देवताओं द्वारा कार्तिकेय की वंदना ब्रह्मा जी के साथ कार्तिकेय का अपने माता-पिता के पास कैलाश आना भगवान विष्णु द्वारा पुत्र रूप में मां पार्वती का वात्सल्य प्राप्त करने की अभिलाषा प्रकट करना महादेवी द्वारा अभिलाषा पूर्ण होगी इस प्रकार का वर प्रदान करना
श्री महादेव जी बोले मुनिश्रेष्ठ तब प्रसन्न होकर देवगढ़ आदर पूर्वक गंध पुष्प अर्थ धूप और नाना प्रकार के स्रोतों से गिरिजा तन्मय कार्तिकेय को पूजन वंदना के द्वारा प्रसन्न करके तथा प्रजापति ब्रह्मा जी ने अपने हंस वहां विमान पर अरुण होकर प्रसारण कुमार कार्तिकेय को साथ लेकर भगवान शिव के पास आए और कार्तिकेय से कहने लग ब्रह्मा बोले वत्सल है सूर्य सॉरी जगत भुजिया तुम्हारे माता और जगत दुर्गत कल्याणकारी महादेव तुम्हारे पिता तुम इन दोनों के पुत्र हो अपने माता-पिता प्रणाम करो महादेव तुम यहां रह कर समस्त विश्व का पालन पोषण करो श्री महादेव जी बोले मुनिवर ब्रह्मा जी के सुख से ऐसा सुनकर देवी पार्वती और परमेश्वर सदा शिव ने मां से विचार करके कार्तिकेय को अपना पुत्र जाना का प्रेम भरी पार्वती प्रणाम करते हुए पुत्रों को देखकर गोद में बैठ कर परम आनंदित होते भगवान महेश्वर मैं भी पुत्र को प्राप्त कर हर्ष पूर्वी मन से सभी देवताओं का आमंत्रित कर महान पुरुष उत्सव मनाया वहां आए हुए संतान भगवान नारायण विष्णु ने सुंदर रूप और दिव्या शरीर वाले कार्तिकेय को देखा देवी परम विष्णु प्रभास उसके सभी अनु को देख रही थी देवीकोट में रोड होकर वह कार्तिक है अपना महान भाग समझ कर प्रसन्न हो रहे थे परमात्मा भगवान विष्णु के मन मे ऐसा विचार आया कि मैं भी इन भगवती का पुत्र होकर कभी उनकी गोद में खेलु और वात्सलीस ने भारत इनका दूध क्यों ऐसा सोचकर उन्होंने मन ही मां देवी का ध्यान कर उन्हें प्रणाम किया और वहां से जब चल पड़े तब उसकी अभिलाष को जानकर माहेश्वरी जगदंबा में होता दिया कि विष्णु तुम मेरी पुत्र बनोगे नाराज जी इसके पश्चात तुम्हारे देवघर महादेवी पार्वती देवाधि देव भगवान सदा शिव को प्रणाम करके अपने-अपने स्थान को चले गए इस प्रकार भगवान कार्तिकेय ने देवी पीड़ा भयंकर पराक्रमी तारकासुर युद्ध में जिस प्रकार संघार किया और जिस प्रकार अपने माता-पिता से उसका परिचय हुआ तब तब मैंने कह दिया अब तुम उसे कथा को सुन जिस प्रकार भगवान विष्णु प्रथम पूज्य गजानन के रूप में पार्वती पुत्र होकर गढ़ अधिपति बने इस प्रकार श्रीमद् भागवत पुराण के अंतर्गत श्री महादेव महाराज संवाद में कार्तिकेय कैलाश गण नमक अध्याय पूर्ण हुआ

The gods worship Kartikeya; Kartikeya comes to Kailash with Brahma to meet his parents; Lord Vishnu expresses his desire to receive the affection of Mother Parvati in the form of a son; Mahadevi grants the boon that his wish will be fulfilled. Shri Mahadev Ji said, "Great sage," then pleased, he went to Devgarh respectfully and pleased Kartikeya, absorbed in Goddess Parvati, with fragrance, flowers, incense, and various other sources. Prajapati Brahma, being Arun on his swan, came there on the plane, taking Kumar Kartikeya with him to Lord Shiva and started speaking to Kartikeya. Brahma said, "The Sun is affectionate, sorry, the world's Bhujia is your mother, and the world's downtrodden Mahadev is your father. You are the son of both of them, salute your parents, Mahadev, you stay here and nurture the entire world." Shri Mahadev Ji said, "On hearing this from the sage Brahma Ji, Goddess Parvati and Lord Sada Shiva, after contemplating with Mother, accepted Kartikeya as their son. Seeing Parvati lovingly saluting their sons, Lord Maheshwar, sitting in their lap, was overjoyed. I too was overjoyed to have a son." By inviting all the gods with all his heart, the great man celebrated the festival. The son of Lord Narayan Vishnu who had come there saw Kartikeya with beautiful form and divine body. Goddess Param Vishnu Prabhas was looking at all his aspects. Being in Devikot, that Kartik was happy considering it his great fortune. A thought came in the mind of the Supreme Lord Vishnu that I too should become the son of this Bhagwati and play in her lap. And why did the affectionate Bharat drink her milk? Thinking this, he meditated on Mother Goddess in his mind and bowed to her. When he left from there, then knowing her desire, Maheshwari Jagdamba said that Vishnu, you will become my son. After this, after bowing to Mahadevi Parvati, the God of Gods, Lord Sada Shiva, they went to their respective places. In this way, the way Lord Kartikeya killed the fierce and mighty Tarakasura in the battle with Goddess Peedha and the way he was introduced to his parents, then I said, now you listen to his story, the way Lord Vishnu became the son of Parvati in the form of the first worshipable Gajanan and became the ruler of the fort.
