ब्रह्मा जी बोले हे नारद योगिनियों के लौटने में जब विलंब हुआ तब शिवजी ने चिंतित होकर सूर्य को यह आज्ञा दी है सूर्य आप तो काशी में जाकर यह समाचार लो की योगिनी गांड आप तक क्यों नहीं लौटी है इसके साथ ही तुम किसी उपाय द्वारा राजा देवदास को धर्म फर्स्ट करने का भी पर्यटन करना जिससे वह राजहीन हो जाए परंतु यह ध्यान रखना कि राजा त्रयोदशी परम धार्मिक है उसकी किसी प्रकार अप्रतिष्ठित होने नहीं पाए है सूर्य तुम त्रिभुवन में श्रेष्ठ हो तथा तुम्हारा नाम जैक क्यों प्रसिद्ध है अस्तु तुम अपनी बुद्धिमानी से राजा देव दास को धर्म मार्ग से हटकर या लौट आओ हे नारद भगवान सदा शिव की आज्ञा पाकर सूर्य भी अपने स्वरूप को बदलकर काशी में जा पहुंचे वहां उन्होंने भिखारी ज्योतिषी दरिद्र योगी जटाधारी परमहंस दिगंबर छली तथा मतीन आदि अनेक प्रकार के रूप धारण किए कहीं उन्हें इंद्रजाल को फैलाया कहीं ब्रह्म ज्ञान को प्रकट किया कहीं वेद के विरोध प्रचार किया कहीं मिस समाजशास्त्र की व्याख्या की कहानी ब्राह्मण बन कहानी राजकुमार हुए कहे सर्वे ज्ञात बने और कहीं अपने को तत्वज्ञानी के रूप में प्रकट किया परंतु तो भी हुए राजा देवदास के राज में किसी को भी अधर्मी ना बन सके इस प्रकार जब एक वर्ष बीत गया और उनके किए हुए ना हो सका तो उन्होंने मन मे देवदास के राज में किसी को भी अधर्मी ना बन सके इस प्रकार जब एक वर्ष बीत गया और उनके किए हुए ना हो सका तो उन्होंने मन में विचार किया कि मेरा यहां आकर कुछ भी वंश नहीं चल सका आप यदि मैं सफल मनोरथ होकर शिव के पास लव तू तो वह मुझे अपने क्रोध से भस्म कर डालेंगे उसे समय ब्रह्मा और विष्णु भी मुझे नहीं बचा सकेंगे इसलिए मुझे उचित है कि मैं शिवजी की आज्ञा उल्लंघन के पाप से बचने के लिए यह काशी में रह जाऊं कहां से शिवजी का ही स्वरुप है और इसके सेवन का बड़ा धर्म कहा गया है इसलिए मुझे सब और से अपना मन हटाकर यही निवास करना चाहिए हे नारद इसके उपरांत सूर्य ने यह विचार किया कि शिवजी की आज्ञा का पालन करना मेरा धर्म था उसे पालन करने में असमर्थ रहने के कारण मुझे पाप लग सकता है इसलिए ही उचित है कि मैं यहां से लौट कर नहीं जाऊंगा धर्म के विपरीत आधार और काम का सेवन नहीं करना चाहिए कुछ लोग यह कहते हैं कि अर्थ रक्षा करना धर्म है वह उचित नहीं है क्योंकि राजा हरिश्चंद्र उसे तथा यतिन ने धर्म को ना छोड़ते हुए अपने शरीर को त्याग देना स्वीकार किया जिसके कारण उन्हें मोक्ष पर प्राप्त हुआ इसके पश्चात ही राजा बलि विरोचन तथा प्रह्लाद ने भी धर्म की रक्षा के लिए दुख उठाए अतः सबको त्याग कर धर्म की रक्षा करना ही उचित है काशी सेवन करने से बढ़कर और कोई धर्म नहीं है

So that no one could become unrighteous. Thus when one year passed and his efforts could not be fulfilled, he thought in his mind that no one could become unrighteous in the rule of Devdas. I may incur sins due to being unable to obey it. Therefore, it is appropriate that I will not return from here. One should not use Aadhar and Kama which are contrary to religion. Some people say that protecting wealth is religion, but that is not right because King Harischandra and Yatin had disobeyed him and said that religion is a great religion. Instead of giving up, he accepted to give up his body due to which he attained salvation. After this, King Bali, Virochana and Prahlad also suffered for the protection of religion. Hence, it is right to protect religion by giving up everything. There is no better religion than visiting Kashi.
