महा भागवत देवी पुराण अध्याय 17

श्री महादेव जी बोले जो सूत्र शासक वक्त और मूल प्राकृतिक स्वरूप रुकने जगदंबा है वही साक्षात परम ब्रह्म है और वही हमारे देवता भी है जिस प्रकार है ब्रह्म है विष्णु और स्वयं माय शिव इस जगत की उत्पत्ति पालन और श्रृंगार के कार्य में नियुक्त है उसी प्रकार अनेक ब्राह्मण ब्राह्मण में निवास करने वाले करोड़ों प्राणियों के सृजन पालन और श्रृंगार का विधान करने वाले है महेश्वर ही है निराकार रहते हुए हुए महादेव अपने लीला से देह धारण करती है उन्हीं के द्वारा इस विश्व का सृजन किया जाता है पालन किया जाता है और अंत में उन्हीं के द्वारा संघार किया जाता है जिसके द्वारा ही यह जगत होता है प्राचीन काल में हुए पूर्णता भगवती ही अपने लीला से दक्ष की कन्या के रूप में हिमावन की पुत्री के रूप में तथा अपने ही अंश में विष्णु बारिया लक्ष्मी के रूप में एवं ब्रह्मा की भार्या सावित्री तथा सरस्वती के रूप में प्रकट हुई नारद जी बोले देवेश यदि आप मुझ पर प्रसन्न है और मेरे पति आपकी उत्तम प्रतीत है तब नाथ हम महान पति मुझे विस्तार पूर्वक वह सब प्रसंग बताएं कि जिस प्रकार में प्राकृतिक रूप पूर्ण भगवती प्राचीन काल में दक्ष कन्या के रूप में अवधारित हुए और जिस प्रकार भगवान शिव ने उन ब्रह्मा स्वरूपिणी को पत्नी के रूप में प्राप्त किया जिस प्रकार हुए हिमालय की घर में पुणे पुत्री होकर उत्पन्न हुए और फिर त्रिनेत्र महादेव ने उन्हें पत्नी के रूप में प्राप्त किया और जिस प्रकार उन्होंने चाय को वाले कार्तिकेय तथा गजानन गणेश इन दोनों महान बलशाली और पराक्रमी पुत्रों को जन्म दिया श्री महादेव जी बोले पहले यह जगत सूर्य चंद्रमा तारो दिन रात अग्नि दिशा शब्द स्पष्ट आदि से तथा अन्य किसी प्रकार से तेज से रहित था उसे समय श्रुति द्वारा एकमात्र जिसका प्रतिपादन किया जाता है ब्रह्मा स्वरूपिणी हुए भगवती विद्वान थी सच्चिदानंद बिगड़ वाली वह प्राकृतिक रूप भगवती शुद्ध ज्ञान से युक्त नित्य वाणी से परे नीरव क्योंकि योगी द्वारा कठिनता से प्राप्त होने वाले सर्वत्र व्याप्त रहने वाले उपद्रवी से रहित नित्यानंद स्वरूपानी तथा सुषमा और गुरु तत्व आदि गुना से परे हैं उन भगवती की सृष्टि करने की इच्छा हुई उसकी समय रूप रहित होते हुए प्राकृतिक स्वरूप रूपानी उसे परम अपने अपनी इच्छा से सीख रही प्रसन्नता पूर्वक रूप धारण किया कर लिया उसका विग्रह निखर हुए काजल के समान था विकसित कमल के समान सुंदर मुख था चार भुजाएं थी नेत्र लाल वर्णित थे बाल खुले थे और दिशा रूपी वस्त्र से सुशोभित स्थल तथा अन्य स्थान धार्मिक ज्योतिष पर ओवैसी हाकी पीठ पर विराजमान थी तदनंतर उन्होंने अपने इच्छा से अपने राजस्थान साथ और तमोघों के द्वारा शीघ्र ही चैतन्य सहित एक पुरुष की सृष्टि की साथ हाथी तीनों ओर से युक्त उत्पन्न पुरुष को देखकर भगवती ने सुरक्षा से उसे पुरुष में सृष्टि करने की अपनी इच्छा समावेश किया यह देखकर वह शक्तिमान पुत्र त्रिकोण के आश्रय से ब्रह्मा विष्णु और शिव नाम वाले तीन पुरुषों के रूप में प्रकट हो गया इस पर भी सृष्टि नहीं हो रही है ऐसा देखकर उन भगवती ने उसे पुरुष को जीवात्मा और परमात्मा इन दोनों रूपों में विभक्त कर दिया इसके बाद में प्राकृतिक अपनी इच्छा से स्वयं अपने को वह दिन भर में विवाह कर माया विद्या और परम इन तीनों रूप में प्रकट हो गए प्राणियों को भी मोहित करने वाले जो शक्ति है वही माया है और संसार को संचालित करने वाले तथा प्राणियों में स्पर्म आदि का संचार करने वाले जो शक्ति है वहीं पर मन कही गई है वही तत्व ज्ञानी माया तथा संसार से मुक्ति दिलाने वाली भी है माया के वशीभूत जीव जब उसे परम शक्ति की उपेक्षा करने लग गया तब मुनि मोह आधुनिक उसे माया आश्रय