सती का पिता के घर पहुंचना माता प्रस्तुति द्वारा सती का सत्कार करना तथा यज्ञ विधि वास के भयंकर स्वप्न को सुनना दक्ष द्वारा शिव की निंदा क्रोध सती द्वारा आया सती का प्रदूषण भाव और उसे यज्ञ नष्ट करने की आज्ञा देकर अंतर ध्यान हो जाना छाया सती का या कुंड में प्रवेश
श्री महादेव जी बोले नारद है के बाद सुंदर वृक्ष स्थल तथा खुले हुए केशव वाले दक्ष पुत्री भगवती सती रथ से उतरकर शीघ्रता पूर्वक अपने माता के पास चली गई अपनी पुत्री को बहुत दिनों बाद आई हुई देखकर दक्ष पत्नी प्रस्तुति ने गोद में लेकर वस्त्र से उनका मुख कमल पूछने लगी और बार-बार उनका मुख चूमती हुई रो-रो कर कहने लगी माता सर्वाधिक स्वर्ण सदाशिव को पति रूप में प्राप्त करके अपने सोचने योग्य नहीं रह गई है और आप हम लोगों को ₹100 महासागर में छोड़कर चली गई आप अत्यंत श्रेष्ठ तीनों लोगों की माता तथा आदि शक्ति है या मेरा महान भाग्य है कि आप साक्षात भगवती मेरे घरों से उत्पन्न हुए हैं सती मेरे घर में कृपा पूर्वक उपस्थित हुए आपको जो मैं देख रही हूं इसे बहुत दिनों में विद्यमान मेरा शौक आज दूर हो गया आपका दुर्बुद्धि पिता भी परम शिव को ना जानकर उस विशेष द्वेष भाव रखते हुए मुंह वश महान यज्ञ कर रहे हैं हमारे तथा विद्यमान मुनियों के द्वारा अनेक तरह से कहे जाने पर भी उन्होंने ना तो को और ना ही परमेश्वर शिव को बुलाया सती बोली सभी देवताओं के देवता यागेश्वर भगवान शिव का अपमान करके मेरे पिता समस्त देवताओं के साथ यज्ञ कर रहे हैं कोई कुछ भी मन किंतु मेरा तो ऐसा निश्चय है कि इस यज्ञ की समाप्ति निर्मित नहीं हो सकेगी प्रस्तुति बोली उत्तरी मैंने रात में जो अत्यधिक भयानक दरूद तथा अत्यंत रोमांचक स्वप्न देखा है उसे सुनो उसे महायज्ञ में जहां दक्ष प्रजापति देवताओं के के साथ स्थित थे वहां कोई देवी महेश्वरी आपका स्मार्ट था गई हुए महान लोगों की क्रांति के समान श्याम और वाली थी उसके बाल खुले हुए थे वह दिगंबर थी उनकी चार भुजाएं थी वह 18 कर रही थी और ज्वाला या मन तीनों नेत्रों से प्रकाशित थी उन्हें देखकर दक्ष प्रजापति आश्चर्यचकित हो गए और उन्होंने बिना पूर्वक पूछा आप कौन हैं किसकी पत्नी है और कहां यहां क्यों आए हैं उन्होंने कहा क्या आप नहीं जानते कि मैं आपकी पुत्री सती हूं इसके बाद दक्ष प्रजापति में शिव की धंधा करते हुए बहुत तरह की बात कही उसे सुनते ही और बड़े क्रोध से यज्ञ में उत्पत्ति उसके बाद भयानक कम करने वाले तथा भीषण आकार वाले करोड़ प्रथम गण क्षण भर में ही वहां उपस्थित हो गई और फिर कल अंतर तक यमराज के समान महान होगा प्रकार करने वाला कोई महान पुरुष भी क्यों आ गया उसे विष्णु आदि प्रमुख देवताओं को जीत कर प्रथम गांव के साथ महायज्ञ का इतिहास कर डाला और दक्ष प्रजापति का सिर काट लिया अब वह दक्ष प्रजापति मुक्तिहीन होकर या कुंड के किनारे पड़े रहे कोपिन वस्त्र धारण किया तथा जाता मुकुट से सुशोभित महान उग्र रूप वाले वे सभी प्रथम गढ़ क्रोधित होकर मानदक्ष प्रजापति को खाने को उद्धव हो गए उन्होंने समस्त पदों के पास में लपेट तथा हाथों में शुल्क क्लास और कड़क धारण किए हुए उनका रक्त पी रहे थे नाच रहे थे और हंस रहे थे तब दक्ष के सभी नगरवासी ऐसा देखकर व्याकुल हो उठी और होते हुए हाहाकार करने लगे तत्पश्चात ब्रह्मा जी ने देवर ही देव सदाशिव की विनय पूर्वक प्रार्थना करके उन्हें स्वयं बुलावा करता है इन दक्ष प्रजापति को अवश्य ही जीवित कीजिए विभव देव देव इस यज्ञ का समापन कीजिए और मुझ पर प्रसन्न हुए उसकी यह वह बात सुनकर शिव की निंदा किए जाने के कारण एक बकरे का सर जोड़कर भगवान शिव को दक्ष को जीवित कर दिया रात के थोड़ा शेष रहने पर मैं इस प्रकार का स्पर्श देखा था और आज वह श्याम और वाली तुम मेरे नगर में आए हुए हो मैं मैं जैसा स्वप्न में देखा था तुम वैसे ही दिखाई पड़ रहे हो और दक्ष प्रजापति के विषय में जैसा देखा कोई भी होने वाला है क्योंकि जिस देवी को मैंने स्वप्न में देखा था तुम्हें वैसे ही देख रही हूं माता किया या स्वप्न कभी भी फल हो सकेगा और शिव निंदा का समुचित फल प्राप्त कर वे दक्ष किया आपने वह खाता का त्याग करेंगे वह तथा तुम दोनों को जानकर सीख रही अपना देश त्याग देंगे पुत्री तुम चिरंजीव को और तुम्हारी कभी भी कोई हानि ना हो या भी हो तो अपना मात्र ही हो प्रत्येक में तो तुम दोनों दीर्घायु प्राप्त करोगे तुम जिसकी अपनी हो वह निश्चय ही शक करने योग्य नहीं है वह धन्य है और भाग्यवान है तुम कभी भी मेरा त्याग मत करना क्योंकि मैं तुम्हारी मां हूं

Sati's arrival at her father's home; Mother Prastuti's hospitality for Sati; and hearing the horrific dream of the sacrificial ritual; Daksha's condemnation of Shiva; Sati's anger; Sati's feeling of pollution and her command to destroy the sacrificial ritual; and her entering the pond.
