शिव महापुराण कथाा नवा खंड अध्याय 5

ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद पांच अक्षर मंत्र परम श्रेष्ठ है तथा इसकी महिमा अत्यंत आनंद है इस मंत्र का जाप करने से सभी सिद्धियां प्राप्त होती है तथा सहस्त्र पापों का नाश होता है वेदों ने भी इस मंत्र द्वारा सिद्धि प्राप्त की है सच्चिदानंद स्वरुप भगवान सदाशिव इस मंत्र में सदैव स्थित रहते हैं जो मनुष्य सांसारिक सुखों से लिप्त होकर अपने जीवन को नष्ट कर रहे हैं उसके कल्याण के हेतु भगवान सदाशिव ने इस मंत्र को प्रकट किया है हे नारद या पांच अक्षरी मंत्र पापों के समुद्र को बढ़ अग्नि के समान तथा दोष को नष्ट करने में अग्नि के समान है सभी मनुष्य इसके अधिकारी हैं हे नारद ब्राह्मण से बढ़कर सद्गुरु अन्य कोई नहीं है क्योंकि अन्य सभी वन ब्राह्मण के शिष्य कहलाते हैं गृहस्थ मनुष्य को उचित है कि अपने से नीचे कुंवर वाले को अपना ग्रुप कभी ना बने अन्यथा उसे बड़ा पाप लगता है मंत्र की महिमा के संबंध में हम तुम्हें एक इतिहास सुनते हैं जो अत्यंत पवित्र तथा पाप को नष्ट करने वाला है हे नारद यदुवंश में द नामक एक अत्यंत प्रतापी राजा हुआ वह सब शास्त्रों का पंडित महायुद्ध परमवीर धर्मात्मा संतोषी शत्रु विजय सुंदर सिलवान युद्ध में चतुर्थ तथा शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाला था उसने काशी के राजा की पुत्री कलावती के साथ अपना विवाह किया हुआ स्त्री भी परम सुंदरी तथा पतिव्रता थी एक दिन राजा दहाने अंतापुर में पहुंचकर अनेक प्रकार के उपवास्त्र आभूषणों से अलंकृत अपनी पत्नी के साथ मिथुन करना चाहा परंतु कलावती ने उसे ऐसा करने से मना किया यह देखकर राजा ने उसके बलपूर्वक भोग करने इच्छा प्रकट की तब कलावती ने हाथ जोड़कर विनय करते हुए कहा है राजा आप मुझे स्पर्श न करें क्योंकि आप धर्म तथा धर्म को जानने वाले हैं इसके अतिरिक्त या बाद भी है कि यदि शीघ्रता में कोई कार्य किया जाता है तो उसका परिणाम अच्छा नहीं होता है मैं इस समय व्रत धारण किए हुए है राजन वेद का कथन है कि छह प्रकार की स्त्रियों से भोग करना उचित नहीं है पहली उसे स्त्री से जो अपने पति से प्रेम ना करती हो दूसरी उससे जो रोजनी हो तीसरी वह जो गर्भवती हो चौथी वह जो किसी व्रत अथवा नियम संयम को धारण किए हुए हो पांचवी हुआ जो कामदेव से रहित हो अर्थात नागपुर उसी का हो छठवीं वह जो मासिक धर्म में है आज तो मैं इस समय व्रत में हूं तो आप मेरा व्रत भंग करने वाले कार्य न करें हे नारद इस प्रकार कलावती ने राजा को बहुत कुछ समझाया परंतु काम के वशीभूत होने के कारण राजा ने उसे पर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया तथा उसके साथ बलपूर्वक संभोग किया भला संसार में ऐसा कौन सा प्राणी है जो कामदेव पर विजय प्राप्त कर सके वास्तु भोग करने के उपरांत राजा का हृदय आकाश में जलने लगा तब वहां घबरा कर अपना रानी से इस प्रकार बोला है प्रिया मुझे भूख करने की और अधिक इच्छा थी परंतु यह देखकर आश्चर्य हो रहा कि तुम ऐसा कौन लगी होती हुए भी कठोर क्यों कर हो तुम्हारा संपूर्ण शरीर अग्नि के समान प्रज्वलित हो रहा है जिस प्रकार में तुम्हें अपनी हृदय से लगाता हूं उसे समय मेरा संपूर्ण शरीर जलने लगता है हे नारद राजा कैसे वचन सुनकर रानी ने हंसते हुए उत्तर दिया है स्वामी मैं आपको इसका कारण बताती हुई एक बार दुर्वासा ऋषि मेरे पिता के घर पधारे थे माय उन दिनों छोटी थी उसे समय दुर्वासा ने शुभ घड़ी में मुझे शिव जी के पांच अक्षर मंत्र का उपदेश किया तथा अन्य अनेक मंत्र भी दिए इसके कारण मेरा शरीर निष्पाप हो गया है अपने राज के मध्य में डेविचारिणी स्त्रियों तथा मद्यपान करने वाली स्त्रियों के साथ भोग किया है आप ना तो प्रतिदिन स्नान करते हैं और ना कभी शिव भक्तों का स्वरूप धारण कर पंचाक्षरी मंत्र का जाप करते हुए शिवजी का पूजन की करते हैं यही कारण है कि मुझे स्पर्श करके आपका शरीर जलने लगता है हे नारद रानी के मुख से यह वचन सुनकर राजा ने अत्यंत आश्चर्य में भरकर कहा है प्रिया तुम मुझे भी वह मंत्र बता दो जिसका जाप करने से संपूर्ण पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं यह दो चीज भोग किए बिना मुझे प्रसन्नता नहीं मिल सकेगी आज तो मुझे यह शुभ प्रदान करने का अतिरिक्त उचित है कि तुम मुझे भी निष्पाप बना देने का प्रयास करो यह सुनकर रानी ने उत्तर दिया है राजन मैं आपकी पत्नी तथा स्त्री हूं अतः आपको चाहिए कि आप अपने पुरोहित गर्ग मनी से मंत्र दीक्षा ले यह सुनकर राजा अपनी पत्नी को साथ ले गर्भ मुनि की सेवा में जा पहुंचा और उन्हें दंडवत करने के उपरांत किस प्रकार प्रार्थना करने लगा है प्रभु आप मुझे मंत्र का उपदेश कर किरदार कीजिए