ग्रहण करने वाले हुए पुरुष ही विषयों के आतिश अश्वक होने लगे मुनिश्रेष्ठ उसे समय हुए उसे माया के प्रभाव से अत्यंत प्रगट हो गए तीसरे जो पर विद्या है वह स्वयं गधा दुर्गा सावित्री लक्ष्मी और सरस्वती इन पांचो रूप में विभक्त हो गए उसे साक्षात जगपाल ने पूर्ण प्राकृतिक के सृष्टि कर में ब्रह्मा विष्णु तथा शिव को अलग-अलग नियुक्त करके कहा मैं सृष्टि के निर्माता थी आप लोगों को अपनी इच्छा से उत्पन्न किया है आते हो महा भाग आप लोग वैसा ही कीजिए जैसी मेरी इच्छा ब्रह्मा अनेक प्रकार के विचित्र तथा संख्या स्टार वार और जगम प्राणियों को निबंधन भाव से उत्पन्न करें विशाल भुजाओं वाले और बाल सालियों से श्रेष्ठ विष्णु जगत को शुरू करने वाले दृश्यों का संघार करते हुए सृष्टि का पालन करें और अंत में जब मेरी नाश करने की इच्छा होगी तब तमोगुण युक्त शिव संपूर्ण जगत का नाश करेगी आप तीनों पुरुष की सृष्टि आदि तीनों कार्यों में एक दूसरे की सहायता की अवश्य करनी चाहिए मैं सावित्री आदि पांच श्रेष्ठ द्पयों के रूप में विभक्त होकर आप लोगों की पत्नियों बनाकर सुरक्षा पूर्ण बिहार करूंगा और सभी प्राणियों में नारी रूप धारण कर शुभ हो के सहयोग द्वारा सुरक्षा से सभी प्राणियों को जन्म दूंगा ब्राह्मण आप आप मेरी आज्ञा से मानवासी सृष्टि कीजिए नहीं तो इस सृष्टि का विस्तार नहीं हो पाएगा ब्रह्मा आदि से ऐसा कहकर वह प्राकृतिक रूप पानी पर तत्व महाविद्यालय उनके देखते-देखते अंतर ध्यान हो गए और उनका यह वचन सुनकर ब्रह्मा जी ने सृष्टि कार्यक्रम कर दिया

Shri Mahadev Ji said that the one who is the ruler of time and the original natural form, Jagadamba, is the true Supreme Brahma and he is also our deity. When the creatures under the influence of Maya started ignoring that supreme power, then the sages became attached to the worldly desires and the men who took shelter of Maya became attached to the worldly desires. The fire started becoming a horse, great sage, at that time it became very manifest due to the effect of Maya, the third one who is Par Vidya himself got divided into five forms of donkey, Durga, Savitri, Lakshmi and Saraswati, the guardian of the world himself appointed Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva separately in the creation of the complete nature and said that I was the creator of the universe, I have created you all by my will, you are great fortunes, you all do as I wish, Brahma should create many types of strange and numerous star-wise and living creatures with a restricted attitude, Vishnu with huge arms and superior to the children should look after the creation by destroying the scenes that started the world and in the end when I will wish to destroy then Shiva with Tamoguna will destroy the entire world, you three must help each other in the three tasks of creation etc. I will be divided into five best couples like Savitri etc. and will make you all wives and will live safely and by assuming the female form in all the creatures, I will give birth to all the creatures safely with the help of Shubh, Brahmin you should create human beings as per my orders, otherwise the end of this universe Having said this to Brahma and others, he went into deep meditation on the natural form of water, the Element College, in front of their eyes and after hearing his words, Brahma started the creation program.
