मारकंडे जी कहते हैं जब पुत्र के बहुत कहने पर भी राजा ने दूसरी कोई वस्तु नहीं मांगी तब उन्होंने कहा पिताजी मैं आपको किम सुहाग दान देकर बड़े संकट में पड़ गया अब नीरज होकर फिर विवाह करूंगा इस तरीके सामने परस्त हुआ और पृथ्वी पर गिरा कर गया फिर भी मुझे स्त्री का स्वामी बन ना पड़ेगा या बड़ा ही दुष्कर्म है दादा पी में क्या करूं सत्या के बंधन में बंद हूं अपने जो आज्ञा दी है वह करूंगा एक दिन राजकुमार अभिक्षित शिकार खेलने के लिए वन में गए वहां से हरियाणा द्वारा तथा बागरा आदि जंतुओं को अपने बालों का निशाना बनाने लगे इतने में ही उन्हें साहस किसी स्त्री के रोने का शब्द सुनाई दिया हुआ भाई से गद्य वाणी में उच्च स्वर से बार-बार तुरंत करती हुई त्राहि त्राहि की रात लग रही थी राजकुमार अभिक्षित ने मत डरो मत डरो ऐसा कहते हुए अपने घोड़े को इस और बढ़ाया इधर से वह शब्द आ रहा था उसे निर्जन वन में दोनों के पुत्र डेड कैसे के द्वारा पकड़ी गई वह कन्या विलाप करती हुई कह रही थी मैं राजा कारदानम के पुत्र अभिक्षित की पत्नी को किंतु यह नीचे दादा मुझे हराकर लिया जाता है फिर महाराज के समक्ष समस्त राजा गंधर्व तथा गक भी खड़े होने की शक्ति नहीं रखते जिनका क्रोध मृत्यु और पराक्रम इंद्र के समान है उन्हें की पुत्रवधू होकर आज मैं एक दोनों के द्वारा हरी जा रही हूं वह इस प्रकार कहां-कहां कर रो ही रही थी कि राजकुमार अभिक्षित तुरंत वहां जा पहुंचे उन्होंने देखा एक अत्यंत मनोहर कन्या है और जो सब प्रकार के आभूषणों से शोभा पा रही है और हाथ में डंडा लिए धनुपुत्र दिन के केस ने उसे पकड़ रखा है तब वह करूं स्वर में ताहि ताहि पुकार रही है यह देखकर अभी खेत में उसे कहा तुम भाई ना करो फिर उसने दोनों से कहा वह दोस्त आप तो मर जाए वह मंडल के समस्त राजा जिनके प्रताप के सामने मस्तक झुकाते उन महाराज का जन्म के राज में कौन दुष्ट जीवित रह सकता है राजकुमार को श्रेष्ठ धनुष लिए आया देख वह कोशनी युक्त बार-बार कहने लगी आप मुझे बताइए यह दोस्तों मुझे हर कर लिया जाता है मैंने महाराज कार्ड नाम की पुत्रवधू और अभिक्षित की पुत्री फिर समझ लूंगा पीड़ितों की रक्षा करने के लिए ही क्षत्रिय हथियार धारण करते हैं ऐसा निश्चय करने के वीर अभिक्षित ने उसे खोटी बुद्धि वाले दानव से भूपित होकर कहा पापी यदि जीवित रहना चाहता है तो इसे छोड़कर चला जा नेता तेरे प्राण नहीं बचेंगे इतना सुनते ही वह दानव उसका नया को छोड़कर डंडे के ऊपर उठा अभिक्षित की और दौड़ा तब उन्होंने बाढ़ की वर्षा से उसे भाग दिया दानव दे द केस अत्यंत मत से मतवाला हो रहा था राजकुमार के मानव से रोक के जाने पर भी उसने 100 किलो से युक्त हुआ डंडा उन पर दे मारा किंतु राजकुमार ने अपनी ओर आते हुए उसे डंडे के बाद मारकर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दिए फिर दानव ने कुपित होकर राजकुमार पर जोर-जोर हथियार