Lord Shiva said, "Narada!" After that, Goddess Sati, Daksha's daughter, with her beautiful tree-like hair and her hair open, alighted from the chariot and hurried to her mother. Seeing her daughter return after a long time, Daksha's wife Prastuti took her in her lap and began to trace her face with her clothes. Kissing her face repeatedly, she wept and said, "Mother, having received the most golden Sadashiv as her husband, you are no longer capable of thinking about yourself, and you have left us in the ocean. You are the most excellent, the mother of the three worlds and the Adi Shakti. Or is it my great fortune that you, the Goddess herself, were born from my homes. Sati has graciously appeared in my home. Seeing you, my long-cherished desire for you has been dispelled today." The father of bad intellect, not knowing the supreme Shiva, is doing a great yagya with that special hatred in his mouth. Despite being told in many ways by us and the present sages, he neither called nor Parameshwar Shiva. Sati said, insulting the god of all gods, Yageshwar Lord Shiva, my father is doing yagya with all the gods. No one can think anything but I am sure that this yagya will not be able to end. Sati said, listen to the extremely dreadful and thrilling dream that I saw last night. In the great yagya, where Daksha Prajapati was present with the gods, there was a goddess Maheshwari, your smart one, dark and like the revolution of the great people, her hair was open, she was naked, she had four arms, she was doing 18 and the flame or mind was shining from all the three eyes, seeing her, Daksha Prajapati was surprised and he asked without any reason, who are you, whose wife are you and where and why have you come here? She said, don't you know that I am your daughter Sati. After this, Daksha Prajapati had the business of Shiva. While doing this he said many kinds of things, on hearing him and with great anger, the origin of the yajna was there, after that crores of first Ganas of terrible form and having terrible deeds appeared there in a moment and then why did some great man who would be as great as Yamraj come, after defeating the main gods like Vishnu etc. he made history of the great yajna with the first village and cut off the head of Daksha Prajapati, now that Daksha Prajapati remained lying on the bank of the pond without any freedom, wearing a loin cloth and adorned with a crown, all those first Ganas of great fierce form, enraged, turned towards Uddhava to eat Daksha Prajapati, they wrapped all their legs around him and were drinking his blood while holding Shubhkas and Kadak in their hands, were dancing and laughing, then all the citizens of Daksha's city became restless seeing this and started crying out loud, then Brahma ji prayed to Dev Sadashiv himself and called him, please bring this Daksha Prajapati back to life, Vibhav Dev Dev, please conclude this yajna and being pleased with me, this is what happened to him. Hearing this, because of the slander of Shiva, Lord Shiva brought Daksha back to life by attaching the head of a goat. When the night was still a little left, I had seen this kind of touch and today that Shyam and Vali, you have come to my city. You are looking the same as I saw in my dream. And whatever I saw about Daksha Prajapati is going to happen because the goddess whom I saw in my dream, I am seeing you the same way. Mother, any dream can ever bear fruit and after getting the proper result of slandering Shiva, Daksha will renounce his account and knowing both of you, he will renounce his country. Daughter, you should live long and no harm should ever come to you or if any harm comes to you, it should be your own only. In each of you, both of you will attain long life. The one who has you as his own is certainly not doubtable, he is blessed and fortunate. You should never abandon me because I am your mother.
