शिव पार्वती का एकांत बिरहा पृथ्वी देवी का गौरव धारण कर देवताओं के साथ ब्रह्मा जी के पास जाना ब्रह्मा जी का उन्हें आज वक्त करना और कुमार कार्तिकेय के प्रति भाव होने की बात बताना श्री महादेव जी बोले पार्वती को प्राप्त करने के उद्देश्य से की गई तपस्या से क्लेश का दिन रात स्मरण करके महादेव जी उसे पार्वती प्रेम सख्त हो गए भगवती के वचन को सुनने में ही अपने कानों को निरंतर नियुक्त कर दिया था आंखें उनके रूप दर्शन में समृद्धि थी उनके मनपसंद करने के लिए उसके जीत की सारी चेष्टा निरंतर नियुक्त थी इस प्रकार पार्वती के प्रेम शब्द भगवान के उसमें प्रतीत उत्पन्न किया एक समय की बात है महेश्वरी ने वंश से पुष्पा लाकर एक सुंदर माला बनाई और उसे कपूर तथा और उनके विलोपित करके पार्वती के गले में डाल दी पुनः प्रेम पूर्वक भगवान महादेव की पुत्र प्राप्ति की कामना से पार्वती के प्रति अपने मन में आदरपूर्वक सा धार्मिकता की भावना धरण की भगवान शिव मिलने नदी से कहा तुम सभी प्रथम गानों के साथ पूर्व की इस प्रकार रखवाली करो कि मेरी आज्ञा के बिना या कोई भी प्राणी ना आ सके चाहे वह कोई देवता ही अथवा देवधा ही क्यों ना हो या सुनकर देवाधि देव की आज्ञा से हुए नंदी समस्त प्रथम गानों के साथ उसे पूर्व के द्वारा रक्षा में तात्पर्य हो गए तरणेतर भगवान शिव पार्वती के साथ दीर्घकाल तक बिहार करते रहे उसे समय इसमें युक्त मनवा ले शिव को प्रेम के आधार में निर्गमन रहने के कारण ना हो तो दिया था अथवा रात का बहन ही रहा था और ना शांति ही मिली मनीष रेस्ट उसके पैर के प्रहार से पीड़ित हुए पृथ्वी गाय का रूप धारण करके सूर्य के पास गई और आंखों में आंसू भरकर रोते हुए उसके महेश के पद प्रहार से उत्पन्न हुए अपने प्रतीत किए गए उपद्रव के विषय में सूर्य से इस प्रकार निवेदन किया दिवाकर जगत के स्वामी भगवान शिव हिमालय की शिखर पर पार्वती के साथ दीर्घकाल से लीला बिहार में स्थित है शिव तथा शक्ति के बाहर से तीन राहत व्यतीत में अब उसे सहन करने में असमर्थ होता है मेरी कास्ट के निर्माण सीख रही कोई उपाय बताएं पार्वती को प्राप्त करके पूर्ण जगतपति महादेव को ना तो रात को ज्ञान रह गया है और नातिन का वह महेश क्षण भर के लिए भी पार्वती से विराट नहीं हो रहे हैं दादा भी उन्हें शांति नहीं मिल रही है श्री महादेव जी बोले इस प्रकार पृथ्वी का वचन सुनकर भगवान सूर्य का पृथ्वी के साथ वहां गए जहां इंद्र आदि प्रधान देवता विद्यमान थे वहां पर उन्होंने उनसे वह सब घटना बताइए कैसे पृथ्वी से उसे निवेदन किया था महामुनि उसे सुनकर सभी देवता का पृथ्वी को साथ लेकर तत्काल ब्रह्मा जी के पास पहुंचे मुनिश्रेष्ठ तप पश्चात ओम देवताओं ने गौरव धारण किए हुए पृथ्वी को आगे करके जगत के पति उन ब्रह्मा जी किसे कहा ब्रह्मा सुनिए महादेव हिमालय के शिखर पर जगत्त्री पार्वती के साथ दीर्घकाल से बिहार कर रहे हैं फिर भी उन्हें शांति नहीं मिल रही है इस प्रकार व महेश्वर किसी भी प्रकार दरिया धारण नहीं कर पा रहे हैं शिव तथा शांति से भारी पीड़ित एवं वसुंधरा रास्ता लाल जाने की स्थिति बनने पर हम लोगों के पास आई है जागते इस स्थिति में क्या किया जाए वह हमें बताएं उनका यह वचन सुनकर लोग पितामह ब्राह्मणी देवताओं को बार-बार संताप देकर उनसे कहा कोई महेश्वर देवताओं का कार्य सिद्ध करने के लिए ही लीला बिहार में संघर्ष है इसमें रखत तेज के प्रभाव से जो पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा उसे तार कसूर का संग्रह होगा इसे स्वयं नहीं है किंतु यदि पार्वती के घरों से संभोग का पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा तो वह देवता तथा सूर्य इन दोनों का विनाश कर देगा उसके इस पराक्रम को संसार भी सहन नहीं कर सकता पाएगा अतः देवड़ा गाना जिस किसी भी तरह से संभव हो संभोग के इस रेत से किसी अन्य स्थानों में एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हो वैसे चेष्टा आप लोग करें मैं वही चल रहा हूं जहां मैं महेश्वर विराजमान है और पार्वती के साथ स्थित है संभोग के स्वर्ग से बिलख रहने के लिए महेश्वर पार्वती से प्रार्थना करते हुए आप सभी लोग भी मेरे साथ वहां तत्काल चलिए नाराज देवता से ऐसा कह कर ब्रह्मा जी तत्काल वहां के लिए प्रस्तावित हो गए जहां देवेश्वर शिव उमा के साथ बिहार कर रहे थे महामति तत्पश्चात सभी देवता भी वहां पहुंच गए और उन्होंने पार्वती तथा शिव को आनंद में निद्रा देखा उसके आ जाने पर भी भगवान शिव विराट नहीं हुए पार्वती देवी भी शाम को जीत नहीं हुआ उन्होंने भगवान महेश्वर का परित्याग नहीं किया इस प्रकार श्री महा भागवत पुराण के अंतर्गत श्री महादेव महाराज में शिव पार्वती बिरहा वर्णन नामक अध्यापक हुआ