चलाया वह सब उन्होंने अपने बालों से कार्ड गिराया डंडे और हथियारों के कट जाने पर उसे बड़ा क्रोध हुआ और वह बुक का दान कर राजकुमारी की और दौड़ा पास आते ही राजकुमारी ने वेद साहस पत्र नमक वार से उसका मस्तक कार्ड गिराया इस प्रकार उसे दुराचारी दानव के मारे जाने पर समस्त देवताओं ने अभिक्षित को शुद्ध वध किया और वह पर मांगने के लिए कहा तब उन्होंने अपने पिता का प्रिया करने की इच्छा से एक महापराकामी पुत्र मांगा देवता बोले राजकुमार जिसका तुमने कभी उधर किया है इसी कन्या के घरों से तुम्हें महाबली चक्रवर्ती पुत्र की प्राप्ति होगी राजकुमार के कहां ने कहा देवगन राजाओं से प्राप्त होने पर मैंने विवाह का विचार छोड़ दिया था किंतु पिता द्वारा सत्य के बंधन में बांधे जाने पर मैं अब पुत्र क्या अभिलाषा करता हूं पहले राजा विशाल की कन्या को मैंने त्याग दिया था किंतु उसने मेरे लिए दूसरे किसी पुरुष को पति बनाने का विचार छोड़ रखा है लता उसे त्याग में देवी को छोड़कर क्रोध हृदय हो मैं दूसरी स्त्री को कैसे अपने पत्नी बना सकूंगा देवता बोले यही राजा विशाल की कन्या और तुम्हारी भार्या है जिसकी तुम सदा प्रशंसा करते हो या सुंदरी तुम्हारी लिए ही तब करती रही इसके गैरों से तुम्हारे चक्रवर्ती एवं वीर पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा वह सातों दीपों का शासन तथा सहस्त्र यज्ञों का अनुष्ठान करने वाला होगा करधनाम कुमार अभिषेक से यूं कह कर समस्त देवता वहां से चले गए तब उन्होंने उसे स्त्री से कहा वीरू कहो तो यह क्या बात है कि तब वैशाली ने अपना वृत्तांत सुनना आरंभ किया नाच अपने जब मुझे त्याग दिया तो इस जीवन से वैराग्य हो गया और मैं बंधु बंदों को छोड़कर वन में चली आई फिर यहां तपस्या करते-करते मैंने अपना शरीर सुख दिया और तभी से त्याग देने की कोहित हो गई इसी समय देवताओं के दूध में आकर मुझे रोका और कहा तुम्हें महा बलवान चक्रवर्ती पुत्र प्राप्त होगा जो देवताओं का तृप्ति करेगा और असुरों का संघर्ष करेगा इस प्रकार देवदूत ने जब देवताओं की आज्ञा सुनी तब आपके समागम की आशा से मैं इस देश का त्याग नहीं किया मारकंडे जी कहते हैं वैशाली के यह वचन सुनकर तथा किमचिक व्रत में की हुई प्रतिज्ञा के समय पिता के कहे हुए उत्तम वचनों का स्मरण कर किया विकसित ने उसे कन्या से प्रेम पूर्वक कहा देवी उसे समय शत्रुओं से पराजित होने के कारण मैं तुम्हारा त्याग किया था और अब फिर शत्रुओं को जीतकर ही तुम्हें पाया है अब बताओ क्या करूंगा इसी अवसर पर मैं नमक गंधर्व श्रेष्ठ अप्सराओं तथा अन्य गंधर्वों के साथ वह आया गंधर्व भोला राजकुमार यह कन्या वास्तव में मेरी पुत्री भाभी है महर्षि कागज का के श्राप से यह राजा विशाल की पुत्री हुई थी बचपन में खेलते समय इसे अगस्त मुनि को उपित कर दिया था तब उन्होंने शराब देते हुए कहा जा तू मनुष्य योनि में उत्पन्न होगा तब