राजा की प्रार्थना सुनकर गर्ग मुनि उन दोनों को साथ लेकर यमुना जी के तट पर पहुंचे वहां सब उचित क्रियो को संपन्न करने के उपरांत उन्होंने राजा को पांच अक्षरी मंत्र का उपदेश किया हे नारद उसे मंत्र का उपदेश प्राप्त करने ही राजा के मुंह से संपूर्ण पाप अपने आप निकले जब राजा ने गरगाड़ी से प्रार्थना करते हुए यह पूछा है प्रभु आप मुझे इस चरित्र का कारण बताइए कि मेरे मुख से अग्नि क्यों निकलती है गंगाजी ने उत्तर दिया हे राजन तुम्हें बड़े-बड़े पाप करते हुए से वह वर्ष व्यथित हो गए जब तुम्हारे पूर्ण या और पाप बराबर हुए तब तुम्हें इस जन्म में मनुष्य शरीर को प्राप्त किया है आप शिवजी का मंत्र ग्रहण करने के कारण तुम्हारे बाप हृदय से सभी छोटे बड़े पाप जलते हुए पत्थरों के समान मुख से बाहर निकल पड़े हैं आज तो अब तुम निष्पाप खोज गए हो हे नारद राजा खाया बताने को प्रात गर्ग जी ने पंचाक्षरी मंत्र की महिमा का वर्णन करते हुए गुना किस प्रकार कहा है राजन या मंत्र सभी अन्य सभी मित्रों का सम्राट है तथा शिव जी का परंपरिया है या संपूर्ण मनोरथ को सिद्ध करने वाला तथा दोनों लोग में अपन को नष्ट करने वाला है शिवजी इस मंत्र किया अक्षर रूप से विराजमान है यह मंत्र उसके मुख्य वचन के समान है वस्तु इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि इस पंचाचारी मंत्र जाप करने से शिवजी की प्राप्ति अवश्य होती है इतनी कथा सुना कर ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद पंचाक्षरी मंत्र की महिमा का वर्णन कर गर्ग मुनि प्रेम में मांगना हो गए राजा तथा रानी भी इस महिमा को सुनकर आनंद रूपी समुद्र में डूबने लगे जब गर्ग जी की चैतन्यता प्राप्त हुई तो वह राजा दसदा से बोले हे राजन अब तुम पापों से रहित हो चुके आज तो अपने राजधानी को लौट जाओ वहां पर अपनी पत्नी के साथ या छेद आनंद लब करना इस आजा को का का राजा दर्शन अपने घर लौट आया तब प्रात जब उसने अपनी रानी के साथ मिथुन किया तो रानी का शरीर चंदन के समान शीतल प्रतीत हुआ इस कथा को जो मनुष्य सुनता पड़ता अथवा दूसरों को सुनता है उनका भी अत्यंत कल्याण होता है

Brahma Ji said, O Narada, the five letter mantra is the best and its glory is immense bliss. Chanting this mantra gives all the siddhis and destroys thousands of sins. Vedas have also attained siddhi through this mantra. Lord Sadashiv, the embodiment of Sachchidananda, is always situated in this mantra. For the welfare of those people who are ruining their lives by indulging in worldly pleasures, Lord Sadashiv has revealed this mantra. O Narada, this five letter mantra is like fire in increasing the sea of ​​sins and is like fire in destroying the faults. All men are entitled to it. O Narada, there is no Sadguru better than Brahmin because all others are called disciples of Van Brahmin. It is appropriate for a householder to never make a prince below him his group, otherwise he commits a great sin. Regarding the glory of mantra, we tell you a story which is very sacred and destroys sins. O Narada, in Yaduvansh, there was a very glorious king named D, he was a scholar of all the scriptures, great war, Paramveer, Dharmatma Santoshi, Shatru Vijay Sundar, Silwan war. He was the fourth among them and was the one who would conquer his enemies. He married Kalavati, the daughter of the King of Kashi. The woman he married was also very beautiful and devoted to her husband. One day, reaching Antapur, the king wanted to have sexual intercourse with his wife adorned with many types of fasting ornaments, but Kalavati refused to do so. Seeing this, the king expressed his desire to enjoy her forcefully. Then Kalavati, with folded hands, requested and said, "King, do not touch me because you are a knower of Dharma and Dharma. Besides this, it is also true that if any work is done in haste, then its result is not good. I am observing a fast at this time. Rajan, the Vedas say that it is not appropriate to have sexual intercourse with six types of women. First, a woman who does not love her husband. Second, one who is diligently fasting. Third, one who is pregnant. Fourth, one who is observing some fast or rule of restraint. Fifth, one who is devoid of Kamadev, that is, hers. Sixth, one who is menstruating. Today, I am observing