating, dakshina etc., a grand festival was organized in which a lot of singing and dancing took place. After the completion of the fast, Girija was very happy. She looked at Shiv Ji again and again. Then Shiv Ji, knowing her to be his Maya, embraced her. Then understanding the desire of Girija, Shiv Ji went to a sandalwood van which was on the mountain itself and where all the material of happiness was available and did lodging with Girija. Then Ganpati came to that place in such a form that he was very hungry, thirsty, naked, poor, with a white Tilak on his forehead, Mahadev was speaking the voice of a crow, had teeth, some teeth, was holding a stick in his hand and was very weak and miserable. He asked Shiv Ji, Shiv Ji, what do you do for 7 days? We have not eaten anything since then, so we are very hungry, we want bhajans, you feed us and drink water. On hearing this, Shivji immediately stood up, due to which his semen fell at the same place. Girija also immediately got up and took off her clothes. She came to the door with Shivaji. She bowed to the Brahmin and praised him a lot. Shivji said to her in this way, Brahmin, what is your name? It is our good fortune that you have come here at this time. Come to us in this form. There is no other religion equal to the pleasure of serving a guest. Girija also said, O Brahmin, from where have you come in such heat. The householder who washes the feet of guests with water and drinks the water from his feet, gets the fruits of all the pilgrimages. On hearing this, the Brahmin said, Girija, you are blessed, I am very hungry and thirsty. Kindly give me food and water. Girija at this time gave the universe the best food. After eating the food, the universe, being satisfied, said happily, Girija, may your wish be fulfilled. May you get such a son against the worldly custom, who is not born out of pride. Saying this, the universe went into internal meditation. Ganapati Shiva appeared in the hut of Girija where the semen was lying, a horse like a child appeared, wearing the light of the sun, having a beautiful body like Karma Kamadeva, hands and feet like Champa and lotus-like soft body, this Narad was roaming here and there in the hut. When Shiv and Girija saw that you Brahmin had completely lost his inner concentration, both of them started searching for him everywhere. They felt very sad and pained in their hearts. Meanwhile, this voice was heard from the sky, Girija you are the mother of the world, that Brahmin in the form of Ganapati himself, pleased with your fast, is lying among you like a child, so go and see him, the one whom the Yogis meditate on, he is your son, you go home and celebrate. Hearing this voice from the sky, Girija happily went to the temple and saw that a very beautiful child was lying on the hut and playing laughing. Girija immediately narrated all this to Shivji and said, Swami, you go quickly and see whether you have got the fruit of Ganapati's fast or not. On hearing this, Shivji also went inside and showed the child to him.
