सती की याकुंड प्रवेश का समाचार सुनकर भगवान शंकर का शौक से बिहार होना उसके तृतीय नेत्र की अग्नि से वीरभद्र का प्रगति वीरभद्र द्वारा दक्ष का यज्ञ विध्वस्कर उसका सिर काटना ब्रह्मा जी का भगवान शंकर से यज्ञ पूर्ण करने की प्रार्थना करना भगवान शंकर की कृपा से दक्ष की जीवित होना
श्री महादेव जी बोले इसके बाद ब्रह्मा जी के पुत्र मुनि श्रेष्ठ नारद जी ने वहां कैलाश पर आकर देवाधि देव त्रिलोचन शिवजी से भरपूरित नेत्र से कहा देव देव आपको नमस्कार है महेश्वर में नारद दक्ष प्रजापति के घर से आया हूं आपने यह समाचार सुना है या नहीं कि आपका प्राणप्रिया सती दक्ष प्रजापति की यज्ञ गई हुई थी वहां अपने आपकी निंदा सुनकर उन्होंने क्रोधित होकर अपना देहात त्याग दिया दक्ष शक्ति सती ऐसा बार-बार अपेक्षा करके पुणे यज्ञ करने में लग गई और देव गण आहुति ग्रहण करने लगे नारद के मुख से यह महान कष्टकारी बात सुनकर तीनों नेत्रों वाले देवाधि देव शिव ने सो कूल होकर बहुत तरह से विलाप किया हस्ती मुझे शक सागर में छोड़कर तुम कहीं चली गई हो अब मैं तुम्हारे बिना कैसे जीवित रहूंगी पिता के घर जाने के लिए मैंने तुझे अब अनेक तरह से रोका था शिव क्या उसी से रोस्ट होकर तुम मेरा परित्याग करके चली गई महामुनि इस प्रकार बहुत तरह से मिला कर लाल-लाल नेत्रों था मुख वाले त्रिलोचन महादेव अत्यंत कुपित हो उठे भगवान और रुद्र को खूब अभीष्ट देखकर सभी प्राणी भयभीत हो गए सारा जग अत्यधिक विलक्ष होता और पृथ्वी ढूंढने लगी और उधर नेत्र से अत्यंत तेजस्वी अग्नि प्रज्वलित हुई और उसे आगे से एक परम सुख अत्यंत उत्पन्न हुआ विशाल ब्रिज धारण करते हुए वह कालांतर यमराज के समान प्रतीत हो रहा था और प्रज्वलित अग्नि के ऊपर को अभाव वाले तीन भयानक नेत्रों से युक्त था वह अपने समस्त औरों से भी होती धारण किया हुआ था अपने अपना पथ पर उसने अर्ध चंद्रमा को मुकुट की भांति धारण कर रखा था और मध्यान्ह कालीन करोड़ सूर्य की बात था जाता झूठ से उसका मस्तक सुशोभित हो रहा था देवद ही थे महेश्वर महादेव प्रणाम करके तथा तीन बार उसकी डफरत करना कर उसे दोनों हाथ जोड़कर उसने कहा पिताजी मैं क्या करूं यदि आप मुझे आज्ञा प्रदान करें तो भी अच्छे झाड़ से इस तरह-कर ब्रह्मांड को नष्ट कर डालो क्या इंद्र आदि श्रेष्ठ देवताओं को उनके बाल पकड़ कर उसके सामने ला दो विभव यदि आप कहे तो यमराज को भी मार डालो मन ही शांत यह मेरी प्रतिज्ञा है मैं आपसे यह सच-सच कह रहा हूं जिसके सम्मान के लिए आप मुझे यह समय कहे मैं उसका सम्मान करुंगा चाहे वह और श्रेष्ठ इंद्र ही क्यों ना हो यदि बैकुंठ नाथ विष्णु भी उसकी सहायता करने लगे तो भी मैं आपकी आज्ञा से उन्हें भी को कुणिठत अस्त्र वाला कर दूंगा शिवजी बोले तुम्हारा नाम वीरभद्र है और तुम प्रथम गानों के अधिपति हो मेरे आज्ञा से दक्ष के नगर में जाकर तुम सीख रही उसकी यज्ञ को नष्ट कर डालो वत्सल मेरा पर इतिहास करके जो देवता घर वहां गए हैं और उसे दक्ष की सहायता कर रहे हैं मेरी आज्ञा के बिना उनका भी निकाला करो मेरी निंदा करने में साल लग्न दक्ष प्रजापति का भी मुख काट डालो पुत्र वहां सीख जाओ विलंब मत करो वीरभद्र से ऐसा कर कर त्रिनेत्र धारी महादेव शिव ने लंबी सांस छोड़ी उसने हजारों शिवगढ़ उत्पन्न हो गए हुए सब के सब भयंकर कम करने वाले तथा की विकिपीडिया में पूर्ण परस्त थे और पूरे अपने हाथों में गड्ढा खड़क मुसल प्राप्त त्रिशूल तथा पाषाण हाथी अस्त्र लिए हुए थे उन गानों से गिरे हुए महामति वीरभद्र परमेश्वर शिव को प्रणाम कर तथा तीन बार उसकी प्रतिष्ठा करके वहां से चल पडे तत्पश्चात हुए सभी प्रथम गांव करते हुए छठ भारत में ही दक्ष पूरी पहुंच गए जहां उनका यज्ञ चल रहा था इसके बाद क्रोध युक्त वीरभद्र ने को अपशिष्ट प्रथम गानों से कहा सीख रही यज्ञ का नाश कर दो और देवताओं को भाग दो उसके बाद गुण प्रथम गणों ने उसका महायज्ञ का प्रीत निवास कर डाला कुछ घरों में यज्ञ के खंभे उखड़ कर नहीं दसों दिशाओं में फेंक दिया किसी ने यज्ञ कुंडल की अग्नि बुझा देता था अन्य घर आप खाने लगे और क्रोध से लाल लाल आंखों वाले कुछ गाना देवताओं को खाते में लगे किसी प्रकार भयानक वह वाले प्रथम गणों द्वारा आधारित किए गए यज्ञ को देखकर विष्णु ने वहां जाकर प्रथम गधों से यह वचन कहा तुम लोगों ने यज्ञ को क्यों नष्ट किया देवताओं को क्यों भगा दिया तुम लोग कौन हो इन सभी बातों को बताओ देर मत करो

Hearing this very painful news from Narada, the three-eyed Lord Shiva became calm and lamented in many ways, "Hasti, you have gone away leaving me in the ocean of doubt, how will I survive without you? I have stopped you in many ways from going to my father's house." In some houses, the pillars of the yagya were uprooted and thrown in all the ten directions. Someone extinguished the fire of the yagya kundal. In other houses, they started eating themselves and some Ganas with eyes red with anger started eating the gods. Seeing the yagya conducted by those terrible Pratham Ganas, Vishnu went there and said these words to the first Ganas, why did you destroy the yagya, why did you drive away the gods, who are you, tell us all these things, do not delay.