हम लोगों ने मुनि को प्रसन्न करते हुए कहा ब्रह्मा अभी यह मेरी बालिका है इसे भले बुरे का विवेक नहीं है तभी इसके आगे आपका अपराध बन गया है आता है इसके ऊपर कृपा कीजिए तब उसे महामुनि ने कहा बालिका का समझ कर ही मैंने इसे बहुत थोड़ा शराब दिया है अब यह अटल नहीं सकता यह महर्षि का श्राप था जिसे यह मेरी पुत्री भवानी राजा विशाल के भवन में उत्पन्न हुए इसके लिए ही मैं यहां उपस्थित हुआ हूं आप मेरी इस कन्या को ग्रहण कीजिए इससे आपको चक्रवर्ती पुत्र की प्राप्ति होगी तब बहुत अच्छा कह कर राजकुमार ने विधि पूर्वक उसका पाणिग्रहण किया उसे समय वह डमरू मनी से हवन किया और देवता और गंधर्व गीत गाते रहे हो से फूल की वर्षा की और देवताओं के बजे बजाते रहे विवाह के पश्चात दोनों दंपत्ति महात्मा में के साथ गंधर्व लोक में गया अभिक्षित अपनी पत्नी के साथ कभी अत्यंत रबड़ी नगरों में और कभी पर्वत की उत्साह में बिहार करने लगी वह मनी गंधर्व और किन्नर लोग उसे दोनों के लिए भोजन की सामग्री चंदन वस्त्र माला तथा पीने योग्य पदार्थ आदि उत्तम वस्तुएं प्रस्तुत किया करते थे मनुष्य के लिए दुर्लभ गंधर्व लोक में अभिजीत इस प्रकार भवन के साथ बिहार करते रहे कुछ समय के बाद पानी ने गिरा दीक्षित के पुत्र को जन्म दिया उसे महा पराक्रमी पुत्र का जन्म होने पर उसने कार्य सिद्ध की अपेक्षा रखने वाले गंधर्व के यहां बड़ा भारी उत्सव हुआ उसने शब्द बताता था निर्मल देवर्षि भी पधारे पटल से नाराज शेष वास्तविक तथा तक्षक भी आए देवता सूर्य यश और गुहाओं में जो जो प्रधान थे वह सब उपस्थित हुए सभी मारुदगान भी पधारे थे डमरू ने उसका बालक का जाट कर्म आदि कर की स्तुति पूर्वक की स्रावित वचन वचन किया और कहा आयुष्मान बहुत चक्रवर्ती महापरिन में महाबाहु एवं महा बलवान होकर समस्त पृथ्वी का शान करो वीर के इंद्र आदि लोकपाल तथा महर्षि तुम्हारा कल्याण करें और तुम्हें शत्रु नाशक शक्ति प्रदान करें पूर्व दिशा में बहने वाले मारुति जिम स्कूल का समावेश नहीं होता तुम्हारा कल्याण करेगा और दक्षिण दिशा में निर्मल मारुति मुझे स्वस्थ रखें पश्चिम के मारुति उत्तम पराक्रम दे तथा उत्तर के मरोड़ तुझे उत्कृष्ट बल प्रदान करें इस प्रकार ईश्वर युद्ध नयन की पश्चात कल्याण आकाशवाणी हुई पुरोहित ने मारुति लो मारो तुम्हारा कल्याण करो अनेक बार प्रयोग किया गया इसलिए बालक पृथ्वी पर पर्वत के साथ नाम से विख्यात होगा भूमंडल के सभी राजा इसकी आज्ञा के अधीन रहेगा और यह वीर सब राजाओं का सिरमौर बना रहेगा अन्य भोपालों को जीतकर यहां महाप्रक में चक्रवर्ती होगा और साथ दीपक वाली समूची पृथ्वी का उपभोग करेगा यज्ञ करने वाले राजाओं से या प्रधान होगा तथा समस्त नारे शो में इसका सूर्य और पराक्रम सबसे अधिक होगा देवताओं में किसी ने यह आकाशवाणी की थी कि से सुनकर ब्राह्मण गंधर्व तथा बालक के माता-पिता बहुत प्रसन्न हुए तदनंतर राजकुमार