ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद इस प्रकार रात्रि भर शिव जी के चित्रों का वर्णन करते हुए तथा उसकी महिमा का गुणगान करते हुए राजा का पूरा समय एक पल के समान व्यतीत हो गया उसे अपने मन मे शत्रुओं का कुछ भी भरना रहा प्रातः काल होने पर अन्य राजाओं ने अपने दूधों द्वारा शिवजी का यह चरित्र सुना अस्तु हुए सब शास्त्रों को त्याग कर राजा चंद्रसेन की शरण में गए राजा चंद्र सेन ने उनका अत्यंत स्वागत सत्कार किया तब वह सब लोग महाकाल के दर्शन करने के उपरांत गोपी के भवन में गए और उसकी अत्यंत प्रशंसा करने लगे जब उन्होंने गोपी पुत्र द्वारा स्थापित शिवलिंग को देखा तो सबके हृदय में शिव भक्ति का संचार हुआ हे नारद उसे समय वहां एक बड़ी भरी सभा का आयोजन कर संपूर्ण पृथ्वी पर जितने भी गोप थे उसे बालक को उन सब का राजा बनाया गया उसे समय हनुमान जी भी वहां प्रकट हुए हनुमान जी को देखकर सब राजा उठकर खड़े हो गए तथा अत्यंत प्रसन्नता से भरकर उसकी स्तुति करते हुए बोले हे प्रभु हमारे बड़े भाग्य हैं जो अपने यहां आकर हमें दर्शन दिए राजाओं की या प्रार्थना सुनकर हनुमान जी ने सबको आशीर्वाद दिया तदुपरांत उन्होंने गोपी पुत्र को अपनी गोद में उठाकर सब राजाओं को संबोधित करते हुए या कहा है राजाओं शिवजी का या महाकाल नमक लिंग अत्यंत प्रताप वहां सबको सुख पहुंचाने वाला सब प्रकार के दुखों को नष्ट करने वाला भक्तों को आनंद प्रदान करने वाला तथा शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाला है कल तेरा तिथि शनिचर का दिन था उसमें प्रदोष के समय इस गोपी पुत्र ने शिवजी का पूजन किया इस सेवा से प्रसन्न होकर महाकाल ने इसे राजा चंद्रसेन सहित किरदार कर दिया है कृष्ण पक्ष के शनिवार में जो प्रदोष व्रत होता है उसकी महिमा अपार होती है ऐसे सुख योग को पकड़ जो मनुष्य महाकाल की पूजा नहीं करता उससे अधिक भाग्यहीन और कौन है हे राजा हूं इस बालक ने कल के दिन ऐसे ही शुभ योग में महाकाल का पूजा किया था इस बालक की आठवीं पीढ़ी में नव नामक एक गोप उत्पन्न होगा वह गोपी शिव जी का परम भक्त होगा तथा इस बालक के द्वारा स्थापित गोपेश्वर शिवलिंग का पूजन करेगा उसे समय शिवजी की आज्ञा से विष्णु जी नंद गोप के घर उसके पुत्र रूप में अवतार लेंगे हुए कृष्ण नाम से प्रसिद्ध होंगे संसार में आज से इस बालक का नाम श्री कृष्णा होगा इतना कह कर हनुमान जी ने श्री कृष्ण को शिव जी के पूजन की विधि बताई साधु प्रांत हुए राजा चंद्रसेन एवं श्री कृष्णा पर अनुग्रह करके अंतर ध्यान हो गए अन्य सब राजा भी चंद्रसेन से आज्ञा प्राप्त कर अपने-अपने राज को लौट गए हनुमान जी की आज्ञा अनुसार श्री कृष्णा शिवजी की यथा विधि पूजन करने लगा और अंत में राजा चंद्रसेन सहित परम पथ को प्राप्त हुआ है नारद इस महाकाल ज्योतिर्लिंग की ऐसी ही अपार महिमा है जो प्राणी इस परम पुनीत चरित्र को पड़ता सुनता अथवा दूसरों को सुनता है उसे भी दोनों लोक में आनंद प्राप्त होता है

Brahma Ji said, O Narada, in this way, the whole night, while describing the images of Lord Shiva and praising his glory, the entire time of the king passed like a moment. He kept thinking about his enemies in his mind. In the morning, other kings heard this story of Lord Shiva through their milkmaids. They left all the scriptures and went to the shelter of King Chandrasen. King Chandrasen welcomed them very warmly. Then all of them went to the palace of Gopi after having darshan of Mahakal and started praising her a lot. When they saw the Shivling established by Gopi's son, Shiv devotion filled everyone's heart. O Narada, at that time a big gathering was organized there and all the gopas on the entire earth were made the king of them all. At that time Hanuman Ji also appeared there. Seeing Hanuman Ji, all the kings stood up and praised him with great happiness and said, O Lord, we are very fortunate that you came to our place and gave us darshan. After listening to the prayers of the kings, Hanuman Ji blessed everyone. Thereafter, he lifted Gopi's son in his lap and addressed all the kings. It is said to kings that the ling of Lord Shiva or Mahakaal has immense glory, which brings happiness to everyone, destroys all kinds of sorrows, gives joy to devotees and destroys enemies. Yesterday, the thirteenth date was Saturday, in that, at the time of Pradosh, this Gopi's son worshipped Lord Shiva. Pleased with this service, Mahakal made him a king along with King Chandrasen. The Pradosh fast which is observed on Saturday of Krishna Paksha has immense glory. Who is more unfortunate than the person who does not worship Mahakaal by catching hold of such a happy yoga? O king, this boy worshipped Mahakaal yesterday on such an auspicious yoga. In the eighth generation of this boy, a Gop named Nav will be born. That Gopi will be a great devotee of Lord Shiva and will worship the Gopeshwar Shivling established by this boy. At that time, by the order of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu will incarnate in the house of Nand Gop as his son and will be famous by the name Krishna in the world from today, this boy's name will be Shri Krishna. Saying this, Hanuman told Shri Krishna the method of worshipping Lord Shiva. King Chandrasen became a saint and by blessing Shri Krishna, went into meditation. All the other kings too returned to their kingdoms after taking permission from Chandrasen. As per Hanuman ji's order, Shri Krishna started worshipping Lord Shiva in the proper way and finally, along with King Chandrasen, attained the ultimate path. Narad, such is the immense glory of this Mahakal Jyotirlinga. The person who reads and listens to this pious story or narrates it to others, he too gets happiness in both the worlds.