a fast at this time, so you do not do anything that breaks my fast. Don't do it, O Narada. In this way Kalavati explained a lot to the king, but being under the influence of lust, the king did not pay any attention to her and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her. Well, which creature is there in the world who can conquer Kaamdev? After having sexual intercourse, the king's heart started burning in the sky. Then he got scared and said to the queen in this way. Priya, I wanted to have sex more, but I am surprised to see that why are you so harsh despite being so close. Your whole body is burning like fire. The way I hug you to my heart, my whole body starts burning. O Narada, the king. Hearing such words, the queen replied smilingly. Swami, I am telling you the reason for this. Once sage Durvasa had come to my father's house. I was young in those days. At that time, Durvasa preached the five-syllable mantra of Lord Shiva to me in the auspicious hour and also gave me many other mantras. Due to this, my body has become sinless. In the middle of his kingdom, he used to have sexual relations with promiscuous women and women who drink alcohol. You neither take bath daily nor do you ever worship Lord Shiva by assuming the form of a Shiva devotee and chanting the Panchakshari mantra. This is the reason that your body starts burning on touching me. O Narada. Hearing these words from the queen, the king was very surprised and said, dear, you tell me that mantra too, by chanting which all sins are destroyed. I will not be able to find happiness without enjoying these two things. Today, it is more appropriate to grant me this blessing that you try to make me sinless too. Hearing this, the queen replied, king, I am your wife and woman, therefore, you should take mantra initiation from your priest Garg Mani. Hearing this, the king took his wife along and went to the service of Garbha Muni and after prostrating to him, started praying, Lord, please teach me the mantra and play the role of a saint. Hearing the king's prayer, Garg Muni took both of them along and reached the banks of Yamuna ji. There, after completing all the appropriate rituals, he taught the king the five-lettered mantra. O Narada, the king got up on receiving the teachings of the mantra. All the sins came out of his mouth automatically when the king prayed to Gargadi and asked this - Lord, please tell me the reason for this act, why does fire come out of my mouth? Gangaji replied - O King, you have been troubled for years by committing big sins. When all your sins were equal, then you have got a human body in this birth. Due to accepting Shivji's mantra, all the small and big sins from your heart have come out of your mouth like burning stones. Today you have become sinless. O Narada, the king. In the morning, Gargji while describing the glory of the Panchakshari Mantra has said how it is called - O King, this mantra is the emperor of all other friends and is the tradition of Shivji. It fulfils all the wishes and destroys the differences between the two. Shivji is present in the syllable form of this mantra. This mantra is like its main word. There is no doubt that by chanting this Panchachari Mantra, one definitely attains Shivji. After narrating this much story, Brahmaji said - O Narada Importance of Panchakshari MantraBy describing Mother, Garg Muni became enamoured with love. The king and the queen also started drowning in the ocean of bliss on hearing this glory. When Garg Ji gained consciousness, he said to King Dasda, O King, now you are free from sins, today return to your capital and enjoy the company of your wife there. The king returned to his home after seeing this story. Then in the morning when he had sexual intercourse with his queen, the body of the queen felt as cool as sandalwood. The person who listens to this story or makes others listen to it, also attains great welfare.