अभिक्षित अपने प्रिय पुत्र को गोद में दिए गंधर्व के साथ ही अनेक पितरों के नगर में आए पिता के घर में पहुंचकर उन्होंने अपने चरणों में आदर पूर्वक मस्तक झुकाकर तथा राज्य से भी असुर के चरणों में प्रणाम किया उसे समय राजा गंधर्व धर्म शासन पर विराजमान थे दीक्षित ने पुत्र को लेकर कहा पिताजी माता जी के किंचित व्रत में मैंने जो प्रतिज्ञा की थी उसके अनुसार अब गोद में लेकर इस पुत्र का मुख देखिए क्यों कहा करो उन्होंने पिताजी की गोद में बालक को रख दिया और उसके जन्म का सारा वृत्तांत ठीक-ठाक का सुनाया राजा गंधर्व ने नेत्रों में आनंद की आवशो छलक आए और उन्होंने पुत्र की छाती से त्याग कर अपनी भाग्य की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा मैं बाद ही सौभाग्यशाली हो इसके बाद उन्होंने वहां आए हुए गंधर्व का आश्रय देखने के द्वारा सत्कार किया उसे समय उनको और किसी भारत की याद नहीं रहेगी उसे नगर में पुरुष वालों के घर-घर में महान आनंद छा गया सब प्रसन्न होकर कहते थे हमारे महाराज के पोता हुआ है राजा गंधर्व ने हर्ष मग्न होकर ब्राह्मणों को आराधना धनगांव वस्त्र और आभूषण दान किया वह बालक शुक्ल पक्ष के चंद्रमा की भक्ति प्रतिदिन बढ़ने लगा उसे देखकर पिता आदि को बड़ी प्रसन्नता होती थी वह सब लोगों का प्यार था कुछ बड़ा होने पर उपनयन के बाद उसने आचार्य के पास रहकर पहले वेदों की फिर समस्त शास्त्रों की था अंत में धनुर वेद की शिक्षा ग्रहण की तत्पश्चात ब्रिंहपुत्र शुक्राचार्य से अन्य अस्त्र विधाओं का ज्ञान प्राप्त किया वह गुरु के समक्ष विनती भाव से मस्तक झुकता तथा सदा उन्हें प्रसन्न रखने की चेष्टा में संलग्न रहता था वह अस्त्र बिटिया का ज्ञाता वेद का विद्वान धनुर्वेद में पर्यावरण तथा सब विधाओं में निपुण था उसे समय मारुति बढ़कर दूसरा कोई नहीं था राजा विशाल को भी जब अपनी पुत्री का सारा समाचार ज्ञात हुआ तथा द्रोहित की उत्तम योग्यता सुनाई पड़ी तब उनका मन आनंद में दिमाग ना हो गया पुत्र को देखने से महाराज संदर्भ का मनोरथ पूर्ण हो गया उन्होंने आने की यज्ञ किया और याचकों को बहुत दान दिए तदनंतर हुआ वन जाने के लिए उत्सव होकर उन्होंने अपने पुत्र अभिजीत से कहा बेटा मैं बूढ़ा हो गया अब वन में तपस्या के लिए जाऊंगा तुम मुझे यह राज ले लो मैं कृतज्ञ हूं तुम्हारा राजतिलक करने के अतिरिक्त दूसरा कोई कार्य शेष नहीं है यह सुनकर राजकुमार अभिजीत ने बड़ी नम्रता के साथ पिता से कहा था मैं पृथ्वी का पालन नहीं कर सकूंगा मेरे मन में लज्जा अभी दूर नहीं होती आप इसे राज पर किसी और को नियुक्त कीजिए मैं बंधन में पढ़ने पर पिता के हाथों मुक्त हुआ हूं अपने बल से नहीं आता मुझ में क्या फर्क है जिसे फारुख हो वही इस पृथ्वी का पालन कर सकते हैं अब मैं अपनी भी रक्षा करने में समर्थ नहीं हूं तब इस पृथ्वी की रक्षा कैसे कर सकूंगा इसलिए राज किसी और को दे दीजिए
